Changing server to (UTC) Coordinated Universal Time. Restarting pools. Mining should only be interrupted for a few milliseconds. You should not notice any anything 8)

Great DGC pool.

Couple of questions!

Just to make sure, the main DGC thread lists your server location in Irvine, CA correct?
Does the distance from the server affect anything at all?
Finally, how many confirmations after a block is found?

Yes, the server is located at the Savvis datacenter in Irvine, CA. It is one of the best datacenters I have seen. Unlike a lot of other pools this one does not share resources in a hosted environment. It has it's own dedicated equipment.

Quote from: saber
Does the distance from the server affect anything at all?
For your question related to distance of your miner to the P2Pool please reference this link and look under section "What matters for good P2Pool results: low latencies":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153232.0;all

This web site lists latencies of various BTC and LTC P2Pools:
http://p2pool.hostv.pl/

Notice the ping and GWTL columns. This will give you an idea of some of the better performing P2Pools. Please take note that performance is based off the location of the web site and not your miner so only use it as a general guide. You will have to test latency to the pool from your miner.

Quote from: saber
Finally, how many confirmations after a block is found?
The minute a block is found your portion is immediately deposited into your wallet. All the confirmation happen in your own Wallet. The number of confirmations depends on the crytocoin.

Please feel free to ask any more question and I will do my best to answer them.

Hi,

I am mining on the DGC P2Pool for nearly 24hrs.

Can you explain how address D99erPFYxti2gcT7xTQNgTRrdUtguh7Qka is receiving 8 coins per block mining at 1.1MH/s and I am receiving only 4 coins per block mining at 1.4MH/s?
My address is DTB4cvmoX2ahqhJJou59pSiEw3aA7D2SM7

Many Thanks.

Hi Shallowgas,

The pool uses a PPLNS reward system. Simply put it pays based on the number of shares you submit over a period of time.

To illustrate this take the example of D99erPFYxti2gcT7xTQNgTRrdUtguh7Qka. They started mining on the pool a couple days before you joined. His portion of submitted shares is much greater because of this. Over time your portion of submitted shares will outnumber his (due to your higher hash rate) and your payout will increase accordingly.

Here is a charts showing your payout increasing as your portion of submitted shares increase:

https://i.imgur.com/FPIrwoJ.png

Another miner with 1.5 Mh/s started shortly after you did so they are also increasing their number of submitted shares along with you but at a slightly higher rate due to his higher level of submitted shares:

https://i.imgur.com/k7GUXHS.png

The effect of both of you starting to submit shares is decreasing the % of shares D99erPFYxti2gcT7xTQNgTRrdUtguh7Qka is providing. The reason his payout is still higher than yours is because of the two days of work he has submitted before you came on board:

https://i.imgur.com/ZpXZt3o.png

You will notice that if you completely stop mining the pool you will continue to get payouts for a couple of days because of the submitted shares you are currently contributing.

Look at DTWPTRSi9HoLh69NPd2fbDWUGHrx1nLdmk for an example of this. He has not been mining for a little while but will continue to get (decreasing) payouts because of the work submitted while he was on the pool.

I hope this illustrates how the payout system works. If you like I can provide links to much more in-depth explanations.

Speaking of the DGC pool from the above post, I have a question on one of the blocks found.

Here is a block that we found:

This looks just like the one above showing the same miner found the block.  But look what we find when we look at the dgc payouts:
http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/d1c557e8c942f8e5f68e05003d0ed1e0047d664f2db3906188df0b122e2c0843
None of those are DGC wallet addresses and none of these addresses are on the server mining atm.

This has happened more than once since I have been on this server.

To go along with my post above, here are some more things that do not look right, so maybe I am missing something to all of this.

These blocks also show different miner addresses:
http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/12489436d5f7ef0483789907cb0b5fd6e96c3c3b340fc2dcc9da00dce2f83fda

http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/d833de70550f8c72e6d4c664a5a475624e3b363b5b9c109f994d7672eabcba98

http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/fa57427f0ee1f4a26ed4ab142b7259f3e9cea78a917e3da2f7676f24026b78a1

So all of these show non-dgc wallet addresses.  Now, if you follow the "transaction" link, you see all of the current miner dgc wallet addresses.  For example, lets follow the transaction link (http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/tx/2538acb1928e301486d707856be4073bb4e5a27038e20d209d53531af2b8f171) to block fa57...24026b78a1 (the last link above).

I dont understand what the 1???????????????????? addresses are?

On the transaction page, why do some show redeemed and some dont?

What does "redeemed" mean?

If I find the answers elsewhere, I will come back and post what I find out.

Thank you for such a detailed post AbiTxGroup.

This had me scratching my head for a bit but think I tracked it down to a block explorer issue.

If you take the example blocks:

http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/d1c557e8c942f8e5f68e05003d0ed1e0047d664f2db3906188df0b122e2c0843

http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/d833de70550f8c72e6d4c664a5a475624e3b363b5b9c109f994d7672eabcba98
http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/fa57427f0ee1f4a26ed4ab142b7259f3e9cea78a917e3da2f7676f24026b78a1

...and use an alternate block explorer you get Block Not Found except for the last one:

http://dgc.p2pool.nl/block/d1c557e8c942f8e5f68e05003d0ed1e0047d664f2db3906188df0b122e2c0843
http://dgc.p2pool.nl/block/12489436d5f7ef0483789907cb0b5fd6e96c3c3b340fc2dcc9da00dce2f83fda
http://dgc.p2pool.nl/block/d833de70550f8c72e6d4c664a5a475624e3b363b5b9c109f994d7672eabcba98
http://dgc.p2pool.nl/block/fa57427f0ee1f4a26ed4ab142b7259f3e9cea78a917e3da2f7676f24026b78a1

I originally used dgc.p2pool.nl but they went offline for a bit. Will switch back since they seem to be doing a better job. The "1" addresses look like BTC to me and can only guess that the block explorer is somehow pulling the wrong info.

Please let me know if you get different results or find any additional information.

Further evidence of this being a block explorer issue can be seen by doing a search of the block ID on both explorers:

http://dgc.p2pool.nl/search?q=176877
http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/search?q=176877

If you click on the block ID you get the correct payout addresses. Clicking on the hash will give you the incorrect "1" addresses.

I appreciate that you looked into this CartmanSPC.

I'm new using the block explorers and the info was confusing with what I found.  Thats why I made the original post and then followed up with the other links.

After making those posts, I left soon after to go ride my mountain bike at the lake nearby.  Ended up getting to rowdy while riding and tweaked a nerve in my neck/shoulder.  Dang thing hurts bad enough that just moving a little bit causes muscles to spasm so typing or using a mouse is painful.  Because of this, I have not put any time in researching this.  I will, but it may take a day or two.  Time for more aspirin and more beer, then back to bed.

BTW, I like this server.  It took a good 40 hours to get to full share payouts, but as I have seen with other miners, the payouts will continue long after I stop mining.

Thanks! The graphs show you were on for around 15 hours? I've seen people reach full payout levels in around 12 hours but still state to allow 24 since it is dependent on the number of shares others have submitted.

What is the benefit of inputting the share difficulty in cgminer?

It allows you to obtain a consistent and appropriate share difficulty for your hash rate. When higher hash rate miners come on the pool the share difficulty is dynamically updated to accommodate. The resulting higher share difficulty may be to large for your specific hash rate leading to dead shares.

On my miner with 1.44 Mh/s I was getting a share difficulty of around 80 without manually adding the share difficulty. When a miner with 36 Mh/s came on the pool it caused my miners share difficulty to jump all the way to 700. I added +0.0016704 to keep me at a solid 109.

Found out a little more on this. Clicking on the hash address gives you the result of an orphan block for 176877. One block explorer shows the orphan block (notice that there is no next block entry, only previous block) and the other does not.

The "1" addresses are actually DGC addresses but displayed incorrectly (don't know why).

For example this address: 1PNHvAW4qsu4A5xmf3373TLsPA8ejAmfKp
Is actually this one: DTWPTRSi9HoLh69NPd2fbDWUGHrx1nLdmk

You can confirm by looking at the block explorer for both and seeing that they are identical:
http://dgc.webboise.com/address/1PNHvAW4qsu4A5xmf3373TLsPA8ejAmfKp
http://dgc.webboise.com/address/DTWPTRSi9HoLh69NPd2fbDWUGHrx1nLdmk

(snipped the pic)
The good/bad thing about being in Abilene with a mountain bike is that it is really flat here, so the injury would have been a lot worse on a steep mountain side.  Injury is healing fine, it just takes longer since I went past the 50 year mark.

About the server, the graph you show is not of my miner.  I have been running a steady 2MH/s for a week now.  In fact, we need some more miners here as I have found the last six blocks so I am losing coins compared to solo-mining.

Sorry man.....I gave up.  I was solo mining for so long and the blocks were slow to find.

There just seems to be to much hash in a select few pools for DGC which I do no understand.  For miners with 2MH/s or less, they should try and find a pool that has less the 40MH/s total, otherwise they just lose out on coins.

I read up on the altcoins that have came out since I have been only mining DGC since it started, and I decided to give FST a try for a day or two.

For the above mentioned 50 DGC, could you donate it for me to the DGC development fund?

Thanks for providing the server. Sorry I could not be more help to keep it running.

Hey CartmanSPC,

I kept a window open to watch the server and I put one of my miners on just to keep a presence there. That attracted a couple other miners so I moved my other machine on to the server and now we have about 6MH's running.  I'll be there as long as we can keep the hash up.

Increasing the memory on the wallet server to accommodate another coin. Your miners will submit DOAs while the server restarts. Should only last for about a minutes.

Edit:
Maintenance done.

We will be updating to P2Pool release 13.1 in the next few days. Most likely Sunday evening.

Changes:
* Hardfork at 95% upgraded:
** Bitcoin share period increased from 10 to 30 seconds to cater to ASIC miners. Avalon/BFL/ASICMINER devices should start working well after this.
** Litecoin share period increased from 10 to 15 seconds
** Litecoin payouts spread over 3 block-lengths instead of 12, reducing dust payouts
** Transaction pre-forwarding greatly simplified, allowing future network traffic reductions
** Maximum share difficulty multiplier increased from 10x to 30x to give more freedom to below share difficulty adjustments
** OP_RETURN used in last txout to prevent UTXO database spam
** Stratum nonce length increased from 4 to 8 bytes, allowing for future Avalon support without having to use the "avalon" branch

* Automatically increase share difficulty to prevent payouts below "dust threshold", 0.001 BTC and 0.03 LTC
* Automatically increase share difficulty to prevent any single node from making more than 5% of shares, by default
* Worker username parameters (+PSEUDOSHARE_DIFF/SHARE_DIFF) not longer have to be in a specific order
* Support for submitblock RPC call in new Litecoin versions
* Fixed incompatibility with ASICMINER BE Blade
* Updated bootstrap address list

Whats with the server payout resets?

Once today and once yesterday the server was reset and all of the PPLNS time was reset if you were still not on the server.

EDIT NOTE 1231am CST:

OK.  It looks like the build up for the PPLNS payout after the server restart is quick to build up.  Never seen that before or at least noticed that before.

AbiTxGroup,

As you have seen we have reduced the PPLNS window from 24 hours to 3 hours for Digitalcoin, Worldcoin, and Craftcoin.

It was a highly requested change so I hope it is liked by everyone!

That does explain the ramp up happening so quickly.  I like it.
I know that you posted about updating the server, so I wanted to post what I see while being on it.  Right around 02:05am CST, the server cut out again.  Not sure if this is caused from the new server files or if something else is going on but its info that you can use to investigate what is happening.

Hi minerapia,

You were not able to get any shares with your hash rate of around 40 Kh/s. For anything under 100 Kh/s you run the chance of not getting any shares and subsequently a payout. I have sent you 10 CSC for your effort.

thought there was something broken in the pool, cos usually I end up getting something. Didn't realize that my hashrate was so low compared to the pools hashrate.

What is this Dead hash rate?

Miner   Hash Rate   Dead Hash Rate
   1.32MH/s   132kH/s

Title: Re: [ANN][BTC][LTC][DGC][WDC][CRC][CSC][P2Pool] xPool.net
Post by: CartmanSPC on August 13, 2013, 05:37:13 PM
Dead Hash Rate is the amount of shares you are submitting that were stale or DOA. You will want that to be as low as possible. Your rate looks ok. Things that affect your dead hash rate are latency to the pool and miner settings or problems. Some have commented that lowering their intensity reduced their Stale/DOA rate.

Displaying that statistic is common for p2pools as it helps you determine if you are mining efficiently. I don't think I have seen it on other types of pools.

Edit:
DEAD ON ARRIVAL - Dead shares were too old by the time they arrived at the pool. Very high dead rates can indicate miner misconfiguration.

Q: "Do the 'orphan' and 'dead' shares in P2Pool's status display hurt me?"
A: They shouldn't - It's normal for some fraction of everyone's shares to end up orphaned or dead. Because payouts are calculated by counting how many shares you have relative to others, everyone with normal configurations is equally "hurt" by this. However, if you have a large proportion of stales, your payout will be hurt.

More can be read at: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool
Please take note that a lot of what is mentioned is specific to the larger Bitcoin p2pool but the same concepts apply to altcoins...just at a much smaller scale.

If the minimum difficulty for a share is 1, then if I find a share reported by cgminer as difficulty 1*65536 (64k) I should have earned a share, correct?  If so, why aren't I showing on the payout list for the p2pool node I'm using?  Is it averaged across multile blocks?

Q: Why does my miner say it has found a lot of shares but p2pool say I have only found a few?!
A: The real P2Pool difficulty is hundreds of times higher than on normal pools, but p2pool essentially lies to your miner and tells it to work on relatively easy shares so that it submits shares every few seconds instead of every few hours. P2Pool then ignores any submitted shares that don't match the real share difficulty. By doing this, P2Pool can more accurately report your local hash rate and you can see if you are having problems with too many stale shares quickly

Thank you for the response, but I have read the FAQ.  I know that my "accepted" shares do not reflect my payout.  My question is: if the share difficulty as reported on the LTC pool stats page is 1.0, then if I have an accepted share over 64k, I should have earned a share, correct?  For example, in the last 24 hours, I've had these 3 shares accepted:
Code:
101 [2013-08-14 00:54:44] Accepted a6bc7db5 Diff 101K/75 GPU 0 pool 0
112 [2013-08-14 05:12:06] Accepted 95b8993c Diff 112K/75 GPU 0 pool 0
352 [2013-08-13 21:49:33] Accepted 2faa66d2 Diff 352K/75 GPU 0 pool 0
These are all over 64k, but I have no payout.  What am I missing?  My address is LVVSSVqm64vn5YFfhAQGT35u7nwpdxJyfX.

I do not think that first number in cgminer reflects that it is an actual accepted share. Checking the documentation for cgminer it says:

Quote
The 2 diff values are the actual difficulty target that share reached
followed by the difficulty target the pool is currently asking for.

With ~200 Kh/s it may take a while to have an accepted share on an LTC p2pool. This will only get worse when the LTC p2pool switches to a minimum payout threashold (very soon). They did this to minimize the quantity of "dust" payments but it also increases the variance of payouts for smaller miners. They say it should even out over time but I would recommend a PPS LTC pool for anyone under 300 Kh/s.

Yea, I noticed right after I made the "I give up" post.   Funny thing is: it's almost exactly the amout of time I had to wait last time -- about 24 hours -- before I started getting shares.  And looking at the payout list, I'd say I'm only one SD from the mean, so I'm not sure why that would be considered "dust."

To get the answers to all these minor detail implementation questions, I can look at the p2pool source right?  And isn't there a hard-fork coming up or has that already happened?

Yes. Also look at the official support thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313
Live support can be had on freenode #p2pool

The litecoin p2pool is 85% to the fork. It will fork once the network reaches 95%. We are running the latest version of p2pool and the client. The pool is also very well connected and is listed in the bootstrap address of the source.

That address is coming from a connected node in the WDC p2pool. Currently there are 5 nodes combing their local hash rates to make up the p2pool rate of almost 3 Mh/s.

http://wdc.xpool.net:8820/ is contributing about 600 Kh/s to that 3 Mh/s. It's working as it should. :)

Then 10 minutes later we find another and 90% of the reward is AWOL.

Block 512437 WTF !!! --> http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/19db357e0c8978dd789f588f09cd63ce8713a1bbbe389b135d99576ec7d22133

I am DSF3RQtbPzqX2TukNKinNVHkZBEHTiLyTV. Please return our missing DGC.

Update..

The block explorer your site uses doesn't work.

Cryptocoinexplorer does and the timestamps do not match. Plz explain this aswell.

Update II

90% of the reward is missing again with the newest block, 513163.

Hi Hippie Tech,

The smaller block reward is a design of DGC. From what I have been told it is used to secure the block chain. For more information please ping Baritus (the developer of DGC).

Think of them as a "bonus" for securing the block chain since I recall Baritus saying they are not actual "found" blocks. Again, he would have to clarify the meaning as I have not looked into the source code of DGC to see what it's doing in this regard.

Hippie Tech,

Baritus wants to keep it on the "down low" for what I imagine are security reasons.

Just relaying what I've been told. I think my reputation speaks for itself. Have been around enough for people to know that I'm legit and honestly there is not enough money to be made by trying to scam a few DGC from people. Keeping things in perspective we are talking about a couple of cents here. Not worth the time or effort. I am an adult with a sizable income and real world responsibilities that keep me from spending much more time on this "hobby".

I run these pools as a service to others and although I have considered shutting them down (because of the effort involved) I keep them going because for some reason I feel that it is important to have stable and reliable pools available. I will admit that initially it was fun discovering how to operate and code the software but I have moved on to other interests in life.

This includes most things in the crypto world for me. I still mine and operate the pools but after the initial challenge of learning about how everything works there is not much more for me to participate in or keep my interest going.

Fortunately I discovered the crypto world at a time in my life where I needed the distraction but that time has past.

The lower block rewards - usually 2.0 DGC in value - are a security feature of DigitalCoin. They are the main reason DGC has never been forked, as any attempt at creating a new fork will not contain the proper 2.0 blocks, thus invalidating that fork. They can only be found by p2pools and have been there since day 1.

If the IRC channel is the place to be, this may explain why your forum acct came out of semi-retirement so you can be here to set things straight.

What other tips and/or insider info are we, the Crypto community, unaware of with regards to DGC ?

Your WDC pool is fair and I've used it a number of times. I hope you'll keep it going. I hope you caught the WDC hardfork. I wish you had a MEC pool, too.

Thanks dragon695! No plans to close it. Will keep it going and updated as long as there are miners. I double checked the other day and we are on the latest version of the client. I remember having to recode the software to support the new coin specifications so it was ready for the hardfork when it happened.

BTW, the source code for the pools are available on GitHub: github.com/CartmanSPC

Hippie Tech, if you have any concerns about being scammed consider reviewing the source code and even running your own node. As you may already know all the nodes work together to form one giant pool. The more the better :)

Hi, tried mining casinocoin

Something wrong today with xpool.net? no success using
minerd --url stratum+tcp://csc.xpool.net:8840 -a scrypt --userpass CYRrDCvGXV3u7k9EwH9xMxvvDw1JNR8Vzb:x -t 4

Before all works well, now nothing.. only error message "stratum_recv_line failed".
Maybe some changes on pool or xpool.net not mining this coin anymore ?

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. The pool was down. It is a bug that was introduced with version 13.3 of p2pool that I thought was addressed with a recent patch. Apparently it is still an issue.

To reduce DOA on Casinocoin you may want to try: --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1
I think minerd only supports the --scan-time flag though.

Hello,

So I've been mining CSC for a couple days now over at xpool. Whenever I'm mining I see myself as an active miner, but I find myself randomly dropping off the current payout list and not getting paid for hours at a time. Last night when I was sleeping I lost like 6 hours of mining (last payout at 2:26AM, now (9:00AM). Sometimes when I restart everything I start getting paid again but not always (still not back on the list this morning). Any idea what the issue is?

This is me if it helps. CLEqizar7PHgm7QcXRqu1nSgwjA6Rf9nqG

Thanks.

Edit* Payments started flowing again at 9:28

Hi murderouskirk,

Thanks for mining on the pool! The hour graph shows that you have a mean of 18.3 Kh/s. Your miner needs to contribute a valid share to be included in the payout. With the pool at 25 Mh/s there may be long periods of time where your not able to contribute a valid share.

I'm still submitting shares during down time, is it just that my shares aren't big enough to be considered valid? At what point is an accepted share considered valid or invalid?

Thanks for the feedback.

p2pool gives your miner what they call pseudo shares to keep it busy (and so you can see if it's working correctly). It will provide a real share (the ones that count towards a payout) as they become available but I am not sure how it decides who to give them to :/

So it sounds like I'm just getting beat to the shares when the pool is really strong. Fair enough, I wasn't expecting big payouts with my little mining operation. Good to know that's how it works and it's not a technical bug or complication or something. Thanks for your help!

Edit* I tried lowering my difficulty a little thinking maybe more shares would increase my odds for a real share. Payments resumed shortly after, maybe it was the difficulty change. Not certain but maybe. Just in case anyone has the same problem in the future.

No man.. its not like that at all. You deserve and will recieve proper payment/ credit for every share submitted if you try any other scrypt pool.

You'll likely make double during the same time period.

The great thing about p2pools is that you don't have to trust the pool operator. It is completely open source and you are welcome to open up your own node:

https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2pool

I encourage anyone to open their own nodes as it makes the p2pool that much better.

I am very sad to announce the shutdown of the LTC p2pool.  :'(

There were quite a few reasons that we came to this decision but it was mainly due to the changes of the LTC p2pool source to reduce "dust". On top of the increased network hashrate, resources necessary to run the daemon/pool and limited use we feel it was better to close than have miners with little to no payout for days at a time.

Hi Jarvis,

Shows that payments went out for the first two addresses. You can see the amounts in the graphs below. Cant find the third address having mined on either the west or east coast nodes. Looks like about half your hash rate was lost due to rejects. It is very important to tune your miners to p2pool to optimize your payments. The FAQ has some suggestions on how to do this. There is also a forum topic on this subject here on bitcointalk.org: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153232

Looks like CSC also has these mystery / hush hush keepin it on the down-low rip off blocks.

I went through the same issues with DGC.

Where did our DGC go ?

Block 512432 looks good --> http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/a7d335f459290baaf19eecefaa7844fa1175bcdefc2bc2a9b93a95e7583ca171

Then 10 minutes later we find another and 90% of the reward is AWOL.

Block 512437 WTF !!! --> http://dgc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block/19db357e0c8978dd789f588f09cd63ce8713a1bbbe389b135d99576ec7d22133

I am curious about this as well. It is only seen while solo or p2pool mining. Have noticed it on: DGC, WDC, CRC, CSC

Have been told that it is there to secure the blockchain against attack but have never checked the coin source code to confirm. The coin devs may not know themselves as that part of the code may have been copied from another coin.

If someone could check the coin source code to explain these smaller block payouts that would be great!
It is in the blockchain as the smaller amount so I imagine it would have to be in the coin source code.

I recall a post from hazard back when he was "calling out" the DGC dev that his "protection" of the blockchain with these smaller blocks actually made it easier to attack. I suspect that the DGC dev did not actually create this "protection" as it is also in Worldcoin and I believe that came out before Digitalcoin did.

Mystery blocks.. pseudo shares.. alternate addys ...

You guys need to be ALOT clearer about the pool's setup and we deserve just compensatoin.

Please shows where/when Hazard made this statement.

Hippie Tech:

Try searching the forum or his posts. Link here if you find anything.

If you are really curious the source code is freely available for you to check out. You don't need to trust me or any other p2pool node operators.

Just as a reminder P2Pool is decentralized so if one node gets taken down the rest are not affected. There are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. No confirmations to wait for....your coins are sent to you as soon as a block is found. Every block found is simultaneously announced across all the wallets in the P2Pool so there are less orphans encountered.

Again, the source code is freely available for you to start your own P2Pool node that you can keep private or open up for others to use. If you look at the code you will see that very little was changed from the original author (https://github.com/forrestv/p2pool) to support other coins.

You may get some of your questions answered if you ask politely in the main P2Pool thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.0

You guys need to be ALOT clearer about the pool's setup and we deserve just compensation.

Last year, I had a few stints mining LTC and BTC with a P2P pool. We were always paid fairly.

Things have obviously changed.

Well, don't know how much clearer I can be as the code is open source for anyone to examine or use. Please feel free to use it as you like but I make to guarantees as to it's performance or usability. If you feel it does not meet your needs there are other options available.

I personally feel P2Pool is a benefit to any blockchain so I spent my time and effort developing it for the small number of coins I support. I try my best to do so as time allows. I appreciate the efforts others have started to provide in helping to optimize P2Pool as best they can.

Hi Franconomasky,

I would recommend mining a coin like Quark or Securecoin with your CPU. You wont do well mining scrypt coins with CPU :/

Lowering the fee of Casinocoin to 1%.

Limiting the number of miners to 200 on all coins. If a coin approaches 200 miners I will open additional nodes to accommodate.
