Anyone knows the address and the decimals for TRX? I have Googeled but can't find the specifics.

Yeah I was watching other wallets on etherscan today, and saw a bunch of them got up too 1.000.000 tronix or whatever its called. Including wallets using smart contracts to distribute coins for ICO's.

What is TRON?

TRON aims to "heal the Internet" by constructing a worldwide free content entertainment system on the blockchain. The protocol allows users to freely publish, store and own data, enabling them to own the rights to their content and decide when, how, and at what cost to share it.


Sun wants to position TRON as a new kind of "distributed economy" in digital entertainment—including anything from streaming video to online gambling to social networks—where the users themselves own the economy. What is TRON?

TRON is a highly ambitious project. They are trying to bring the internet to a decentralized state. As you may or may not know, major corporations receive a majority of views on the internet and have huge control over what happens. This creates a state of censorship and loss of free thought to a degree. Tron is aiming at creating a web 4.0 that will give you ownership of your data and decentralize the internet. Tron will be run as a non-profit foundation. They want to start doing business differently, which is highly interesting. They want to focus the control on creation with people and move away from centralized data.

The TRON 20 token

This TRON coin will let you be an individual content owner. This will be the token that individuals send to each other to buy or sell their digital assets to others. This will create value in the TRON economy.

TRONIX Coin

The TRONIX coin is the basic unit of the blockchain. These TRON coins are going to be used to access and exit the network. These will be the tokens that will be on the actual coin exchanges. This will give you things like voting rights and higher status in the ecosystem.

Just partnered with Gifto. This is digital and virtual gifting on the blockchain, which is very hot right now. Also partnered with MLG Blockchain which is trying to introduce TRON to the west to get people familiar with it.
The CEO created a social app called Peiwo in China and has 10 million users currently. They are currently in the process of integrating TRON into the app. Let’s be real here, China is not going to be anti digital currency. They have been heavily involved as the rest of the world plays catch up.
Data creators, which are the users, will have the fundamental ownership of data. This was proposed by Dr. Tim Berners-Lee when the internet was born. This was the original intention for the creation of the internet.
The users on the TRON network will be entitled to proportional profits according to rules. A value network has the greatest advantage that may digitally capitalize anything in social and media networks. This means users will be paid to use this network.
Users will be paid based on the time they spend and data creation on this network. Basically, participants will earn more for their time invested on the network and content creation.
Tron wants to provide services to the public free of charge. TRON is operated by a non-profit organization and is designed to serve the masses who enjoy content entertainment throughout the world rather than for the purpose of gaining profits. All tron participants will benefit from its prosperity.
Contents should come from people rather than capitals. This system will then reward participants for their contributions. They want cultural and creative industries to pursuit the quality of art and contents rather than the capitalists.
Their network will also include decentralized infrastructures such as distributed exchange and autonomous gaming.
TRON Cons

Market supply of the TRON coin is 100 Billion. Some people do not like the fact that there is a lot of supply here.
Last step scheduled for release in April 2023 – September 2025. This isn’t a really a con, but some impatient people may deem so.

Conclusion

TRON has amazing potential to be a major disruption in the asian market. They have been aggressively growing, recently hitting a 2 billion market cap, but this number doesn’t come close to what it can be worth in a few years. I honestly see this value hitting 10b minimum over the next year. TRON already has an established user base from the app Peiwo that they will be integrating in which is great. They have growth 600% in the past 2 weeks and backed by a professional team and big names and investors in the industry. TRON will definitely make an impact on the asian market very soon. Let’s just see if this project can expand globally.

I am considering to rebuy Tronix since I exchanged them all to Ripple. However, I'm getting pissed because if I stayed put, my Tronix would have doubled it's value because of it's sudden rise. When I'm going to have little funds later on, Tronix would be one of those tokens that I will buy.

I just don't care about the price anymore. I can see that it would grow later on. Congrats for those who stayed put though (I just banged my head many times because of selling Tronix to buy Ripple.

Justin Sun has positioned himself in such a way that I believe will bring Tron to a top 5 cryptocurrency of 2018. I believe Tron is incredibly undervalued and their mission misunderstood. I think today we saw a tiny portion of what’s to come with the partnership announcements, and I think these pictures with the likes of Jack Ma and the Lenovo founder aren’t just cheap shills. Jack Ma has a history of investing in the projects of Hupan University’s graduate projects, and I believe given the fact that Tron has two Hupan University graduates/friends of Jack Ma, the odds are in Justin Sun’s favor.

So...
i started looking into tron/trx from yesterday and decided to go in with 10.000 coins. Right now, i am worried if i stepped in because of genuine news about a good team attracting good people from other companies and a financial capability to make this all happen, or only read hyped news with no foundation.

i cannot find where the employees would be seen as frauds and "The founder's reputation is so bad here, he cheated investors since he told them he is the China head of XRP, but he is not! almost all of his resumes are fake!"
but i can also not find where the positive stories are based upon. i can see however how every employee is named with his function and former company as if this is a gamechanger for the coin. i can also see pictures from social media taken by the investors as proof of big companies teaming up with this coin.

Are there some people here who can shed light on this coin, i would like to know if i will be in this for the long, or the hype.
also, @revelacaogr, what is your affliation with the company/coin next to having a large stack? how is it valuable for this starting coin that you are posting about a coin that will be based on that, or naming which universities someone attended.

Tron Foundation want to be a platform for multiple use cases across a wide variety of industries, and have them all connected within a decentralized shared economy. They want to build Web 4.0 and take on Google, Apple and Facebook as a content distribution platform. Giving the power back to the people to decide their own pricing, distribution, and economic models and control every aspect of their own creations and content. Instead of giving Google of Apple 40% you'd just pay the content creator directly for things. There are so so so many possibilities here.. This is starting to be represented in their partnerships.. Using TRX as a transferable currency between ALL partners and apps built and connected to TRON will be huge.

I just received 18 TRX. I did not participate at any airdrop recently. Has there been any airdrop for TRX? Is Tronix the same as TRON? Hope someone can enlighten me about this one.

Airdrop was, everyone was giving out TRX on the exchange, but they were handing out as it is not clear who was given who to whom not! And later, who did not manage to sell it, he disappeared from the account! Soon migration to your network, let's see what will come of it.
