Title: Mining Ethereum with GTX 960 4GB?
Post by: ilRena on September 10, 2017, 07:37:26 PM
I was thinking about ether mining with Claymore in nanopool.
Yes, I know 960 is an old card but I bought it in 2015 and I will not change it at the moment.

I tried to mine but I get about 2,750 Mh/s. I heard some people saying that with the same card they get about 10 Mh/s.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to install another driver? What's the best driver? How much will I earn daily in Ethereum? Do I have to overclock it?

Config.
CPU: AMD FX 8320 4,0Ghz
GPU: MSI GTX 960 4GB
RAM: 16GB 1866 Mhz
HDD: 2x WD Black 1TB and Seagate 150GB
SSD: Sasmung 250GB
O.S: Windows 10

I'm noob here so I need help. Thanks

Definitely not worth it IMO. At this point just use the GPU for what you originally bought it for :P

If you want to make it work try this https://steemit.com/mining/@fidasx/fixing-windows-10-ethereum-mining. It is definitely a windows issue i run triple systems just to check for my own sanity before I mod crap that dont need to be changed

If you have cheap power at about 0.07 cents per KWH
You get a grand total of loosing about 16 cents a day.

Maybe you can make it up in volume  :D
