Hello guys,

What is really happening the market all red?

Woke up this morning with my full confidence that market will continue to recover but it didn't!

Can someone explain to me what is really going on because the market is not recovering, instead going to the hell again, more deeper!

market bitcoin is experiencing a very negative trend. prices dropped by hundreds of dollars in just a few hours. I advise not to panic, we wait until the price shows a good thing at least in one week ahead. be patient I am convinced of a miracle that can make bitcoin increase again. because currently the bitcoin is in development and also the demand that many of the people in the market.

The Chinese government said that it wants to ban ICOs and also shut down exchanges running in their country. This is causing people to panic sell. A lot of people in the forums here just say that it is all FUD. Only time will tell for sure.

Same with you, I'm also expecting a recovery of price this morning but my prediction failed me for many times this week. But I'm still not backing down by holding what has left in my wallet for this kind of uncertainty and bad publicity. I can still handle this rate of pressures but until at what level below 3000$? I can't tell.

People are becoming uneasy with all the news coming from freakin China. Trading alt coins is one of the main ways people earn bitcoins and with the ban on ICO, people are fearing there would be a disruption. The supposed closing of exchanges (I haven't checked which has closed, if any) isn't helping at all.

Bitcoin has recently risen a LOT. It is only natural, that the price goes a little down sometimes.
And in addition to that the news from China are probably worrying to some people.

That is not a hell. Just think of how bitcoin or those other altcoins risen recently, still the amount it was increase is way better. Also hug the dip rather than consider that as hell.

There are lots of persons who always says that they are waiting for price decrease since they didn't able to do so when price is increasing. And now that their desires happened, still hesitation always come first. If you aren't ready for this price volatility, I can't imagined what will be the effect to you or to some people if bitcoin price goes back at $100 or altcoin price dumped at 1000%. :)

it hasn't even been 48 hours, stop panicking. also, it dropped double of what it has so far when the news broke that china banned ICO's within their jurisdiction. I'm guessing that along with the news breaking of the JP morgan & chase bank's CEO's opinion on bitcoin coming out, people are starting to panic sell, and the price tanking only served to amplify the effect. if anything, it's a great opportunity to snatch up some cheaper bitcoin, i've full faith that the price will normalize a bit again, as it did not even a week after the news with china first broke.

that would be a near 33% price drop, i dont think the recent events are enough to destroy bitcoin that much, i think it would take a chain of unfortunate events for bitcoin to fall that far in the near foreseeable future. as for me, when the price starts stabilizing, ill buy some at my convenience and make a few easy bucks.

We cannot help but to hold. Even Bitcoin itself is red. You can put a short position if you want ;). The garbage news from China is ruining the last stage of price correction of Bitcoin. The price is supposed to go up now.

there are multiple reasons for this development.

1. rumors about a china bitcoin exchange ban
2. JP Morgan CEO calling bitcoin a fraud is all over the mainstream news
3. the segwit2x fork threat in november is also approaching

I am also expecting yesterday that the price will go up but I am wrong with my prediction and also my brother told me to wait until tomorrow to the price of bitcoin to go up but we are wrong. I am also panic right now. But I am still expecting the price will go up.

like the news when there will be hardfork on August 1 ago, the price of bitcoin down because there is panic. And now the news of panic comes from China, and I'm sure it will not last long, then everything will be fine. And later after all normal returns, then every wake up and you see the market, everything will come back green ;)

As Op has described each and every digital token market trend were found red. This is the indication of the fall in the value of the asset, also till now none has a clear statement for the ongoing price fall going below $4000. Now the whales could have started investing while the small volume holders starts to get panic and tend to sell.

I keep holding my bitcoin even though the price's trend isn't in my favor. I consider to buy again when the price down to around 3500 USD. I do believe that this is just a temporarily. It'll increase again soon!

Yes, now you are talking my friend. I know there most be something that really shakes the market for sure, but I don't know what exactly for sure!
So, JP Morgan CEO show his hate on bitcoin and bitcoiners as well, that son of the bit*h never see us coming, did he? Very soon they will be out of the picture. ;D

That's what makes it all red for sure, I don't know if china banned of ico is just a humor or a true event but it likely be one of the factor. JP Morgan just ignored that fool for he just want attention for his greedy banks. This November as fork may happened hope I turned out to be like august for it makes more positive impact than negative one.

This is all the game played by the whales to bring the value of Bitcoin down so they can be able to get more of it at a cheaper price...soon enough they would do the other thing and that is pumping the value of Bitcoin so they can sell what they bought at a lower price for a higher value. This is just a cyclic nature and these people have been good at it having done the same thing again and again with good rate of effectiveness.

Of course, the backdrop for the dump will be the news (and rumor of news) coming from China of the possible banning of Bitcoin exchanges though there remains no announcement from the government on the said issue. In other words, the market is just reacting to the continuing emission of speculations.

So what can we do as small holders of Bitcoin? Well, we should not panic and be a part of the negative bandwagon...we will hold our Bitcoin knowing that things will definitely turn around soon. No need to panic. No need to do anything that we might regret later.

Just stay put and maybe hold some breathe and stop looking at CoinMarketCap.

Don't be panic on the price of bitcoin. The price of coins are not stable every time. There is a doubt about on ico's ban on china. The earner of Internet is interested to earn on altcoin on ico and sell it via Bitcoin. I think the price of bitcoin will increase very short possible of time.

Yes, It is observed this morning. When BTC goes south all other altcoins follow suit. But it is normal for breathing and will soon pump.

i think because too many coin do release thats why too many people use other coin that can cause by low demand of other coin.

1. Price is dropping and that's why it's all red. But you can move to China where the colors are the opposite to feel better.
2. Your confidence was based on what? If you spend to much time in this forum you will lose touch with reality. It's what happens to people sent to a monastery, yeah... brainwashing.
3. People lose your number 2, confidence. And they sell, with less and less people buying.

Based on numbers people think right now bitcoin is over valuated.

It is a market,  just wait and see, when it touched the bottom of the chart I will Buy. Just need more observation and advices from Pros for recognizing where the real bottom is.

Its really the negative news coming from China that greatly affected the price. Yesterday it was around $42xxx already and I'm thinking that we are already in the road to recovery. But the dump happen again. And then JP Morgan's Dimon claiming the bitcoin is a fraud may have contributed as well to the price declined. It's another bloodbath but I consider this another challenge that bitcoin market can overcome in the next coming weeks. So we don't need to panic but instead this is a chance to get bitcoin at a bargain.

It really seems like China is going to ban the exchanges, these are very bad news for all cryptocurrencies and so the people are in panic!
I know that these are all rumors and maybe not true, but you have to keep in mind that the chinese goverment never liked cryptocurrencies!
I think the whole market cap will dump a lot more,maybe even under 100 Billion, specially after a official statement from the chinese goverment, but that is ok, I am not worried at all!
Japan/Australia/Canada etc. did understand what the technology is about and they will replace China easily! and it seems like ETF trading will be possible soon.

If the chinese goverment do really ban cryptocurrencies, it will be the worst mistake they did for their own country!

A lot of happenings are influencing the current price of Bitcoin, the main ones being the Chinese government's decision on banning Bitcoin and altcoin exchanges across their country and JP Morgan CEO, James Dimon's utterly baseless statement of calling Bitcoin a 'fraud' worse than the tulip mania. Its pretty saddening that just baseless news is enough to bring a flourishing market down to its knees and it only gets worse as more FUDs appear as we watch the market tumbling.

Don't worry about it. the value just dropped a bit but ofcourse it will go up again after some time. That is how bitcoin works. If i were you you should invest on bitcoin when the value drops so that you can make profit i it goes back up.

The huge drop in bitcoins value is due to panic selling of bitcoins by holders. This panic is triggered by the current issue in CHina wherein the government is banning bitcoin exchanges in their area. This has caused a negative impact on the bitcoin market as a whole. China as the biggest farmer in bitcoin mining will surely place a great pressure and impact on bitcoin which resulted to the present downfall of bitcoins value.

it is usually happen when bitcoin soon to raise 2x in the market, the drop indicates that bitcoin will pump the day after tomorrow . its all already happened before so dont panic because it is a normal scenario that even bitcoin goes down including alt-coins too. or maybe bitcoin now is facing a problem from those negative news that can affect on bitcoin price now. but hoping that it will back to normal, just hold on and dont panic, everything is fine.

same here im looking forward for the price this morning but it all turns red last night it was a 4% negative but right now it price go down. but I think it is the time to hold and buy more. Remember what happen last aug. after a week or this month this will give as a full blast of increase. just hold on your bitcoin and dont panic sell it will all turn the price red just hold on and buy more as the price is low.

The reason why BTC dropped so fast, because of the panic attack sellers in China who didn't want to hold their BTC anymore.

The price will be stabilized again in the next few weeks (Hopefully there will be no more negative news ahead)...

The price was good yesterday and I sold all my coins yesterday . I thought the price would be more high today but to my surprise it went way down.
I think its a very good time to buy some bitcoins as it will surely increase in price in some days after the China panic is over and then will be a good time to sell and make good profits. Its certain that the Chinese people are selling all these coins because of the uncertain decisions taking place in their country. Its a good opportunity for others to make money out of this situation.

This is only sign that big banks are afraid of bitcoin and he said bitcoin is fraud because he knows bitcoin is real and it is here to stay long long time. Banks can kiss our asses

2014 has been the worst performing year for bitcoin, even back then we were seeing all red candles. Those who believed in the good of the project and those who understood what bitcoin is really about got both knowledge and profit within one of the most exciting field IT has ever seen.
If you can't keep up with the Red, well this world is not for you. Better leave it before it's too late. But if you understand what impact Bitcoin will have long-term, welcome aboard and enjoy the up&down ride

We have the same sentiment I thought it will rally just like what happened last week, but it's not the kind of news that will make me dump my coin, it's just another of those bad days of Bitcoin but I'm 100% sure it will rally next week.

I just wish China would hurry up and ban it all rather than threatening to. At least the world would know where it stood. As for now, hodl.

Yes 4 things that are very closely related,
[1.] News not reported properly,
[2.] Bad news reported properly,
[3.] painc selling by people with weak hands who cannot see the big picture or the long game and
[4.] people taking advantage of the uncertainty in the market and selling to drive the price down

Yeah you are correct. when I saw my blockfolio I just shock because all of my coins goes down especially the bitcoins. I think there is a big effect to the banning of the China to the bitcoin and all ICO's.

That's not the only reason why the prices are going down, That jerk CEO of JP Morgan Jamie Dimon said Bitcoin is a fraud and it's going to blow up, I am sure lot's of newbie investors heard it and are afraid and started selling, that's one reason for this, I am very surprised that they are listening to bankers in the first place. They care only about themselves.

It's remarkable that Etherium was $11 in February, 2017 and then rocketed to nearly $400 just recently. Did the coin suddenly get 40x as much adoption, 40x as many transactions, is its future 40 times brighter?

The market clearly went insane - I wouldn't touch Etherium over $10 or BTC over $1000.

Most of the coins today are falling down. I think this is the best time to invest our money to the cryptocurrency world because the price of the coins are still low.

Sadly I think we are in for a fall for a while, anything up to 50% off peak is my guess. Don't worry, it will recover though sooner than you think

Its not surprising though because these kind of dips do really happen specially when theres some Big News and i did really expect for this thing to happen.Its really pain in the eyes checking and seeing my portfolio are all in reds but well i didnt tend to sell off on those prices and rather decide to hold up for longer more and buy more cheaper coins instead since i do have some spare money on this kind of situations.

ICO ban in china and there is also a humor that there are bitcoin exchange that will close in china too thats the main reason why its dump and even altcoin affected into this humor.

You have to buy Ethereum if you want to buy the smart contracts that are built on top of their platform. That's where the demand for Ether comes from.

I agree to you that what Jamie said really impacts his constituent that already invested with any other cryptocurrencies to pull out their investments as he is an influential figure to businesses but he already did it way back in 2015 I think and he will keep on repeating it because he is happy with that kind of controversy.

And also the issue about the banning of ICO's in China really affects the price of bitcoin aside and some spread a FUD that bitcoin in China will be localize as they will ban the internet there too.

this is indeed a difficult situation. but remember that every bitcoin is dumped, definitely bitcoin will also skyrocket. so make wise decisions.

Every one is talking about bad news from China but have they been taking any real action to implement such policies?

It seems like every few years when BTC is going up in price consistently China makes some sort of vague threat and the price crashes. Screams of attempts at price manipulation. I'm sure there's some insiders in the Chinese government making a lot of money off this.

I have the same thinking. China is capable in all this drama, I hope other countries don't follow ;D

I have same feelings as all of you, but then again, rising up that high and now falling fast is nothing but healthy. For a price that is unstable, this is still healthy. But as time goes by, bitcoin users are being anxious and they panic sell. That's why bitcoin's price keeps falling down. Maybe some users were still waiting for it go lower for them to buy it in a low price.

Yeah, far and away, I made the most money from my crypto during the year-plus that I wasn't looking at the price and had pretty much completely forgotten about it.  Now that I'm aware and monitoring the price, I start making stupid decisions.

It is normal that coins may dump sometimes. We need to stay calm and we need to be patient until coins will be good again and until the coins will pump again. Just be patient amd wait for it to rise again. In that case we will have some profit when we want to sell them. Just be patient guys.

LOL. It's very normal my friend :))). The price go up and down every minute that is the way trader earn money so don't worry about it :D. The price of Bitcoin and all other coin will go up back soon :D. If the price of all coin always go up or stable, I think it'll be very hard to earn money or Bitcoin from trading and a lot of trader will give it up and find out a new way to earn money and Bitcoin :))

While going through a list of altcoins, found majority of the digital coins indicated with red mark. Found credibit to be the only asset that have got indicated with green mark. This describes the fall if the bitcoin and other associated assets as a whole. Maybe in few weeks time once again the price moves forward gaining resistance.

China rumors run very heavily.
this proves the value of bitcoin price is weakening, just as it does in stock market.
I do not know this will end when. which obviously makes many people panic.

At this point, I think these rumors are not the biggest problem anymore. People know that Bitcoin is resistant to such things.

I think this drop is the result of a misinterpretation that Bitcoin is in a bubble, when they can't see how Bitcoin evolved in the past few years, and they can't see where it can go...

The pull back is happening because of the China news  + the BTC-E exchange is coming back on line in a day or so which will allow people to withdraw their coins again.

Once they all start withdrawing their coins they will be able to dump them on other exchanges and trade them in for fiat. That will make the price crash .

I think maybe because of China ban. Chinese Hold a big part of btc supply.

This is how bitcoins works. Its a market place where bitcoins facing negative trend. Its price decrease and increase every moment. We have to hold our BTC until the price go up it may takes weeks or maybe months.

I advice that everyone should not panic. Bitcoins value depreciate but I think since it is inconsistent, it won’t happen for too long. Bitcoin will eventually continue its track on being number one among other crypto.

Well the crash has something to do with Jamie Dimon's interview in cnbc saying that bitcoin is a fraud and also the china's ban on bitcoin exchanges and the chinese selling all their bitcoins so, i think that the china's ban contribute a lot in the crash but the price is slightly recovered as of now so, nothing to worry

It is, most people here panicked after that news from China and makes the market all red and crashed. Actually i thought bitcoin will keep going down until the end of the month but it stopped when it reach $3,380 and i really happy when the price of bitcoin start go up again. I can't imagine if i have many bitcoins when it happened.

Bitcoin is the way to the future money. It is simple, I agree that have been a lot of pumps and dumps but just check the bitcoin price during this year only, it has more than quadrupled. This gives us an indication that after a few years maybe the price of a bitcoin can be to 25000-30000 usd but we can only speculate as no one from us knows the future.

Yes the market is getting red again. It is a sad thing. But lets don't panic, I think it is just normal when it comes to this market. Why ? Different digital currencies have price that are not stable every time. So it can goes up and down. By this time it is more on decreasing and the time will come that it will increase again but no one can tell when.  But despite all of this I hope the price of bitcoin will increase sooner for we bitcoiner earner of Internet is interested to earn on altcoin on ico and sell it via Bitcoin.

i think not all coins is looking red because if you take a look or you trade in bittrex, there is many coins that in green positions and if you have some of the coins, you can make profit. but yes i realize that most of the coins is in red but its not stop us to make profit with another coins. you should search another coins and analyze first if you want to buy that coins before you missed the party.

Yes, the case with China had a very bad effect on the price of Bitcoin. But I think that the price will recover eventually we just need to wait. I'm sure that it will reach 5000$ again. The drop in Bitcoin's price is not something rare. Do not panic.

it must be very dangerous and definitely the market is very disadvantageous and people sell coins are very confused whether on sale or not.

Recently checked it out and find it more stable than last weeks chart. Better for us to check our investment from time to time to avoid some losses specially now that fake news are revolving around the social media that greatly affect our investment in crypto.

I don't think it's dangerous and very at disadvantage.  You just comment today but the price today just reach 3800-4000$ range, it already recovering from price at 3000$. It was a few weeks ago that the price was very low and now it already recovering. During the panic time some traders already predicted that the lowest price were around 3000$ and it turns out as predicted. Today maybe the best time to buy bitcoin while the price was still at 3800$.  :)

That is necessarily. The only way we can be sure not to do such wrong decisions that may result to losing, it would hurt our investments a lot. We maybe look good superior or we may tried to be a better player, trader or hodler but in reality we do have emotional tendency also but we keep on trusting and waiting patiently for our own gain, for our own good. Look at it as an asset that can only be used when it is badly needed.

Yes indeed the market is showing all red with few exceptions but I am sure that this is not going to sustain for long. It is just the after shock of the major downward trend that the market has shown for last few weeks. That's very normal for the real life stock market and this crypto market as well. It is just saving the energy and strengthening its ground to take the next leap. So chill and wait for the best time to enter.

The bitcoin price is currently standing at $3700 level so it looks really good time to enter. Start buying in small amounts and accumulate. I am doing the same at this moment.   

This is due to the people who panic selling their coins because of those speculation that China will going to shut their connection in ICOs which will I believe will affect the total market of crypto currencies. But I hope nothing will happen so much with drop price. It has also something to do with the correction of btc price, as there is always a roam of correction of bitcoin price, everytime it is raised high.

I think that we may need to wait until November (2 MB block size implementation) for the next major upward price swing. Until then, the FUD from China (and also that from Jamie Dimon) will keep the exchange rates at sub-4,000 levels. But we need to acknowledge the fact that despite China trying to destroy Bitcoin, we lost only around 20% of the exchange rate.

Up and down is understandable for all financial markets
When the market goes up resistance, many investors are psychologically taking profits and selling out
The market will go down for a while, then the green market returns, recovering
Please calm down and keep your money

We can't now decide whether it's a good level to enter it. It can decrease more than this. It is only up to a chinese manipulation to decline for hundreds of dollars. It will be hard to catch old bullish market.

amen! the markets obviously havent completely recovered, and to be honest it seems like we will down before we go up. it took  that massive flash crash we saw recently, in order to boost confidence even for that short lived run (we got knocked back down with additional unsubstantiated rumors) i dont think the China news is completely priced in, and it will take additional clarification before the market feels good enough to rebound, or at least behave normally. the eth tokens are taking the worst beating in all of this; the underlying asset is devaluing AND people are fleeing the asset to get to eth or btc.

A better way to calm down or not often look at the chart. We need to stay calm and we need to be patient until the money is good and until the coin pours. The price of Bitcoin and all other coins will soon rise to Cheesy. If the price of a coin is always rising or stabilizing.

It is going up, but it is going to be a slowly proccess since we are recovering from a bearish trend, i really hope that the price is not going to go down again, because i want to cashout some altcoins and bitcoin price really affects me, but it does not matter, if it goes down, i will take the opportunity and i will buy more bitcoins because it is going to drop a lot

Been busy at work and this is what I will see in the market? This is really pissing me off, my balance may not be that of good amount but still I am expecting to have a good result from my investments. Luckily the prices are regaining their prices again so I think it is good now. I hope this going back price continues.

Dispite of whats happening right now, another problem appears, today south korea also banned ICO's same as china and singapore will also do this plan. Will just wait   what will happen this week. But bitcoin price and other altcoins price are still doing good as of today. But this  is just another obstacle for cryptocurrencies hope that people will not let go of btc and altcoins.

I think the market is not really that affected to the Korean News not like what happened to China, lets hope in coming days people will not start panicking coz if they do we will see reds again.

Yes I believe so it's too sad that after china , south korea also banned ICO's  I guess It's because they wanted badly  to regulate the cryptocurrency  exchanges , well I agree with you that this was just another obstacle like bitcoin has been through throughout the years this soon will pass by and will all returned back to normal.

Pump and dump is the part of game so keep calm and this time will pass soon and  no need to worry hold your coins and wait for the right time bitcoin values are volatile and will pump high after dump so believe in bitcoin it will never let you down and will give you an epic life.

I think the Bitcoin market has dropped in price by hundreds of dollars in just a few hours. I advise not to panic, we wait until the price is setabil. because currently bitcoin is in development and also demand many people in the market.

The last dip occurred more than 48 hours back, and since then the exchange rates have risen by at least 5%. And even now the trend is upwards.

news says the 30th china will close all exchanges. I'm not too sure about this. but still looks stable for the market and bitcoin value. I am waiting for what will happen, and what will china pass again.

Don't panic. It's just a regular thing in crypto market because of high volatility of altcoins.

that's how whales works mate, they are doing the opposite with what we expect to happen and while this problem approaching and another issue has been raise with south korea's actions i guess we will feel this after several weeks when whales already got the attentions of newcomers and new investors which will do some fomo seeing that bitcoin or other crypto are rising, better to assess wisely not being trapped here.

The market of bitcoin is facing a lot of negative publicity due to ban in China and South Korea . The unfair practices used by some of the bitcoin users are also leading to its declining trust in bitcoin which is leading to its red market . But all this will get resolved in a couple of months . Earlier , bitcoin faced the same situation and came up with even a higher market value within a few months , so i am pretty sure that history will repeat itself and the market will be green again .

No need to worry about the price as it is down to will be boosted in no time and advise to the investors don’t be panic this will cause huge loss, I am sure its price will go up in no time and those who sell in this moment will regret in the pump day that why’d they sell so hold your coins there will be raise in price as now demand of bitcoin is increased as compared to before.

It depends on the coin you are holding. If you hold only bitcoin then you don't have to worry but if you are holding altcoins, make sure that this coin has a good community support, good development team and a technology than can solve with unique and never been done before.

Probably there's something to do in order to have panic selling again. We know that China said the exact day of October 1 Exchanger should be closed to them but it looks like the price of bitcoins from OCT 1 - 2. And now it's fallen again I'm sure the schemes are those People like to drop the price of bitcoins so they can buy cheap cost

Altcoins are affected usually always from any direction bitcoin goes, if up altcoins usually down, and if down usually altcoins up, this year a lot altcoins had followed bitcoin and accumulated a lot health, soo its normal some of them to loose their value, at crypto market is always speculating and readjusting the value of each coin.

No red out there everything is going in good way and not to worry about the price again, price is at 4600USD and still moving upward and at the end of this month price will go up to 7000 or more that will be the point marked by me to cash out my coins and earn a lot and more over don’t [put ears on rumors this gives huge blows of loss.

Yeah... Just noticed that the Bitcoin market dominance has crossed the 51% mark. And this is happening after many months, especially after the meteoric rise of Ethereum in April 2017. I am just hoping that the trend will continue in the future and once again Bitcoin will cross the 90% mark in market dominance, just like the case in 2016.

Since this is already a 1 month old thread then those days do really have still price on lower range but if you do see on the recent prices as of now.Bitcoin is already recovering up already which i do suspect because of the upcoming fork on this month and into the next one but now most alts are on red as of now which i do suspect that holders are cashing out their alts to buy more bitcoin because on the upcoming fork.This is a usual stuff in the market which isnt really surprising anymore and the best thing to do now is to go with the flow and making money later on.
