Title: What is the solution for global warming?
Post by: Thehound on September 09, 2017, 02:50:24 PM
Because some People doesn't care about pollution.

The trees are the answers. Everytime a tree is cut, plant another. Trees eat out air pollution and keeps the earth cooler. Eliminate and reduce the utilization of plastic in order to cut-off landfills of plastics. Plastic doesn't deterioate unlike paper. It also easily clogs drains causing water pollution. Also, it wouldn't hurt to recycle and segregate wastes.

We need to take care of our planet, leave more vegetation, and not destroy it to build some factories or entertainment complexes that will pollute everything around.

If all people will cooperate (which is truly impossible), we can always make a solution for something. There is no concrete solution to this if there are more irresponsible minds than those people who really cares. The only way to heal the nature is when the whole human race is wiped out.

Solution for global warming are:
1. Plant trees as many as we can
2. Do not throw garbage on the seas
3. Keep our environment clean
4. Stop using gas that can cause smoke polution

Plant lot of trees. That is the easiest solution to reduce global warming.

well we should all start to calculate how much we actually need to spend, because everyone spends more than they should. Too much gas, too much electricity, too much water. All this adds up if you multiply it by 6 billion (earth's population)

The solution starts in every individual. Each and everyone of us are liable in every changes that our world is becoming right now. From our individual home to the community that we lived in, its our responsibility to take care and be careful of everything that we do especially to the environment. Doing simple things like throwing our garbage properly and appropriately. Garbage segragation and control of using plastic materials. Energy saving by controlling our electricity consumption. It always starts within us.. at home and at work. It takes you and me to deal with this global warming. If I can do it, then you can do it. And we can do it all. Otherwise, we will suffer. Let's take care mother earth and she will take care us back.

it's way too late, already happening. Unless human race cooperates to fight this global warming then we might have a chance.

The planet will take care of itself.

Global warming will increase until a good percentage of humanity dies.

Then it will decrease.  :)

Plant many trees, discipline in throwing garbage in other areas
And thats the best solution in global warming problem.

Because some People doesn't care about pollution.

This problem will be the major problem in the future. People nowadays don't have care anymore to the environment. Solution is in ourselves first. We must be responsible person as we live here in the earth, being responsible is easy. We need to know what is wrong and what is right to our environment. Even some basic segregating of garbage still can't do of some people.

Because some People doesn't care about pollution.

in my opininon, theres many way to do that:
1.  including improvements to energy efficiency and vehicle fuel economy (so less energy has to be produced), and increases in wind and solar power, hydrogen produced from renewable sources, biofuels (produced from crops), natural gas, and nuclear power. There is also the potential to capture the carbon dioxide emitted from fossil fuels and store it underground.
2.  Plant trees.  Trees take up CO2.  The numbers actually work out.  To offset anthropogenic carbon emissions, it is something like 1.4 trillion trees that would have to be planted every year.
3.Use a lot of plant-based plastic.  If packaging can be made from plant-based plastic, that is an easy way to sequester carbon.  The big caveat is to use plant oils from plants which are not also food sources, since the extra economic demand could upset the global food economy.  Water for the agricultural production of the oil crop may be an issue.
4.etc

We need to plant trees. There is too much CO2 in the atmosphere, but the more trees we plant the more CO2 will be removed (absorbed) by the trees and replaced with oxygen.

There is no sense on making people stop using incandescent lightbulbs (replaced by the more expensive and toxic low consumption bulbs) or stopping you from getting plastic bags on the supermarket, if, at same time, a company/factory in one month can contaminate the water and the air much more than a full city in a year.

First control the factories, they are responsible for biggest contamination, then, go for the people.

I think the best solution for global warning is DISIPLINE in each one of us .. Example proper throwing of garbage, we should practice the proper segregation of garbage like 3R (Recycle, Reduce, Reuse) or biodegradable, non biodegradable and recycle. Don't cut trees, to prevent flash flood, smoke bleaching or smoking everywhere to prevent air pollution, even to factory who produce bad smoke .. Dont throw garbage in water ways ..

Mankind, oddly enough, not only to destroy the planet, but also to protect her. Global warming is too massive a problem to solve it alone, but with the help of “green” actions undertaken by you, you can at least a little bit, but to move the situation for the better and to inspire similar actions and other people.

It seems to me that alone a person can not solve anything. For this, there should be natural state programs and the implementation of which must be accompanied by laws of acts. If somewhere, or something is broken, then it must be punished very severely. Then all laws will be observed and the state will actively participate in global environmental problems and preservation of peace.

Oh my, where to start!

1. Reduce the amount of meat we consume - the farming industry is the biggest contributor to climate change. We all eat way more meat than we need. Most people cannot phantom a meal without meat, or at least to get it at least once a day - it is not necessary - vegan or vegetarian days are perfectly fine and you leave a much lower carbon footprint. If we do not decrease the amount of meat we consume, it does not matter how hard you try with everything else - the carbon footprint is simply way too big.
2. Stop wasting more packaging we need, especially plastic. How often don't you get a plastic bag at the shop because you did not bring one from home? How many things are not packaged in more packaging than is actually needed. Producing packaging has a considerable footprint on climate change.
3. Instead of taking the car - walk or take the bike.
4. Stop eating snacks that contains palm oil - palm oil plant farming is one of the biggest reasons that the rainforest in Brazil is being deforested. Biscuits, cakes etc. that you find in stores all contain palm oil (very few don't) - the reason? It is cheap to produce, but its carbon footprint in production is huge - especially when deforestation is taken into account.
5. Rely on green energy instead - governments need to take action here and follow in the footprint of the Scandinavian countries. My home town in Denmark expects to be run by green energy fully some time next year. There has been huge investments into solar panels and wind mills to name a few.

As a result of all this we can expect that:
- By 2045 the majority of the world seas will be fish-less (General consensus in the scientific community).
- In 30 years there will be no more coral-reefs - they cannot adapt to the warming sea temperatures. In 2016 alone 30% of the great barrier reef (which is the biggest structure made by any organism on the planet) died out.
- Most rain-forests will be gone circa 2050.
- Sea levels will rise and that will cause mass migration not to mention huge local government costs that you tax-payers will have to pay.
- Glaciers will be a thing of the past - they are melting at record levels already.

We have a window of approximately 20 years to make drastic changes - if we do not reduce our carbon emission, it will simply be too late by then and nothing can be reversed.

Global warming. When is it coming. Can't wait.
This year has been way too cold so far. The whole summer it rained a LOT, and it was cold too.
It is like there was no summer this year.

SO what can we do to make this global warming happen faster?

In recent years the Earth's climate varies considerably: some countries suffer from extreme heat, others too harsh and snowy winters, unusual for this area.

Lots of focus on planting trees in here - that scares me a lot! People really should be aware of the biggest contributors to climate change.

THE number ONE cause impacting climate change IS the animal farming industry. We eat more meat than we have EVER done in Europe and America. Not only does that have negative health consequences to eat too much meat (higher rates of cancer and heart disease) but it also IS the primary driver behind climate change. If everyone in the world started eating just half the amount of meat that they currently do instead, we would already be way closer to a solution to climate change.

How much time do we have? 20 years to the date. If we do not make drastic changes in this time, climate change is permanent and irreversable.

Segregate garbage the biodegradable to non-biodegradable, plant trees, conserve water because it can lessen the carbon pollution, use better and efficient home materials just like LED lights, use a solar panel(if you have), save electricity! There are lot of things that every individual can do to prevent this global warming. You can use your voice or social media to encourage other people to do better.

solution to global warming is simply to dismiss all the polluting factories. limiting the production of vehicles, both cars and motorcycles. requires one person to plant one tree. for violating given a very severe punishment so that all obey him.

Planting trees, since it produces oxygen, holds water in its roots, and provides shades. You can observe that it is less warm in places with lots of trees compare to cities with less.

Global warming is caused by 80% of the world's natural forests having been cut down.

Rainfall comes from water evaporated from plant leaves. Trees function as giant water evaporation plants. Cutting down swaths of forestland reduces evaporation, which in turn causes drought.

Trees sequester carbon. Forests left on their own will naturally absorb and store tons of carbon dioxide.

Colder winters can be attributed to a phenomenon known as "global dimming". Air pollution in the atmosphere blocks/reflects the sun's rays during winter. This offsets and overpowers the greenhouse gas effect resulting in colder weather than normal.

Lets say theres a lot of ways to prevent global warming but its hard to apply even to ourselves. If we could turn off our lights or the electricity for one hour, it could help.

We should have a proper waste disposal and we ought to protect the hidden treasures from our ancestors. Plant trees to nurture the face of the earth. We can do it if we have the same mind, the same knowledge, the same goals.

Trees/plants fulfill two purposes relevent to weather.

#1 Trees/plants store carbon. Forests store tons of CO2 naturally.

#2 Trees/plants evaporate water constantly through their leaves. The evaporated water becomes rain.

Statistically, 80% of the world's forests have been cut down. This gives us less plants to absorb/store(sequester) CO2 and less evaporated water which creates drought.

The best solution to combat climate change is to implement seed bombing, afforestation and initiate programs against desertification.

Also to reduce consumption of industries which are responsible for unnecessary cutting down of rainforests. Like some said the meat industry is a big offender of this. The palm oil industry in indonesia is also another big destroyer of natural rainforests.

Not eliminating the Paris Agreement, for starter?

I think that it's a matter of both regulations, and eco-friendly laws, something that we cannot influence.
And then there's something we can do on our own - me included. Use bikes instead of cars - and that is something really difficult, for me at least.
And a lot of other saving tricks.

Our planet is our home and we just don't care about it

Reduction on population. Imagine if the worlds population is reduced to a quarter or even to half. Less demand on supply means more chance for everything to grow although this is impossible. Don't worry too much, because of mans wrong doings this world will collapse in no time. Melting of ice glaciers and increasing water levels on oceans will just lead to everyone drowning unless humans find a way to live underwater and pollute it as well.

In order to effectively address global warming, we must significantly reduce the amount of heat-trapping emissions we are putting into the atmosphere.

As individuals, we can help by taking action to reduce our personal carbon emissions. But to fully address the threat of global warming, we must demand action from our elected leaders to support and implement a comprehensive set of climate solutions.

Massive investment in renewables. Step one would be to build enough renewable energy to run the whole planet and then some. Then convert all diesel and gasoline engines to hydrogen. You can modify existing engines easily. Boom, done.
