possible stop exchange further worsen the market

now is almost time for Chinese monday morning i bet you there will be some news to clarify ,downplay the banned and whole

market will rebound sharply just my 2 cents

I'll hope that the theory is right, may I know what theory you are referring to?  Is it because Monday is the start of business trading week and investors will start to invest? Sorry for my lack of knowledge about any theory regarding the bitcoin market.

OK, I'll be watching for the rest of the night.  Your prediction is very specific,
which you don't usually see here on bitcointalk.  I too am hoping you're right, but I
don't subscribe to the tenets of technical analysis.  It's all a guessing game to me.

Nevertheless, China is a big player and they do have an effect on the price.

Not that I expect anyone to actually read this post, but what time do the markets
open up in China?

Bitcoin support at about $4000 is strong at the moment, so I foresee the price to be stable around $4000-$4200 until China provides some clarity into their regulatory plans for crypto. I also can see bitcoin breaking through $5,000 during the next month as well. Many new investors are getting interested in crypto, and bitcoin is the obvious first choice to get into the crypto game. Exciting times ahead for all bitcoin hodlers no matter the outcome.

The price seems fluctuating and importantly the variation has been found big as the price at present is trailing around $4200. This is a decrease in price as we went close to $5000 crossing $4900, and from the past week the price fall happens along with the entire digital currencies except very few digital currency increasing.

In any case, it wont go up that much in a single day. Maybe a couple hundred tops. Adding significant market cap, enough to even push the price up $100 takes a lot, A LOT of money.

Predict a recover after a sharp fall?

I do not get your theory about China down playing the news about China banning ico. In my view it is just we are  misunderstanding them. I do not know if it will recover, but I do hope, whatever the reason, it recovers soon.

the previous couple of days proved that the FUD effect on bitcoin price is diminishing by time. the drop was not even big enough to cause any concerns. and also it proved that the support at $4000 is very strong despite all the other FUDs about bitcoin being bubble and going down to $2000 and all that. the market proved that $4xxx is here to stay and now that accumulation of cheap coins from weak hands is nearly finished it is safe to assume a rise is on the way.

It's almost evident by now that all the FUDs are sidelined and there is only one way Bitcoin is heading, to the top! Even I am predicted a sharp rise in price after the previous week of FUDs disappearing and it could even reach an all time high again of over $5k which is going to be great news for all the holders.

I don't think there's a word in the language of the Chinese Government that means "clarity".

And agree on the rebound, there's never a dead cat bounce on these drops. There's always support on the sidelines just waiting for a sale to buy more.

I read the news that Bitcoins will rise again.
And I understand this is our last chance to buy cheap bitcoin. So there's a base for this thread. Even though the bitcoins are even worse, the king will. So keep buying bitcoins while we even buy each piece because it may not be repeated. For the whole news read here.

I'm sure bitcoin will be back up again sometime, but I was hoping it would fall a bit so I could acquire some for "cheap" again.

I think everything has settled down. And the trading mostly in Asia starts this day so I'm assuming that the price swing today would be very good. I'm speculating that the price could go to $4100-$42xxx. So its gonna be a good start for us. So I hope that you guys have already got some coins already otherwise its another miss opportunity for most of us. Specially those new investors who are really into bitcoin but can't get it because the price is too high, but in this dip this is the right time to enter. Let's observe and see how the price and remain optimistic that we are in the recovery, going for $5000 again because I'm seeing that it has started to move in the green zone again.

My altcoins are suffering a lot these days, but I'm not so sure that the rebound is going to be inmediate...
I think the situation will last a few days.

I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you and that's why a lot of Bitcoin holders aren't super scared when they see small drops (small being ~10%). They know that there's a group of people willing to buy because of the news surrounding Bitcoin. News affects the Bitcoin price by a lot, so when it drops people try to jump onto the train before it rebounds.

Hope they do so as China has a great stake on cryptocurrency. Banned the exchangers platforms may return bitcoin price below $4000. Since mornining I have been expecting to find the direction of the market with no avail. Hope the government agency will come out to clarified they position on this. I will keep my bitcoin even if the news is negative one.

It's not looking good. The market seems like it's in a state of denial. The TA is signaling an incoming correction and the suspicious collective of incoming Chinese FUD aren't helping either.

There are lots of big news that happen in bitcoin already in which some of them really pulls down the price. So this recent one will just passed and later on bitcoin price will gained it's momentum again.

What we must do is to take advantage of this rather than be worried more. Hug the dip since if the price will goes rampage again, surely others will say a hundred of times again that they hope they able to buy back when the price is ... or ... .

Most of the Bitcoin exchanges in China are still operating as normal, and they deny the rumours that Bitcoin is banned in China. The first thing that most of these exchanges might do, would be to shutdown operations < blaming technical difficulties > until the storm has passed. < to prevent panic and massive dumps >

We have not seen any of this happening so far, so it seems to be rumours and FUD being spread by paid shills. Show me one official statement that were made to confirm a Chinese ban on Bitcoin. < not on ICO's >

I also agree with the fact that Bitcoin price will bounce back.  Asian trading starts today, let us see how it all turns out.

This FUD or fake news that has impacted has in the last couple of days had already subsided but this is just another obstacles that bitcoin will and shall pass again. It already faced problems before but it already proves that it can withstand everything that's thrown his way.

And for those individual who are thinking of getting into the market, well this is their time to shine. Buy in this dip because once bitcoin has recovered and rebounded from this scare, we will see the price go strong as the last time. So we need to take advantage of the current situation and get it now.

I think everyone is enjoying the FUD way too much for now that they don't want it to stop. the swings are good for profiting and the that is every day trader's dream. it has nothing to do with China, if it weren't China banning bitcoin then it was Japan banning bitcoin or Russia, or another foreign country! or it could be a lot of other things like ETF rejected.... sometimes they are way too ridiculous and irrelevant even.

in any case they last longer than just a couple of days until the confidence returns and everyone accumulates enough coins to be ready for the rally.
but the little correction happens though. so far it keeps testing $4000 and bounds back to around $4200 again.

To be honest, i think that the news we have been presented with is most likely untrue. I mean, why announce the ICO ban first and then announce a bitcoin exchange ban soon after? Why not just bundle the policies together?

As soon as people realize that the news is not confirmed, exchanges are still working, and FUD quietens down, BTC should go on a nice bull wave that puts it above $5000. If the news turned out to be true though then we can definitely expect a dip below $3500.

As long as the Chinese news is confirmed to be false then i think we could see $6000+ levels. Even if there is no response from the Chinese government, but the FUD dies out then we could still see $5500+ levels.

Anyways i don't think that this is real news. Exchanges haven't received anything from the government that indicates that in the future anything is going to be different. That's the first sign of market manipulation by press.

The rebound was already in place, until Bloomberg released another article, and the price plumetted again. I would expect tomorrow price be up to at least $4400 once again.
