My bitcoins continue to tumble what I will do I have already lost just 10 $ ago by the chinese goverment to stop the operation of the ICOs and now also stop the Exchanger in China. I do not want to reduce the value of my bitcoins yet. Help me enlighten my mind. And explain to me what's happening I'm just a beginner here so I'm scared. Please do not tell me anything bad.

Well, bitcoin is very volatile, and at this moment, because of the ICO's ban, some news that downgrade bitcoin, are making bitcoin's value to decrease in my opinion. If I were you, would definitely hold the BTC, because after this, it might increase it's value again. Or it might be because of the hard fork happening in November.  In the end, you are better of holding them, if you don't need to use them !

You don't need to worry as this happens many times. In July the Bitcoin price fell below some unexpected range but after few days it even crossed its previous range with huge increase of the amount. These things should not give you the panic of loosing your money because you will not loose anything. Just hold you Bitcoins for now and wait to see how the price goes up again. It may take it 1 month or even 3 months but it will go up for sure. Bitcoin is not to go down, it is to go up. Trust in Bitcoin and clear out your mind that it will go up soon.

That's bitcoin for you right there. A lot of people who have been into crypto longer than I have find this very normal. So if you're investing for the next 1-5 years you should be good with your investment. Nothing to worry about.

Same thing happened last weekend, just hold on tight. The value will restore, although if you bought in late this week it might take a week before you get any gains out of it. But eventually the prices will rise and especially with Bitcoin.

This is the part we always tend to have concerns and I am happy that you took your time and sum up.confidence to ask question on a forum where people are willing to help because if you hadn't, you would have lost twice. One by selling low because of the fear it might plummet the more and two when the price eventually increase even higher than when you bought it initially (this is the worse of it though). It might be hard to do but as a newbie, just take of your eyes from the current happenings around price so you avoid the pressure to sell.

The price has crashed numerous times because we are in a bubble, and this happened many times over the history of Bitcoin. It is nothing new. This time only it will last longer, like maybe a few years.

I think this is because of panic selling and you may feel it now. You have done a good step to ask first. I'm not an expert and I'm not very good about it but I have read and learned a lot. So I say that you do not sell. as you experience more severe when you get caught up in the rise of bitcoins because of the high price you can buy it. And of course the lower bitcoins you get.

I think this is normal. China have issued a -temporary- ban on ico's but some people are panicking.

it is a bit beyond this. the market reacted to the ico news with the initial dip. then, as we were just about to recover from that debacle, the so far unsubstantiated rumor about the Chinese exchanges closing brought the price down AGAIN. we still only have a single source of this rumor, someone over at viabtc that made a doomsday tweet, i believe.

if the rumors are true, this is total shit. notice the price has been hovering in a narrow range, people across all markets are still kind of unsure about all this, and it is showing. at least we arent deadcat bouncing anymore, but we are far from out of the woods yet.

hang tight. worse case scenario, it will flash crash, instead of listing downward slowly. anything is possible, but the market is already poised to react, so this should be quick, if it does happen.

And I thought after 2014 people became smarter and stopped reacting to every piece of news coming from China. It's obvious some people are manipulating the news there or simply making them up to profit from market dips. They knew the price is going up like crazy and something has to be done to bring it down so they can buy before another big push for $5000 and here you go.

Keep calm dude, have some beer to chill up your mind and heart. Bitcoins are not going anywhere and its value is plummeting because of people just like you who are selling in panic, stop panicking first of all. It is completely intrinsic in terms of bitcoins to come down too. It has already risen above 400% this year alone which is not less than a milestone because nothing in this world went that high when it used to be in 3 figures in such a short span of time. If you will sell now, you will regret later. Better keep them with yourself until the storm settles, then wait for the right time and sell off.

This is the free market in action, brother.  How long have you been into crypto?  Probably
not that long, I'd imagine, else you would be prepared for dips and crashes like this.  And
not too long ago we crashed to $1900.  Think about that.  I assume you bought in at the
recent top...you should have waited.  But just hold on and don't get scared.  And definitely
don't invest money that you're going to need for living expenses.  If you do that you won't
have to watch the market constantly and fret about it.

Bitcoin is crashing for good.  You should sell it.  I'll buy it from you for $1000.

That's a normal thing. Just hold your Bitcoin and avoid selling it as its price is falling. Wait for exchangers with high exchanging rate. No need to worry in such situation like this. Surely, it will be back into normal eventually even if it will take a period of time. But ofcourse patience is the key, if you want to earn profit, you should be patient and wait for the right time to sell it.

This is just a temporary dip dude. Bitcoin has survived far worse problems and has survived them all like a champion. Nothing can topple bitcoin and slow down its momentum. Just keep HODLng! ;D

This is usual behavior. The most important thing is not to panic. What was the reason you bought the btc? If it was to earn profit, wait until it rises above what you have bought it for and then sell.

Just take a deep breath, drink a beer ( if you're old enough)  and keep your bitcoins. The price will go up because this is a normal situation. cheers  :)

Never panick with this kind of things. Follow more news and be patient. It's the key. If you panic, you make wrong trades which will result in economis loss of money and altcoins.

.014 BTC is like 60 bucks. Even a 40% drop in value is the cost of a pizza. If this level of loss keeps you up night maybe you shouldn't be investing in anything.

The basic thing you have to understand when trading with crypto currency is that never to sell off your coins at a loss as the market do recover in a short period of time,since you are holding a small amount of coin you could add up when the price falls further as you could profit by holding it for a longer period of time.

BTCC even confirmed they are still operating normally and haven't heard anything from any regulators. I just posted there! It's fake news! Spread the word!! You'll get those$10 back asap and then your $200 worth of bitcoins will double.

You don't need to worry this always happen. In May Bitcoin's price fell below some unexpected range but,  after few days nor months it may even reach it's highest price history. Just always stay calm mate. If your loosing 10$ think of some big investors that is losing alots of money on bitcoin. my suggestion is to just put your BTC
 on an altcoin if you're really scared to have a red mark on BTC.

be patient, don't panic this is only temporary,
still holding bitcoin ,, bitcoin will not fall too deep.
because I believe next year bitcoin prices will be more expensive.

I was also worried about this too.  I have been involved in crypto world just about 2 months and Ive never seen bitcoin dropped like this twice.  I even thought if it was too late in joining bitcoin becaause of it and I didnt know much about bitcoin volatility.  Well thanks to the assurance of the older members here,  I can sleep well tonight without worrying much about this.

dont get panic, dont sell your bitcoin just hold on it, if you remember the hard fork last august which the price is about to decrease 30-40%  of its value then after a week or 2 weeks the price increase and it almost close to 5000$, bitcoin have a volatile character which many people and investor like and attract to it, investment have a risk and it is just a part of it. Hold on pal it will recover soon, dont mind China about banning pf ICO and Shutting down Local Exchange as they government want to improve it and make it more safe.

We are all scared and worried about the collapse of bitcoins because of what might have happened before. But do not worry about that as a newbie as you say. So what you should do now is to wait and just relax first because bitcoins will not fall on the previous price in January. The truth is that it will be increasing especially now in the november moving where to activate the sec. And expect the bitcoins to reach more than $ 10,000 at the end of the year

If you are not ready to accept volatility, you should not have bought bitcoin in the first place.
You should see it as a long term investment.
If you can't accept losses, sell and invest in another asset.
If you believe in BTC, keep your holdings and buy some more if price continues to go down.

Okay  just relax dude in this situation we are all affected but dont give up.  Maybe you lose 10$ cuase you converted it to btc instead of dollar,? Thats why you  lose your 10$ when btc sunddenly fall deeply. Please correct me if im wrong. But Anyways dont panic cause this tragedy always happened even before nowadays all crypto community had a doubt  becuase of china. But keept our fingercrossed to stop btc from crashing. .and lets wait for the bitcoin increasing again and reach the predicted value.

All assets values have price variations. The price is given by the market (demand and offer) and the variation of the price follow some economic laws. I'm a 7 year trader, and I can say that when you have some market experience you can predict some variations of the price of an asset using the market indicators.

For example look at this chart   https://www.investing.com/currencies/btc-usd-chart   (enlarge it from top right)

Place on it the boliger band indicator and the stochastic RSI indicator (from the indicators). Then click 1D.
The boliger bands give you the extrema inteval of the variation. Can you see that on 2/9/2017 the price was maximum? This is because the price was over the upper bolinger band. Then it became to decrease. The economic law says that the average price (the mid red line) will tend to keep the price under it or above it. Now the price is under the average (red line). It will continue to decrease, until it will go UNDER the lower boliger band. Then it will start to increase. This will happen (in my opinion) in one month from now. The stochastic goes up and down, now is towards its minimum, in about 3-4 weeks it will go up (saying that the price is going to increase).

Now look at what happened to the bitcoin price between 11 June and 16 July. On 16 July the price was minimum and below the lower bolinger band. And it started to increase. The same will happen now. In markets, the history repeats with variations. Now the history between 11 June and 16 July repeats.  
 

Bitcoin is subject to the forces of demand and supply..and sentiments..so your value will always fluctuate . But in the medium to long term it will certainly go up.

Do not bother about your $10.You just need to keep patience.You investment can even drop more in value but if you have analysed the crypto aspects,you woupd not feel fretened on its volatilization.
This  generally happens in the crypto market and traders love the up down movement in this market because soon after some other countries would accept btc and you will see the situation growing rapidly.

Just hold on to those coins and don't be scared about the news or the price going down. Negative news regarding bitcoin market will affect bitcoin's price causing it to decrease but we just need to weather the storm on this one and bitcoin's price will surely increase again.

That is how it will be always.
You have to get used to it or you will always panic just like what is happening now.
Bitcoin price goes up and down but mostly it is rising. You will just have to hold it and let it be. You could wait and not look at the price for now because looking at will just stress you more.

You need to relax first, Bitcoin is risky every one knows this. See Bitcoin prices are being effected due to news from China and that's leading to massive panic sell. Once this news passes away and people start buying it, prices shall shoot up again. Unfortunately you can do nothing about the price drop, would advise you to keep calm and not look at the prices for the time being, if you don't need the funds keep them locked, sooner we shall see prices increasing and you will have your profits back, just be patient and don't do any risky sell.

I will not repeat, what experienced members here in thread already stated. But will give an advice: Before you invest into cryptocurrencies or anything else, make a good research.
Bitcoin is at nearly highest point it ever was. You can see the
price trend for now and past for example on coinmarketcap. So it could be, that BTC could pull back. I don't believe because it is still in uptrend with little downs. But to invest with poor knowledge and then panic was one of my specials and didn't help my profits.  

Wait for the moment and at the next fall, try to buy more, and then you will beat not only $ 10 but even more. The main thing is less panic than a cold mind.

No need to panic the prices of bitcoin remain volatile throughout the year, today it might be down because of China's ICO ban news tomorrow it might be up because of some good news about bitcoin coming from some other part of the world and don't forget we still have November ahead of us when it is expected to go down further so simply consider it to be a continuous process which keeps taking place throughout the year all we need is patience and not panic and make some wise decisions like buying at the dips and not indulge in panic selling.

pal if you cant accept the volatility of bitcoin you must not invest on it at the first place, in the market even in stock exchange everything happen in a minute or seconds, it can go down or up this is one of the characteristic of bitcoin, dont get panic on the announcement and ove of chinese government banning of ICO and Shutting down exchange, maybe they have plans about it for good. Bitcoin is going down right now and it is the good time to buy more soar more, it will increase soon. Our ecosystem are not going down, together with the population everything is going up so does the market, sometimes it need a little correction. so buy more bitcoin as it price go down and hold it till it reach 5000$ again and so on.

What kind of help you are looking for,did you invest in bitcoin and thinking what to do and if that is the case,my only suggestion would be to hold your coins for a longer time so that you could profit multiple times and buy more coins if you are capable of when the price slides down,if you are looking to learn about bitcoin just go through the newbie stuff and learn things.

Yes, before August one, everyone was afraid with lots of “bitcoin is gonna die” and “the end of Bitcoin” stories everywhere on the web, so it dropped even down to $2.5k+. But surprisingly around that August 1st, the price boosted, and we were hitting $3k, suddenly.it was $4k omg. So keep calm

Most people who have been around Bitcoin will tell you about its volatile nature.  They will also tell you to hold.  This is good advice.  You should do this.

When you feel more confident about the cyrptocurrency market you will not feel apprehensive about falling Bitcoin.  You will rejoice.  Rejoice because you will consider these dramatic decreases in price a discount.  You will save some fiat for this very moment and buy.  This confidence will come with experience.

I think it is really that exchanges are closing that made a big impact with the value of bitcoin.
There will be a sure selling spree with the users that owns coins there. What else will they do if ever that happened. If it is just a rumor, then someone should be punished doing this right?

I also losing a not so good amount of bitcoin but I am holding mine.  I will not do the same mistake again selling it.  I know that it will goes up again.  I believe in it so it will happen.  It is natural for bitcoin to goes up or goes down.  Its price is volatile.  Trust me it will goes up again.  This is all because the Chinese government prohibits bitcoin.

Probably you don't have a clue what is really going on around here.
Those coins you want to bad are basically money.
You want to earn money and then convert it to other form of money.

Claiming that you want to earn "coins" shows clearly why this FUD/paranoia is going around here.
Too many are around bitcoin just hoping for "free cash" and too many are treating bitcoin as an investment rather than seeing it as what was actually meant to be : "money".

We need some "authority" to impose somehow all future bitcoin owners a mandatory 8 hours course reading of what BTC really is.

Bitcoins are flactuating, Rising and falling I mean that it drops it will also drop the value of your bitcoins and if it increases it of course will also increase the value of your bitcoins. Similarly, the price of bitcoins has increased. And I'm sure I'm about 2x the price of $ 10. That's it and you have nothing to worry about. Because if there is a drop there is also a higher and higher than you expected
