Title: mining on slightly older mac
Post by: curiousone on June 23, 2011, 11:48:01 PM
I have a slightly older but quite powerful mac, tiger.  what mining software should I use on it? just gonna leave it idle, doesn't matter if I have to use CPU, more the merrier.  Thanks

No GPU mining on that, so it would just be your cpu, which might earn you .001 a day for twice that in electricity, and many pools would kick you for low efficiency. You could make more money mining aluminum cans living in a van down by the river.

Bump is a new reply made by the original poster so the thread is bumped back up to the top of the list of discussions. It means "look at me!". I think he's got his answer now.

It's too ooooold. GPU can't mine and about the CPU well... it's a loss of time...

but you can still try, for fun of course, to make some bitcoin cents
