TensorBit - A new proof of work which solves machine learning solutions.

The ICO starts September.

Who are we?

A small group of highly educated and experienced machine learning, mathematics, and computer science enthusiasts developing solutions to power the new blockchain.  We believe our solution will be key to the data analysis industry which many businesses are adopting and will only continue to grow in the future.  Deep learning, computer vision, analytics, and artificial intelligence are the areas that will benefit from the immense processing power currently securing blockchains.

Why use TENB?

Our ethereum based token will be the payment to use the machine learning compute network.  Miners will be paid in TENB and businesses will need to purchase TENB in order to submit programs for the miners to solve.

Please let me know if you guys need some marketing help or ICO strategy - this thread looks like it can use quite a bit of work itself. Will look at the rest of your assets.

I have been thinking about TPU's for the past few weeks, then this project comes along. Consider me interested and early.

these are the guys who tried to shill "Elon Musk" was investing, but of course couldnt get him to even RECONIZE them, so i see in the OP they left that lie out :D

Yes, this is how I've ended up here on the Tensorbit thread, because of having read somewhere about the Elon Musk bullshitting. Well, this I guess is perhaps putting an and to this discussion...

I was just wondering about TensorBit...I see a few comments dismissing it as a scam but you list very specific things. What are the Elon Musk lie/15 "nothing" ICOs things in reference to exactly?

I haven't read the whitepaper, but the idea makes sense and distributed machine learning seems like the next best thing.

Well, I can't make up my mind whether this is legit or not. I checked the Linkedin profiles of Sven Visser and Luuk Jansen and they look real. There is no link to Noah Smith (one of the founders) but I searched and found out his twitter profile: https://twitter.com/nlpnoah

First post by a newbie does not help in adding any more credits to this already troubled campaign. This post screams more warning than assurances. Tread carefully guys. Nowadays everyone talks about Machine Learning, very few actually use it well.

I'd stay far away from this one until they demonstrate proof-of-concept code that they can actually do what they promise.  The whitepaper is full of technobabble that says, using a lot of words, very little that makes one think they have actual insight into how to solve the hard problems in this area.

It's not clear that one can turn these kinds of problems into a proof-of-work with the right properties;
it's not clear that widely distributed training (particularly using the kinds of rigs miners use) will be effective;
and i wouldn't put my dollars on it vs. cluster solutions with high-performance interconnects of the type we're seeing used by NVidia (DGX-1), Google (TPU clusters), Uber (GPUs with a local, very low-latency/high speed Infiniband interconnect), and others.

Even if it's not a scam, which I suspect it is, it's very unlikely to actually work.  And those faked-up graphs are just awful.
