Launching beta in early June, we started as crypto traders on BTC-e and wanted to make a US-based exchange that was easy to deposit and withdraw USD as well as trade multiple crypto-currencies. Which states are you registered in? What did it cost to become a money transmitter in California?

But we're definitely doing all of our homework to make sure we don't pull a Gox/Dwolla.

And thanks for that link on regulation, will read through. There are certainly some hurdles, but it's not impossible. This is such a new area for the government, they're trying to learn and catch up as quickly as they can. But government and law is always way behind new and disruptive technologies, it's just the way it goes.
