      seems to work fine by now. however all that has been said about announcements etc. is still true. why did the creator mess up like that? it can still make up for the messed up launch since block rewards are still at 1/40.

      unless you have 100Mhs i would forget it, someone with massive hash is sucking the life out of this coin. All you will see is rejects and orphans.

      Yeah, my point was sort of the opposite. Like that someone is mining with massive hashing power gobbling up all the blocks. I may be wrong though.
      And of course, since i have found a few blocks it is time for the obligatory

      Indeed, technically valid results being submitted incredibly quickly.

      For now, reduce your scan and expiry times. With the rising diff, the conditions should improve steadily  ;)

      Also, don't worry about the diff shown in cgminer...not really sure why it does that sometimes.

      Scooby903 , I believe you are right, the secondary port listing is not necessary.

      If you guys are having a bit of trouble with the p2pool you can always set a failover (solo I guess at this point) within cgminer.

      Nope, a single wallet with an 'rpcallowip:x.x.x.x' per machine in the uscoin.conf will do it  ;)

      Nope, a single wallet with an 'rpcallowip:x.x.x.x' per machine in the uscoin.conf will do it  ;)

      but if i dont have wallet where can i put uscoin.conf?

      You only need the single wallet (let's call it the host @ 192.168.1.1) and you just edit that particular .conf file.

      So, if you want to connect machine 2 (192.168.1.2) to the host, your host/wallet would have rpcallowip:192.168.1.2. Then, your miner would be instructed to connect to 192.168.1.1:whateverport .

      Hopefully I'm not forgetting something/making a stupid mistake in this explanation, heh.

      "rpcport=80" < I don't think you need that.

      Your .conf looks good, did you try 'cgminer --scrypt -s 5 --queue 0 --expiry 5 -o http://192.168.1.1:9332 -u x -p x'  ??

      You could run multiple wallets (one per machine with different addresses) but I think your hashes will potentially be less effective.

      If you want to run separate wallets then yes, you would need to set each one to localhost/127.0.0.1

      Ideally, we will avoid the complication/nuisance of multiple wallets.

      Let's try simplifying those launch commands, cgminer shouldn't be closing like that but I've found it to be rather particular and sometimes highly illogical.

      cgminer --scrypt -o  http://192.168.1.1:9332 -u **** -p *****

      try removing that secondary rpcport (80) in your uscoin.conf, could be causing a bit of trouble.

      Make sure your .conf name looks like 'USCoin.conf' (caps for the first 3 letters) and also make sure it isn't a .txt.bat, notepad will spit that out by default unless you change the file type to 'all' when saving.

      Are you able to solo mine on the host machine through localhost/127.0.01?

      Looks like it's working to me for your host machine. That long polling message isn't a problem.

      Are you sure your host is 192.168.1.1?? You can check by typing ipconfig into cmd. Look for address that starts with 192.168.1.?? and enter that one in.

      I believe that's basically the only possible issue now. Some routers assign 192.168.15.x and other semi-random numbers to avoid potential conflicts I guess, just double check.

      It's important to note the 1 coin per block period after the genesis was hashed. That evens out the distribution somewhat to prevent early adopters from crashing the markets at a moments notice, especially when you compare it to some of the high initial reward (yet quickly decreasing) algorithms we have been seeing of late.

      I would rather know about a pre-mine than not, it's obviously very easy to adjust the reward algorithms so a dev can mine a ton without anyone really knowing what happened or any expectations of those rewards being used for anything but personal trade.

      Me and waylon531 were making a USC (americoin) as a semi-joke
      The site: www.americoin.pw
      Never finished development though and I guess releasing it wouldn't help anyone that much

      That's interesting as someone posted a link on here yesterday to Americoin source, then deleted their thread and started another one trying to warn people off with a virus message. Funny thing is that is seems to be complete with graphics and no viruses. Difficulty is easy and there are very few people on it. Some people must have noticed this as they has been some talk on the BTC-e chatbox.

      Is this your Scrypt Americoin?

      OP nothing a government hates more is when you play in their pool.  Best to keep clear of an country specific branded digital coins lest you want to get into a legal battle with said nation.

      lol, where has the 'US' part of the name been defined?... I suggest you look into the *actual* reasons why the 'liberty dollar' was taken down by the FBI. Little hint, the two letters 'US' are no more incriminating than 'BT' is.

      Yes, Homeland Security often plays by their own rules but your misunderstanding of their motivations is rather funny.

Leave your computer logged in and someone is bound to launch a coin with your account :) When connecting there were two nodes up. Both of which were on the east coast of America, I was kind of hoping that they would be in China  :P

      you need to really hype up this coin, i barely have a thousand but i opened a doc exchange and have been encouraging people to join in, but seeing how laid back you are, the community is moving on. you premined, but you are not doing give away or other marketing gimmicks to entice people to join up. new coins are good business, but if they are not showing love to the community they die in a week, the hash rate is already dropping. I promise you, unless you start pushing and hustling, everyone will be holding this new "scam/joke coin". i don't mean it offensively, but i mine alts for a living, and this one has a OP who isn't doing much to get it going, if you need help, pay a few choice people some hefty coin, the right people hyping your coin will make it take off nicely.

      1) Start the giveaway now,
      2) start hyping
      3) Advertise,
      4) Lets get some services going

      If you find the workload too much, talk to some people and have them join in on development. The days of coin+pool=$$$$ are over. This coin needs Services like somewhere to gamble, trade for other coins, trade for goods, tertiaries like hiring a server. Example, i rent out scrypt mining @ 2 LTC/Mh 24hrs for altcoins only. I have a total of 5 Mh and everytime a new viable coin comes out, i get mad orders.

      BOOT UP THIS COIN OP!!!!

      I'd say first let's restructure the bounties, then split the workload amongst the team. The idea of paying people is good incentive, but maybe, let's pay for results.

      We need to keep bumping this post, it keeps it on the first page and people will start paying attention.

      Around the time of the block reward increase, a non-malicious fork took place (one miner achieved a lucky streak). Although the only actual effect for the long-term operation of the chain is the possibly significant reduction in overall coins existing in a spendable state, the fork also demonstrates exactly why you do not want block discovery times under ~ 2 min. Although often overlooked, the block discovery time is integral to the security off the network. Neither bitcoin nor litecoin chose their parameters randomly. Having a good portion of your 'honest'/non-malicious network constantly behind due to floods of NB notifications is not a state any blockchain should target.

      Lol... U are both missing some blocks then :p It appears the blockexplorer machine is farthest so far.. one other machine is stuck on 20732 and one is stuck on 20766..

      Code:
      /.USCoin$ uscoind getinfo
      {
          "version" : 60300,
          "protocolversion" : 60001,

          "mininput" : 0.00010000,
          "errors" : ""
      }

      @All: try to connect with following setting in conf:

      Code:
      connect=149.210.131.122:8350

      once you are uptodate remove that line and use the normal lines again. I hope that might help...

      EDIT: you can even let it in together with the addnodes, or change connect to addnode.. All my clients are now at 20777...

      this is great!! We get to develop this coin at our own pace and not get rushed by the pump and dump crowd, building is painful but success is for the strong. Many thanks to those who are actively helping develop and the loyal miners who are keeping the chain alive and kicking.
      we are currently compiling a list of possible services we can provide, any ideas and suggestions are welcome, PM me. If you have viable code already, we'd be willing to compensate you.

      That may be true, but I dont know who launched those. But I am paying programmers to achieve the goals we are after this is not a release and pray it gets done. If we have a goal that is not achieved in a timely manner, I will simply fund it via btc/ltc to get the coin going out of my own pocket. Even have a couple things that are unknown to crypto as of yet that I will be helping get implemented in the coming weeks. If you want to dump the coin, go ahead some of the devs on the team will probably buy the coins at your discounted prices. :D

      we are not here to pump and dump. Please consider this, people have complained about everything, yet continue to mine. The coin has remained steady and were are working on developing it. By the way, please research what really happened to GMC, it had low difficulty, and large farms pointed at it, ergo fail. We have a hashrate that balances with our difficulty making for a steady outcome. If serious coin is what you want, stick around, you'll be surprised.

      Dude there are no nodes to this... I started mining my own chain for a little bit actually.

      OT: How do you mine your own chain w/o nodes?

      This project slipped into the cracks due to work getting into the way. If a dev would like to take this over, I can push the domain, site, and zipped files from the last time we had it functioning properly to whoever takes over. I got PMs from users to ask if we could hand off the project, so if someone would like to send me a PM saying you are interested.
