By next five years,bitcon would have got legalized in many more countries like vietnam,south korea,india,australia,etc.Bitcoin would have got free completely from the dominance of china.More Mining farms would have got set up in various parts of world  due to china's actions against bitcoin there which is good for bitcoin progress since it could once again make decentralization true in mining.Bitcoin price could reach $15,000 to $20,000 if no further hard forks occur.

We do not know what's happening. But just one thing I'm sure, based on my knowledge that bitcoins will increase by almost $ 10,000. Many today are testing their way because of rumors of bitcoins in china, We have seen the collapse of it soon but will not break any bitcoins anymore. So let's keep our eyes on and watch what happens because bitcoins are powerful and nobody can break crypto.

the next five years will be a lot of financial transactions with the virtual currency, so I think the future of bitcoin the next five years will be brighter, as more and more countries will accept bitcoin as the country's legal virtual currency.

I think the value of Bitcoin will continue to grow with the approval of many countries in the world. Another Bitcoin price prediction thread. Well to answer your question no one can predict what will be the value of bitcoin in the next 5 years because no one can see the future but if countries continue to adopt bitcoin and if merchants around the world will accept bitcoin as a payment bitcoin value will rapidly rise but no exact value. But if other countries will follow what china did the value will rapidly collapse.

Every end of year estimate and I see only on this range..

December 2017 - 6000$ - 7000$
               2018 - 12000$ - 13000$
               2019 - 20000$ - 21000$
               2020 - 30000$ - 31000$

So in spanned of five years in my prediction can go beyond $35000 to $40000 per bitcoin in 2021. That is just my self evaluation as i truly trust bitcoin much and its potential to be on that price and every opinion is right.. No exaggeration is intended just truthful believes..

Nobody knows what will happen with Bitcoin in the future. But as we know the amount of bitcoins will be rare compared to bitcoin users, so I think the bitcoin price will increase and become more expensive. CMIIW.

I cannot tell you what will happen with the price of bitcoin in the next 5 years. 5 years is a too long time and mant things could happen. What I can tell you is that in the next two years the price of bitcoin will continue to increase steadely. Until the end of 2019 the price of bitcoin will grow up to 10000-20000 After 2019 it is possible a new bubble to happen that will increase the bitcoin price somewhere around 50000-100000. But as I told you, what happens after 2019 is unpredictible.

Nobody can predict the future. We are seeing attacks from rival developers and also financial institutions <JP Morgan> and also governments. This makes Bitcoin very volatile and unpredictable. Every time some ignorant government employee or old school fiat investor open their mouth, the price goes down.

Bitcoin can go to $0 or it can go to $1 000 000. Do not invest more than what you are willing to lose. ^smile^

2017 is the year that saw the big step of Bitcoin. It improves to the world that Bitcoin isn't a garbage. It's hope and future. 5 years are really a long time but Bitcoin can multiples 5 times in 2017, so why don't we make a logic that 5 years more will make bitcoin multiples 25 times ? I'm seriously .

I only have a guess that bitcoin will be more than 5000 usd after the septembull, the bull market that will take place this September. And the end of that is at September 20. And bitcoin will go to the moon after that.

it is very difficult to predict bitcoin prices for the next 5 years. Why is that ? you can see for yourself the problems that are happening in china, they forbid ICO, and plan to close the bitcoin trade there, whatever happened, but this is real proof, every bad issue about bitcoin ,, "BOOM" bitcoin price down. which is able to strengthen the price of bitcoin is the market, But in fact it is even bad news that makes bitcoin prices down. Just an expectation from me, hopefully in the next 5 years bitcoin can reach $ 10,000 per BTC

I think the next five years think bitcoin will be very developed. It will be legalized in many countries now that they are banned. Bitcoin payments will become very easy to use to buy food and more. Payment terms will be shorter with smart payments. And the value of bitcoin will be higher and attract more investors to invest in it.

In 5 years time I think that the price per bitcoin should be at least $8k which is double the price level from now, if not more. It should be easily $10k+ by the time that the year 2021 is finished.

The biggest pumps usually come 1 year after the halving(2013, 2017, etc.). And that pump usually triples the previous all time high price, or even more in 2013.

I think that going into the next decade, bitcoin is going to gain a lot more followers as well. Therefore, price going to $10k+ as i said should not be a worry at all. Matter of when in the next 5 years.

IMO price is going to be pretty high and definitely should be a few all time highs broken by the time 5 years goes past.

I would say with confidence, at least $15,000 per coin by 2021-2022. However just don't expect bitcoin to get all of its gains from 2018-2020. Most of the gains are going to come from the halving year and the year after.

If major institutional investors come in then $20k+ per coin could be possible as well.

every year bitcoin prices always increase. if it is thought then every year the price of bitcoin can not be predicted easily. I compare with the previous year, so over the next 5 years there will be a fairly high rise in bitcoin prices. you write a very high price, but that's reasonable because bitcoin prices always give us a miracle. we must wait until the time comes to see the reality.

In the period of 5 years $100k is very much possible by looking at the way Bitcoin is rising and demand is increasing. In future the demand is set to increase more with increase in awareness. Price will keep on multiplying. Many investors are turning towards Bitcoin. Future is bright enough.

It is either very high or very low depending on how governments, normal people and businessmen will react on bitcoin in the next five years. Government could ban or make it illegal, normal people may find it unnecessary and expensive and businessmen may not adopt. These could lead to price going down. But if everything went good, it will be very high and 10k or more is not hard to achieve.

I think bitcoin has a very bright future in the next 5 years or so. From what we can see in the past few months, the sheer volume of bitcoins being traded is on a rise, and not to mention the actual price!
I would predict bitcoin to sit comfortably between $10,000 USD to $20,000 easily within the next 5 years.

However, I guess Bitcoin is just too volatile to predict, as this has been proven before in the past. (Well, at least for me). Bottom line - the price will still be on the increase and it is safe / should be done to invest in bitcoin where possible.

5 years is a long time in crypto it will end up being a lot higher but short term we are going down

It is too early to guess what will be the worth of bitcoin in 5 years from now. Nobody knows what will going to happen in the future, but let me just take a guess then. I think bitcoin worth will be around $10,000 - $15,000 per BTC if there's no more hard forks will it will be going to $20,000 per BTC.

If you see Bitcoin's history you'll find it increase its value every year.
2014 = 750$
2015 = 500$
2016 = 600-780
2017 = 800 - 1,150

Most of Bitcoins expert said it can cross the range $20000 -$30000 per bitcoin in 2020.But still we can't say anything. We all know China banned Bitcoins recently. By doing this bitcoins values goes down.So i am just afraid what if every country banned btc it may fall down more.

My prediction by the next five years about bitcoin is it will become more and more expensive and on that year bitcoin will consider as money that you may use even in offline store. In addition to that, I hope on that year the price of bitcoin was more expensive because it can reason to earn more profit and money.

I depend my prediction in my environment,, as I've seen more store and businesses are eyeing to open available features for adding bitcoin service in our country.. I have seen total transformation since 2016 and until now.. We do have increases every year in the past but not as big happened this year.. I think we can't call this phenomenon as miracles but it was destined to be on this place at the right time..

Honestly speaking, I also think that bitcoin will be able to cross 5k dollars because the price will keep on lingering between 4000 dollars and 4500 dollars before September and after that there will be an increase in the price of bitcoins. Even in the worst case scenario, it will be worth 4500 dollars.

After 5 years, you mean in 2022, bitcoin worth of course bitcoin would be remain one in all crypto currencies. About price value would be high and in my prediction wise, we would see bitcoin at least in $10000 to $30000.  I don't' think so that bitcoin would have be highest price more than $30000 in 2022. Bitcoin definitely have any price but under $30000, it is a least and highest price of bitcoin which we will see the bitcoin after 5 years.

We could easily see $1 million if Bitcoin sees mass adoption.  I think governments will want a blockchain they have more control over though, so I think they will push hard for an alternative when Bitcoin starts becoming more popular.  We've already seen many attacks on bitcoin, both on the exchanges and through the media but its still going strong!

Worst thing it can get is the down side of the price, I think we are seeing a resistance from the price and right now the price is at $3800 right now, I wish we can see the $5000 value before the end of this month because it is very futile to speculate right now that the price is at the verge of dipping again.

Hmm, you are right that in the short term Bitcoin has been in another downtrend since the 18th and we haven't actually really reversed the downtrend that started back at the beginning on the month, every time that bitcoin find the bottom a new ATH seems to follow shortly after.

With reference to the current price, I believe that the price of bitcoin will be much higher. Maybe it'll be reaching at least twice to thrice the present price. Right now solid growth is happening in terms of adoption as a whole country and in terms of individuals. Other than that several events such as halving, splitting were gonna happen causing a growth in value.

If we aim for long term holdings, that 5 years will not matter if the funds you are saving in your wallet will be surprisingly gained it's value. That's rewarding for us if we see our assets growing that big if we sell it for profitable means of earning bigger bitcoin value. How much more if all countries in the world will be open to all the developments of bitcoin, I am certain that price will be a rising currency in the future ten years.

yes, the price does not rise as fast as everyone wants. There are opinions of analysts who say that the price may again drop to 2300. I do not like such forecasts. But I'm sure that in the long run bitcoin will show strong growth

Well OP is speculating in the impending 5 years that the price of bitcoin will be at the $100,000 mark value, and people in here are talking about the fall for now, well I think it is always good to talk for what is happening right now, but I think speculation need a futuristic analysis and In my opinion 5 years from now the value would be at the $50,000 mark value only but we can never say I only think that it will be this value that will be the nearest speculation within the 5 years cap.

One thing is sure. Bitcoin will not be worth $1  million in 5 years time. Impossible. No matter what happens. There is high chance Bitcoin will be worth $1 million, but way latter then in 5 years and at that time you will be able to afford way less bread with $1 million as you can afford now.

Maybe around $20k or something, or maybe it will stay where it is right now, and keep fluctuating in between $4k to $5k. We can never know what will happen next with Bitcoin. We see a little pump and we start thinking that now it might hit double the price in two months, and then suddenly something happens, like China banning exchanges right now, and it comes down again. So it is not really predictable, still, it can go very high.

Perhaps, in the past i can say we will never know what will happen but after seeing bitcoin growth fast and some countries have legalized bitcoin, I'm sure bitcoin price will not go lower than $2000 because the demand of bitcoin has increased, it will make bitcoin price strong. for my prediction maybe the price will stay around $5000-$10,000 but im sure the price will never go above than $10,000.

If I look at the growth of bitcoin and population growth at any time, the possibility of bitcoin prices for the next few years will reach a good price of about $ 5000. And in my opinion, prices will continue to rise as with the success of countries that have adopted bitcoin will be a positive support for bitcoin advancement.

yes that is right to say that no one can say anything about before 5 years, that is a very big time. but i think still we can expect that bitcoin price will still continue increasing, because the price of bitcoin has a very good potential as still very limited number of people know about bitcoin and now the number of bitcoin users is contentiously increasing, which will surely let the price of bitcoin to continue increasing for a long time.

That's huge price I guess, lets just be optimized at 10k maybe when we hit that 5years. But prior that we'll experience a lot of pumps and dumps for several years and speculations will become worst than of present days. So that confirmed to be unpredictable and no one can even give a certain and concrete evidence will it will rise higher of it's value. Only analysis remains a proof of evidence why we should invest bitcoin now.

Let be close to the reality I think 5 years from now bitcoin value is around $6000 - $8000, if you all think that this is too lower compared to your expectation. It could be more than $10k for sure. In those years, I'm imagining a mass adoption and using btc rather than fiat is the norm.

Every year bitcoin value was increasing, showing the potential to be more expensive in the future, and $10k is not possible for bitcoin it when times come that all country start to adopt bitcoin and the demand will increase very high i think bitcoin value will rising up too.

For me in 5 years, bitcoin's price will continue to grow. I think it will reach $10000 for each bitcoin, and bitcoin will be used in many transactions. It will also be recognized by governments, and may also be legalized all around the globe.

In my imagination, bitcoin become easier to use also to gain profits. Although its value, i expect higher than now. So, just from profits bitcoin our my family needs can be fulfilled.

I read today that Amazon is planning to introduce bitcoin payment on their press conference on 26th October. If this is true then $6k-$8k BTC in 2017 won't be impossible anymore.

Indeed. Governments have zero interest in adopting one of the already existing crypto currencies if they easily can get their own centralized version developed, and tie to their local fiat currency. It more than ever puts the control in the hands of the governments. Think about them being able to freeze any balance with just a few mouse clicks, that they can give anyone an instant haircut if they think it's necessary, they can follow every step you set wherever you conduct payments, etc. As a person caring about financial freedom and decentralization, this is obviously not going to be much of a help to me. One of the main reasons I use Bitcoin for is that it allows me to avoid dealing with any banking or governmental related entity.

That's right everything in bitcoin is freedom and it's a freewill of everybody in this world. Bitcoin's worth is deeply recognized and even how long years will it be, still it will rise higher within a span of time and even more years to go. Particular investments will grow even higher and will bring us profit and make changes of every people's lives.

I agree with what you had said guys but I don't know if I'm too much reading of conspiracies all over the web with some sort of societies and one world government stuffs. I'd read there that there will be a one world currency, gov't and almost everything that will be issued for all the countries will be united with it. And with the one world currency thing, I'm thinking that it will be bitcoin.

For me After 5 years possible price of bitcoin is more than 15k dollars. Because as of now the price is 3800 dollars and for sure it will continue to increase after few years . But for sure its very hard once bitcoin reach 10k dollars because for sure once they reach that many people sell their bitcoin . But we dont know what exact price.

5 years is a lot of time to increase the price of bitcoin. so it's still possible to get bitcoin at rates above 10K. in theory this could have happened because the increase in bitcoin prices is now always stable every year. at the end of this year I speculated that bitcoin price rates could reach 5K USD. assuming that every year there will be an increase of 1K USD. so the next 5 years I projected that bitcoin prices could reach the highest value above 10K USD.

In 5years I think bitcoin price will reach around $15k. But no one knows or maybe lower than that. We all just speculating but it is also important to us so w may know especily to those who are expert for a long time investing.
But for me bitcoin is now worth it to have. It has a good amount and a good thing to invest so we can gain profit in the future.

Five years is a very long time, but I have an estimate for everyone as it is. I estimate that after five years, it will be at the level of 1000 dollars and at the level of 7,500 dollars.

Even though bitcoin price is unpredictable, 4-5 years is a long enough timeframe for us to have an idea of where price is going.

In 4 years time we can definitely expect bitcoin price to double and reach levels close to or more than $10k per bitcoin. However in 5 years time i think the prices should have cooled down a bit and perhaps adjusted to $7-8k.

And these are quite conservative prediction figures as usually halvings can bring pumps way bigger than that (just look at 2013 and 2017, this year).

My prediction about bitcoin is 7k to 5k? Is it funny and interesting but who now?  As i kmow there are possibility that bitcoin reach that value. .even its always volatile ..

In the last 5 years, Bitcoin has "permanently" doubled 9 times, from $5 to $2500. This includes a 2 year bear market.

If it doubles 9 more times in 5 years, that would put us right around $1,300,000.

If we are a little more conservative and say the doubling rate halves, so only 4 or 5 more doublings, that would bring us down to only $40,000 or $80,000.

Your prediction will come true if Bitcoin get accept from the government in next time. If Bitcoin cannot does that, the price of Bitcoin never increases steady like your said, because it is unstable when no one fixed its value.

Hard to believe for the price to come for that digits but If there's a big news will happen on bitcoins and huge buy cap together with certain legalization will be happen I think bitcoins would reach for that price for upcoming 5 years from now. But I can't totally drop the exact figures but hopes that one will come and many eyes will roled to see the great happenings on bitcoins and that's for sure.

In 5 years, bitcoin's worth will be like a holy grail for everyone. Every people around the world would gladly accept bitcoin as payment for their service or goods rather than fiat. I'm imagining a signage outside the window of a restaurant or store like "We only accept bitcoins".

You are saying just 10 year i would like to say that it will take just less than 3 years because if it would take 3 years because bitcoin is spiriting around the world and it has break many records so i hope it will shift to crypto currencies.

That's not fair, because even now very few governments have accepted bitcoin in a legalized manner. Even before that the growth has been taking place in a stable and steady manner. Once after the adoption from governments the fluctuations took place in large scale taking the price grow much higher. So in 5 years time lot changes will happen.

Exactly I have predicted the crossing figure of 10000$ for bitcoin after five years. I think beside the value for bitcoin after five years, bitcoin would be close to recognize itself across the world a legal currency and most of the developed countries of the would have been declared a legal currency in their countries but a formal approval being a global currency would be required that time. The bitcoin holder will enjoy much that time.

If bitcoin still survived and price are still increasing probably all members of bitcoin community become millionaire. How wonderful it is? This is great opportunity for us, and we should not waste this moment because I believe there is something great to happen in the future more than of what we have expected.

The Bitcoin total supply is very limited, and if the number of millionaires in the world is higher than the number of Bitcoins available, as they say, I would not be surprised if a single Bitcoin becomes worth more than a million dollars. But I think it will take more than 5 years for this to happen.
