Title: China is Laughing
Post by: CryptoBry on September 10, 2017, 03:30:41 PM
China is laughing all day for the past few days because the whole world is under its control and influence. The recent news and rumors of new are all testifying to the fact of how powerful can China be in almost aspects of global play...not just in cryptocurrency really.

Why it came to this sad state? Well, China knows how to plan and it has a long-range goals and one thing is for sure Bitcoin and cryptocurrency may not be included in that global domination vision.

Right now, China can show a tantrum and the whole world can shake. Can you feel now the power of China all over your body (hell, am even using a body wash Made in China!)?

here is a thought:
all these rumors, news and FUD are in English not in Chinese. in reality it is the English news sites that are making a false translation of the reality and spread it among us.
so who is to blame here really? those who are telling us "China banned bitcoin"? or the Chinese who are only regulating exchanges and banning scammy ICOs?
or perhaps those weak hands who never understood what bitcoin really is, (a decentralized peer to peer cash) and fear on the most irrelevant news?!

China has a major impact on crypto but there are other alternatives. Don't panic just hodl, everything is going to be fine long term. Actually china is stupid, they dumped their btc on to exchanges and they will regret it very very hard :). Someone wise said once, CHINA BANS SOMETHING? just buy it !!

China banned ICOs which is a good move. That however as you said does not mean that we should invest in ICOs. Most of them end up being scam so I don't really understand why do people cry about that. China is basically saving their own money for them.

I'll buy that. I'm an american and I realize how corrupt and backward
the mainstream media is, especially news that's on the internet.  I don't believe
2/3 of it, and I'm skeptical about the remaining 1/3rd.  So yeah, China is at least
shaking their collective head if not laughing outright.  It's sad that journalism
hasn't evolved from the yellow journalism started by Hearst back in the 1800s.

Why a government that controls everything will let the people use a coin that they could not control?

The main purpose of China is to Promote there own currency not World Currency , In every field
Such as whatsapp is popular all over world but its banned in China and they are using Wechat.
they have launched their own Crypto currency.
Small traders of China Export outside China but how much they import in china a big question

China is playing with us ... they Shown the power when bitcoin price fall down by 400$ in seconds

Why a government that controls everything will let the people use a coin that they could not control?

When The government plans this things then how they can control , its just politics

The news coming out of China is having a major influence in the crypto currency market is simply because of the panic involved with the investors as they are not sure what the future holds and those who worry would sell off their coins and that could in fact drive the market down and just wait for a few days and i am sure that the market will recover eventually, but for the moment they are influencing the market after a very long gap.

Interesting perspective!!

Having lived and doing business in China for over 10 years, this just looks like another long term strategy China is playing!

Banning ICOs is definitely a good move, because they have to control scammers or at least the ones the government does not approve of!

They probably know the price of BTC will dip because in general the mainlanders are easily panicked, taking the china stock collapse for example...

Now the Chinese government have probably been scooping up the cheap BTC on their own local exchanges and strengthen their control over BTC prices at least in their local exchanges then find ways to influence foreign exchanges using the BTCs they scooped up these couple of days...

Evil yet smart....

China has impact on everything because they have hands on almost anything you can think of. But it does not mean that they have control on everything. When bad news pops up it is natural that panic happens. Price falls but the support from outside China is intact. keeps the price back where it should be.

Exactly my thought. I'm not sure though if the media is even to blame for this one. The community itself was pretty fast to turn "China says ICOs are illegal securities" into "CHINA BANS BITCOIN!!111". The FUD was in our midst all along.

However, seeing how Chinese exchanges have heavily suppressed prices right now, there might be more to it than just a bad translation. Nonetheless it almost seems like the Chinese statements are intentionally vague to keep Chinese traders in check.

The markets don't think so. Look at the way the price has tanked. We are almost 20% down from the peak and the cause is nothing but Chinese rumours. If this is the effect of Chinese rumours, think what will happen if China actually takes action.

that's the fact there OP it sad to say that they are playing on us right now, especially for those panic seller as we can see the downfall is really fast
and support are almost weaken but we should also realize that if they made the shake for sure they will pumped it as well and many Chinese looking
for opportunity and they seen crypto is one of those many choices.

Didn't this last rumor with the potential ban of bitcoin start with one twitter announcement of a newspaper that even had no real source to quote?
Theoretically it could all be based on a trainee somewhere in that newspaper who set up that tweet because he wanted to invest his 50 dollars salary in cheap coins.

Well instead of counting its teeth while laughter, why don't we ignore China and its government!
Everyone here and there just talking about China ban. This is only creating unnecessary fear among small traders who dont know A B C of trading.
I am pretty sure China never going to put ban on their first love that is cryptocurrency. It is just an attempt either state-planned or someone faked just to make China in limelight.

I am not that sure how the supposed rumuor began though what I think is that this won’t last that long. China will look pretty weak when they start to see how many people purchasing coins from the other bitcoin exchanges and from the other people that are holding coins. There is little that they can do to stop it. As long as there is an active network for the project then the ICO will be a successful one.

If there is a chance that China shuts the Internet down then that is where people have a little bit more trouble.

That may be true though like I stated before, there is an opportunity to make some money from this. Since the coins are all falling in price, the people that were selling the coins on and off aren’t doing it any more. They prolly wanted to get their coins out as soon as they could because they knew their coins would be transferred over to the people that are in charge of the exchanges.
Bitcoin will go up in value because of this because the government will find that they can’t really do anything to make the people stop purchasing a digital product.

I am laughing too, but then at all the people taking everything for granted without thinking about the massive possibility of this being an attempt to halt Bitcoin's growth by people with deep pockets targeting discount levels.

It's not for nothing that the western market hasn't gone down as much as China ~ if China was as big as it has been previously, we would experience a massive blood bath due to the entire world selling like mad.

Japan and South Korea are generating more volume per country than China, and that while they are quite new in this market ~ China lost a major part of its importance, but clearly not enough for people to discard this fud news.

Title: Re: China is Laughing
Post by: GreatOrchid on September 10, 2017, 06:24:17 PM
Yeah i saw a lot of failed FUDs in the last days, but people is still believing them.. If one user in this forum says that bitcoin will drop to $2000 tomorrow, then maybe 1/5 people will dump his coins, and this is how the fud works in this forum... that is so sad, but it is real.
And as you said, China is not "spreading" fear only in cryptocurrencies, they are doing it global, and that is why their local currency is going up.

With China's population of over a billion it's not really a surprise. Their people live in a state of poverty and depression so the political entities in China might be laughing but in reality the country really isn't that great. They're too invested in finance and resources / government than their own peoples happiness..

China would really give an impact into everything knowing that they do really have the power or influence on anything since they do have the funds specially on this kind of field. The best way to counter manipulation is to do the opposite - if you hear FUD rumors, buy Bitcoin instead if selling. Not only you will be likely to profit, you may also deny any profits to the people behind the FUD, and also make them lose money, because they usually open short positions before launching FUD. Alternatively, you can turn from trader into hodler, thus decreasing Bitcoins volatility and lowering available supply on the market.

On balance I still find myself confused as to which media stories to believe about China and which ones to ignore.
It would take me days of research and reading around to try and work out which bits of information released by the media are true , which are misleading and which are just down right lies.
There was clearly money to be made off the back of the news from China though.

This price drop should only be temporary. Not all ICO's originate in China, although perhaps the majority do. How possible is it to use  vpn technology to overcome the ban? There is sometimes too much hype ,or fud as it seems to be called these days, with cryptocoins. I do not see China's action being the end of ICO's. I am still adding to my coins.

Yes it's a bad news by china, by the way i hope that what you said it become true be the end of this year. I believe that bitcoin price will increase again after this fall, It's too powerful now than rest stable in 4000$ level for a long time. China banning ICOs affected the bitcoin market too and hence the price dropped instantly on all exchanges. It does control a significant part of the bitcoin market which is why a single negative move can just ruin the market while the FUD that kept spreading about the news made it even worse. This is a huge drawback when it comes to bitcoins. Now they are claiming to shut down the local exchanges and don't know whether this news is right or not as it was just some kind of speculation made by the regulators.

Their influence isn't as big as you think. If you take a look at price charts we'll see that Bitcoin has lost only a couple hundred USD in value when the news from China reached the media. It was not more than 1/10 of its price! It means most people decided to sit and wait instead of rushing to the exchanges. You can't keep spreading fake news forever, people will finally learn to ignore it.

I know a lot of people who has only bought bitcoin and they don't care about it at all (real hodlers :) ). If there is a FUD, they don't read anything, so they won't react. And there are a lot of people who read news only once per day or on weekends because they are really busy in real life things, so FUD can have impact on people but not on all of them. Or, if somebody is on holiday, they won't care about FUDs, just when they're back from holiday...

Sad  To say but you are right they are making dominance in almost all aspect in the economy for each country. They can dectate a war by simply not exporting their products in your country and whats worse is that it is  a part of your daily needs. Yet it doesn't also mean that those countries are not capable of providing it is just that they decided to buy from china because of its low costs.

This "Only Temporary" is frequently look miss look as permanent, and it send the  bitcoin price to dive. FUDs is really well played by China and weak hands goes in panic. Also the temporary ban was on "ICOs" and not on bitcoin.

It could be true that China is manipulating the cryptomarkets but so what? There are many large states and corporations involved in manipulating financial markets, from forex (HSBC, BNP) to commodities (OPEC) to stocks. That unfortunately is the real world. It tis then up to the individual investor to choose whether or not to get involve, and understanding that while these markets could be manipulation, what opportunities could it offer? I'm sure many people are enjoying the dips as buying opportunities created by larger forces, and since we can't beat them, might as well join them in the game they have created.

Right now, China can show a tantrum and the whole world can shake. Can you feel now the power of China all over your body (hell, am even using a body wash Made in China!)?

in terms of geopolitics, this has already been true for decades, but increasingly so as economic power gradually shifts from the the west to the BRIC countries.

but as far as BTC goes, i think the opposite is occurring. china has dominated bitcoin mining for years, ever since the proliferation of ASIC technology. just recently, we have seen two major japanese companies (internet and entertainment conglomerates) launching major bitcoin mining efforts now that the currency is officially legalized and regulated. DMM said their operation will be live this year, and they expect to be a top 10 mining pool by next year. china's share of global volume has also dropped considerably this year. exchanges like bitflyer (japan) and bitfinex (international) overtook the major chinese exchanges.

so regarding china's influence, as far as decentralization of mining and trade volumes go, things are actually looking bright.

I say China is not doing anything. they are doing whatever they were doing before and will continue living normally and be involved with bitcoin.

those who are laughing are the FUDsters, those whales who bought at the bottom, JP Morgan, and lots of others who bought back in the dip. they are laughing at how easy it was to increase their profit simply with some FUD and use the gullibility and the fact that most weak hands don't understand bitcoin to their own advantage.

A single influential person has the power to influence the market. China is still a country. Bitcoin market isn't really big. User base is still small. Any negative news can have a huge impact. Not only China, any country who has some Bitcoin users can impact the price with such announcements. Sufferers are only panic sellers. Market can always recover in such situations. Such news have small term impact. China can laugh for a month only. After that we hodlers will laugh!

Anybody can actually laugh but what matters is who has the last laugh and in this case its bitcoin because going by the recent happenings, it seems that dark days are over and even the September 30th is here with us, and there is no crash which further points to the fact that the last laugh is here to stay at least to defat those who prefer to laugh first and hopefully it can be sustained even with the several adversaries coming against bitcoin.

They say when you go shopping in Australia you will not enjoy it because everything is (terribly?) made in china.  ;D Here in my place, almost everything is made in china. From little shabby toys to school supplies up to large dump trucks (that will also be dumped themselves after less than a year in use) are all over the market.

What's there to laugh. China contributes high to the bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency. China, not only in terms of digital growth but also with technology bitcoin makes a big impact. In the short or long profiting with bitcoin is assured, so surely more people from different countries will show interest into it in the future.

I actually feel it in different ways. Chinese people are everywhere and they are really good to be honest when it comes to handling money and investments. They can go to different countries and apply their strategies their making them rich in that country surpassing the locals. This is good in such a way as they are investors of the country but what is bad is that they are the one who is becoming rich and not actually the locals.

I'm not sure what China would be laughing at, unless you are talking about them banning BTC, but probably buying mass amounts when the price dropped. Ya that probably happened.

$4929, so after all the false news, FUD and panic Bitcoin has regrown to past glory.

Most of the people are selling alts and buying Bitcoin because of the coming forks, so the reason behind the price increase could be this as well. FUD and fake news will alway exist and as soon as bitcoin reach the mass adoption, prompt selling for bad news will be less common, and hopefully price will get less volatile as well. This won't be true during the coming fork period.

I can't come up with where I saw it, but I remember reading that 70% of the bitcoin users are located in the eastern of Asia (China and Japan). Is this true? If so, they've got bitcoin by the balls.

Nobody can deny that China is a powerful country. They are 1/5 of world population and they hold a big amount of big amount of bitcoin what gives them influence on bitcoin future.

Well Bitcoin does not just increase like that without reasons... big news like that has always had big effect on price.

I bet China government is shamefully realizing their action has no real effect on Bitcoin.  I even heard they will lift the "ban" soon. They already lost loads of customers (many might not use local exchanges due to the traumatizing experience they went through)  to quick thinking Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.  No country can stop Bitcoin!

The recent dips was simply due to people reacting to the Chinese ban news.

Of course China has a some power and control, and their news has large affects on bitcoins as large number of people in China has being using, holding or has being investing. They has large number of volumes of bitcoins so its clean why they have this impact on the crypto currency but that is only short live as bitcoins and others will easily recover from this and it has already has re recovered as bitcoins price is around $4800.But bitcoins can't die even if a country banning them, bitcoins will be alive as long as people believe and invest and use them.

China is laughing all day for the past few days because the whole world is under its control and influence.

Well most of the global manufacturers decided that they like the prices of the labor in China so this is the expected outcome. Basically (primary) western greed is the main reason why China is now second global economic power with the outcome that it shall become first soon.

China is no longer the world's most Bitcoin holder as their citizens dropped the most of it while their government buys the coin the dip.
But look where is btc now, we are now approaching to 5k up. We do not need China to make BTC up.

Most of the stuff we use is in one way or another sourced from there. I'd say they have the upper hand, and this extends far beyond what pertains to this community.

China did try to test the water of what will be the effect of something like allegedly banning or regulating bitcoins and other crypto related ICOs. We knows that many new players are panicking of what will be thew outcome if that news is true and the Chinese government would take effect that actions. As we see, a sudden drop of bitcoin value between 400 to 600 dip during the month of September and this is where the news starts spreading too. China holds the large amount of bitcoin as they habe the largest miners and the largest mining pool shares and the dominant ASIC mining hardware producers, they kmow how to manipulate to take control of the bitcoin price. The bottom line, it is still the Chinese whales who played that games.

Just looked at the label and you will see its "Made in China" or "Manufactured in China". They are a lot of sweat shops there and the government is doing nothing to prevent it because its been a good source of income. Corruption, bribery is still a thing in that country.

China is no longer the world's most Bitcoin holder as their citizens dropped the most of it while their government buys the coin the dip.

I don't know if the government of China did buy in dips. But what we can assumed is that more of the bag holders have either dump half of their assets already because of the Chinese exchanges closure, or moved  their funds somewhere it. Your guess is as good as mine. But we have already survived without them so there are irrelevant to the market scene. Many countries in Asia (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and even other small Southeast nation) have took the torch already.

In the end all the fuzz was for nothing? Someone made big dust and bought bitcoins for
cheap price. It is what you all about talking here, manipulation on high level. I think only
thing that is not clear who did it? Chinese government maybe?
I did not know that some news can have so big impact on bitcoin community, this is
is not a little thing, who ever did it knows how to do it. I am not afraid or anything, I
had faith in bitcoin, but I am a little worried that something like this can shake bitcoin
and drop the price $2000 in couple days. If they are capable for that, can they do
something more worst?

Of course cryptocurrency is in China's plans. This is why they have the biggest mines in the world and this is why they are preparing the field. It is normal to try and clean the ICO scams in their country, they are very business oriented and those ICO;s are just ripping people off of their money.
It was planned for 2030 for them to pass USA for number 1 economic global power, now i heard it will happen in 2026....if not sooner!

A joke goes that god created the world in seven days and the rest are made in china.  ;D If china can cause the world to shake, we can also shake china off our lives. Bitcoin can easily shake china off.

Exactly, I also believe it was a main purpose of china. not suprisingly that china currency was very cheap, I thought they intend to provide what other country need, because they have many resource, and after other country has been dependent to china, They could rise the cost at will. think about it, what couldn't they create with all their resource? Nothing. I believe you use 50% of yours facility was made in china. That's why, china will become a super power country, if they echieve its goal.

Cryptocurrencies will be alive with or without China.  China want to spread their ideolgy to all over the world why the govt control bitcoin and cryptocurencies because crypto is based on ideolgy of freedom. China the communist hegemony  doesn't like open market. Bitcoin is open market, everyone can participate and dificult to control the flow of  money. That economic model threatens Chinese Regime.

So still many people outside china will still support this. So step by step it will be normal.

A while back, James D'Angelo warned people about China having too much power over Bitcoin and people laughed it off. The

guy made sense and I supported some of the things he said. Now people are saying the same thing with centralization in the

mining sector and nobody is laughing. James, you might have rage quit ....but some of the stuff you said.. was spot on.  ::)

The Chinese mining pools definitely have too much power and I hope Bitcoin Gold with it's ASIC resistant technology will

change that soon.  ;)

Nothing that China could laugh, I do not see. Do Chinese people very much and they can influence the world by their number. China's economy has built the West and just as likely to ruin it. The greed of global corporations proc doesn't but if Western governments will force corporations to bring back their production from China to your country China is no laughing matter.
