If bts means btc, then I'll go for btc. Btc is still the best for me. It is the most popular name for crypto currency yet many prefer other names but i still do prefer btc. Today, it seems to be the most profitable cryptocurrency. Even it is risky, in just right decision and action, you can be able to have a stable or even more comfortable life through that.

OMG, LTC - I prefer not to deversify my portfolio too much. So these two are my main, love them. Also Monero, SiaCoin and few minors which I'll keep to myself :).

the best currecies to hold ?
absolutely XRP,if you can hold it for more than a years i am absolutely sure you will double your money or even more than that.
they have a steady improvement and a lot of companies implemented their system in their company.
i believe in the coming year we should see another big movement caused by them

Monero(XMR) and Pillar(PLR). Monero because it is PoS&PoW combination like Eth while it's current price now is low and great chance to boom someday once many miners adapt it. I'm mining it too since last month and already have profit. Pillar, once their target product was released and completed I can say that the price will be boom more than x10 of it's current value now, Devs has a very big vision for the project but expect that it will take years to complete.

For me these are bitcoin, waves, omisego, ark and lisk. I am sure about these coins will see significant raise in their prices and massive adoption. And maybe litecoin too.

First bitcoin as a store value and zcash, monero and digibyte. Bitcoin is definetely the best currency to hold by far. Zcash, monero and digibyte are very cool coins as well but I don't like coins like ardor or komodo much.

My list is much shorter, and most of my favorites is among those you mentioned (eth, lsk, sys, xmr, burst, sc)
Now i also look for interesting ICO projects. Some tokens in 1-2 years also can bring nice profit.

You pretty much covered all the reliable options, I am holding NEM, Ripple and DGB from this list. I don't actually have the time or funds to manage so many in portfolio at the moment, but maybe I'll add a couple more.
Lisk, Monero and Decred are other my favorites from past trades.

The coins you have listed are all very profitable coins and among them, I hold lsk, kmd, ark, eth, xmr, ltc, burst, and xem. Other additions on my stash are waves, opt, ett and many more which I think also had a potential to grow. I also invested on some ongoing ICO's now particularly this one I am wearing in my signature, it has a good concept IMO. I believe this project would be a success and would give of nice profits for me in the long run.

I think monetha is also very good if you want to hold to the end of the year. Why do i choose monetha? Because its developers are very active and continue to provide the latest developments about the progress of monetha.

XRP
Electroneum (ICO)

My portfolio objective will be:

BTC
ETH
XRP
Electroneum
Waves
Verge
Ark

Think it's not bad at all.

Bitcoin: do i even have to explain why :D
Litecoin: the brother to bitcoin, it also has been very active this year, with SegWit + Lightning Network + Atomic Swap + Charlie Lee on top of it, this coin is a viable holding material
Monero: the solid anon coin

your list is a long list of altcoins most of which are horrible long term investments despite being very good options for trading. and even if you don't agree with it you must agree that you are holding a lot of them. you are not really reducing the risk by increasing the number of coins in your so called "portfolio". just reduce the number of different coins.

My favorite long term holds (not in order) are:

WAVES
OMG
FLO
MUSIC
ONIONS

Also, working on a few more to add to that list. Namely ARK and Nexus at the moment.

I totally agree with what you say about Pillar !!
The project is very promising but will need a little time before its price increases.

I'll prefer Eth and BTC.
But i think Btc is too risky because it has a Huge up and down price.
Eth has a slightly Stable price atm.
i don't know the status of Eth atm. but i can see
Eth is still moving 280-300$ then 300- 280$
i call that stable price.
you can earn profit because Eth has a potential to reach
500$ at year 2018

I prefer BTC and ETH. Because these currencies are bright future and well developing continuously. But we should hold some additional currencies also like, LTC, XMR, ZEC, XRP, MZC, TIT. These currencies are develope in partially.

Double your money in crypto?  ;D
You can do way more than that and certainly not with Ripple! Ripple is the hands of far too many banks right now and I don't like that. XRP is a useless coin to serve their internal and external trades. Ripple at the beginning was a really nice project. Not anymore.

Personally I think the best investment for long term is Bitcoin.
I suspect that most altcoins will die in a couple of years.
At the moment there are to many coins/tokens on the market that basically do the same.
Some altcoins will definitely survive like Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Dash but I think Bitcoin will grow more over years.

You are right, but we need to believe in the growth of altcoin, I think the big 5 coins in the list of coinmarketcap will survive including BCH, I see the potential of coins that will survive is not found on public business coins, but coins that focus on exchange currency and smart contracts online . Real business-based coins can not yet speculate in the long run.

I'm holding a few, BTC, ETH, mostly the bigger, more popular ones.  In all fairness, they all have a shot of making it I guess, but, I have a soft heart for the old g himself, Bitcoin.

This is a much preferable list for me. Although when it comes to bulk buying, I will instead buy in bulk Siacoin, Verge, BAT, SNT, Dent, and several other trusted coins that are very cheap right now. Will closely monitor the movements of these projects. Announcements will always bring in pumps so riding these are profitable.

For me the best currency to hold for long term would still be Bitcoin, although there are altcoins that are also progressing the same as Bitcoin but they will never be like the original cryptocurrency. And I'd be a hypocrite not to admit I am holding on to some altcoins but by far Bitcoin is my priority among the rest.

I'm going long term Waves and ETH.
For giggles, I'm also saying IOTA.  That's more like crossing my fingers behind my back though.

the only one worth holding is bitcoin the other is just crap.
bitcoin rule this market
if you're looking for quick gain just go for altcoin
but easy come easy go
if you're looking for long term investment bitcoin is way to go

QRL, and Ardor both seem like good long term bets right now. QRL is pretty undervalued considering that it is probably the only coin that uses conventional blockchain technology and counters quantum computing.

When quantum computing goes mainstream, QRL can definitely make a difference.

the only one worth holding is bitcoin the other is just crap.

I know what you mean but not all of those alt coins are just crap, there are some promising one and try to look at ETH and Monero they've been in the market for years and still kicking. The bad thing about ethereum is it's ERC20 it is generating crap but the whole thing directly ETH it's not that a crap at all.

bitcoin rule this market

Yes it is.

if you're looking for quick gain just go for altcoin

So what alt coin you want to suggest, I haven't read you suggested one.

but easy come easy go

You should stay away from these type of coins.

if you're looking for long term investment bitcoin is way to go

Better not to put your eggs in one basket but bitcoin is worth for it but for my choice I'll diversify my money for other coins.

I am holding etc, waves, lisk, ark, decent which is having pretty cheap value as of right now. And now the bitcoin market is also increasing and most alts are going low so its still time to buy and hold some of these coins. From the above coins, I like to focus more on waves and lisk then the others.
