Title: Selling Bitcoins on EBay? Post by: cardcomm on May 25, 2013, 01:52:13 AM Anyone have any comments on the perils and/or benefits of selling Bitcoins on Ebay? Obviously it seems like there is a significant profit there. But I assume there are lots of problems with chargebacks.

You just seem to have a 10% chance of not getting scammed when selling on sites/forums like this.

Yet there are continually vendors on eBay selling bitcoins. Some of them have quite a history. They must have either found ways to prevent chargeback fraud, or at least to mitigate it. I believe some of them attempt to mitigate the risk by shipping the customer written confirmation of the transaction. Again, I'm not saying it's a good idea. I realize it's fraught with peril. Most people have to overcharge now on ebay to pay the fees anyway. Not good forum for buyers and sellers other than the massive "habitual" browsing and bookmarks that keep feeding that dying beast. If the seller can prove somehow that he delivered what the customer ordered, then he keeps the money.
