This super computer has 300000 cores ~, and it's like running 10000 instances in aws. one supercomputer will earn about 18000$ per day. Vulcan have 393 216 computer cores, but Vulcan admin most probably will not let you rent all computer cores. ;DThis super computer has 300000 cores ~, and it's like running 10000 instances in aws. one supercomputer will earn about 18000$ per day. I really doubt if you can mine anything on this archiceture Power7, PowerPC A2 . LOL that is a little harsh. That said, this is pretty interesting but I think the problem would be finding mining software for the architecture (as vuli so eloquently put it). For $600 you could always test out the performance yourself :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-8233-E8B-P750-POWER7-3-0GHZ-8CORE-RPS-P-SERIES-SERVER-/263189243517?epid=1300601511&hash=item3d474d267d:g:6sEAAOSwvjdZVA1M |
