Post by: Lilpete888 on September 08, 2017, 07:42:26 AM
I sent 0.32 from freebitco.in to my coinbase account and it never came theres no record of it on my coinbase account

Same thing for me, only I transferred from bittrex to coinbase.

There are a lot of people on coinbase right now with the same problem.

Ive tranfered many times this is the first time this has happened, i dont know if its stolen tho because if they had my private key why hasnt my account been drained? Only my incoming transaction has gone missing im confused? It is 100% the right recieve address but theres no record of it on my coinbase that is was ever sent its not even pending

Its not stolen. Coinbase works by keeping a record of your balance in their OWN private database and send the central funds to their own wallet. This is how online wallets/service function.

If its on the Blockchain, you are probably fine. I don't think CoinBase has gone scam after so many years.

Can you confirm the address you withdraw your coins to (coinbase address) was: 1KoP3jrc3YbQJsmGZjhozhfddywqQKh1Hu ?

I assume that is just a deposit address and you don't have the private keys for that address? and coinbase just credits your "account" with a 0.32 deposit right? If so, it is not unusual for those coins to be moved on... you don't control them, as coinbase has the private keys... they control them... and will simply be using them to settle someone else's withdraw/transfer.

If you account has not been credited with the 0.32 btc deposit, that is definitely Coinbase's issue... as you've noted, their support site says that Bitcoin has "degraded performance"... probably means it is just taking a while for them to process all the deposits and assign them to the right accounts... give it a few hours, maybe raise a support ticket if it has been more than 12 (or the status update changes back to normal and your coins still haven't arrived)

If it is related to the Coinbase, you could always write a request with the problem to their Support Team (https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/emails/new).

I think the more requests, the more active the Support Team will respond to the existing issue.

if this address (1KoP3jrc3YbQJsmGZjhozhfddywqQKh1Hu)  is true and its your own coinbase address. you get your balance in a few hours. calm down.
