Title: I think PROXY might change the way we use Ethereum
Post by: pikatju on September 11, 2017, 02:18:34 AM
I was reading the PROXY Access plan here: https://blog.proxycard.io/proxy-cards-access-plan-how-we-are-going-to-bring-ethereum-to-everyone-6258ec41b1c3, and I am thinking that they might actually be able to change the way we use Ethereum. They are not only creating a card for spending Ethereum but a whole platform to store and manage transactions. If they can really create the easy access from both consumer and merchant, we might see a near future use of Ethereum payment in every neighborhood :)
Of course, this is going to take a bit of time, but if they get enough traction I think it can actually work out. Just see how Monaco went, and that is just a basic on the fly Ethereum to fiat conversion card. Especially, if this will allow US. citizens to join in on the fun.
Their team seems to be pretty good. A good mix of young blood to drive the ideas and experienced members to support in tough decisions. I do think, they will need more people on board in order for them to take on such a big project, but they might still be hiring. So if you think, you can contribute you should give them a call.

I have just reserved a card on http://www.proxycard.io/
What do you think? Is it worth investing when they go ICO in October?

Very good sign for cryptomarket. But there are already too many projects like this. And most of them have troubles not with attracting people, but with law. Most of governments don't like cryptos, that's why they are slowing down crypto spreading.

Yes I think the government must be supportive. But if the projects can generate industry adoption, perhaps it will be easier to obtain goodwill with the regulatory authorities.

Yeah I would agree that their project is really good and would be great if they achieve success since it would also means wider adaption of people to cryptocurrency and may lead to acceptance of other coins as well in common transaction.
