The site is known, reputable and even though It's never recommended to store your bitcoins in an online wallet, they remain a legit service. The funds can't simply disappear, transactions are recorded in the blockchain so If you check the address where your funds were, you will see to what address they were sent exactly and also, blockchain.info don't store the passwords in their database so they can't get to it, scanning your system means nothing, malwares today can be undetectable.

You saw -175$ in your balance or your funds still there but you just got a negative amount?
If it was stolen then there's a record of the transaction made as what mentioned above post. Can you share it to us or post here the transaction ID so people here can know if what's the receiving address of this person who stole your funds.

I've been using blockchain.info and never had a problem with it. Can you post your btc address there so that we can check it?

And also can you support a screenshot of your blockchain.info account that shows -$175?

Blockchain.info is one of the trusted web wallets that many are using and have you ever tried to contact their support? When I've got problems I'm contacting them and they are responding very well.

Blockchain.info is very known and reputable, and they do not have access to your private keys. There a couple things that may have happened here. 1) Occasionally, their nodes are wrong and show a zero-balance or incorrect balance. You can import your private key or wallet seed into another wallet (or manually check your public addresses on another block explorer) to see if this is the case.

Or 2) your computer may have been compromised, allowing hackers access to the private keys via the browser. Or 3) You gave away your recovery seed or password away in a scam. There have been scams going around where the victim is asked to provide password, then change it. Afterwords, the BTC is stolen using the recovery seed.

That is why i never trust any online wallet even they are reputed i will still keep holding my bitcoin in desktop wallet like electrum i never had any issue and never heard that there is someone hack their bitcoin except if your computer had a virus.. but for me almost my pc is protected with kaspersky total.. that honestly protected in any viruses..
If you really want to safe of your coins better to hold bitcoin in electrum..

Just to confirm something here - the funds in your wallet have never been transferred by someone else to another address, is that right?
That would be a definite indicator that some kind of theft happened. However, I have seen that graphical glitch where people's balance on blockchain.info was displayed incorrectly.
Op, instead of complaining here, have you tried to contact Blockchain and talk to their support to find out what is going on?

Not sure if blockchain stole your money. Because i use blockchain web wallet for long time and doesnt face a big problem. If your balance is really disapear (i mean really doesnt have transaction for your $175) then it will be blockchain fault. But if transaction is appear on your  wallet, then people maybe stole it.

Ramkoi, please provide screenshots and other proof of your accusation. But even then, it would be very easy for you to send your BTC to another wallet and accuse anyone to have stolen your coins.

Maybe you really lost most of your money in trading? ;)

Trust me, if there was a major hack that is blockchain.info's fault then everyone would have been affected and everyone would be complaining by now. But the fact that it's just you apparently seem to suggest that it's definitely something on your side.

Firstly, check whether your transactions actually show up. If not then it's probably a problem with syncing with blockchain.info servers, your balance isn't lost.

If you can see the outgoing transaction then post it here. There is a very slight chance we can trace where it went to.

Remember that antivirus scans are not always conclusive. I've stored thousands with blockchain.info in the past before they switched to the new version, without any issues.

It is impossible for them to hack you. All of your information happens on your side, not theirs. It is possible there was some sort of glitch on their side. If you contact them and they discover this they'll refund you.

They wont waste their reputation or credibility for just $175 amount. haha Knowing that blockchain.info is one of the most trusted online web wallet as of now.If you did lost some money then the nearest possible thing that do happen is that someone do have the information regarding on your wallet informations access.Knowing that hacker nowadays do have lots of ways to steal others information without your awareness.Just try to remember on where you did commit such mistake. Blaming blockchain is senseless.

Sort of glitch, I experienced problem with blockchain.info that there's no balance that is appearing and it's just the same with his problem. I tried to contact them and they gave me some instructions and just followed it and everything seems to be working so you don't have to worry about it. They will not steal your -$175 as they earning too much.

Well maybe it was just a glitch and better to contact the support to fix the issue. . or maybe he was joining or and signup to other website and use the same password he use in blockchain it is possible if he is not using any 2fe authetication .

The glitch sometimes happening to me but they are fixing the issue by refreshing and hope that asking them to refresh your account and transaction history .

Not only malware's can steal your passwords. Did you use same username and password on some other sites as well?

Did you protect your account with a 2fa function?

If you not protected your account with 2fa function then mostly someone else hacked your account, not blockchain.info guys. They are making tons of money why they will go for these small amounts.

Still no reply from the poster of this thread. Hey, that's also a possibility that he got phished but no way he's using the right URL "blockchain.info". This is just a glitch and until now ramkoi still no response on this thread so that we will know if everything is fine now or not.

I have the same problem with blockchain.info wallet today...

lots of weird "Sent" transactions in my ledger... for example:

"$18.43 sent to 14 recipients"
"$24.16 sent to 2 recipients"
"$62.99 sent to 16 recipients"

I did NOT send these transactions myself!

as it turns out...

I sent out all my btc from blockchain wallet to another wallet because I got scared!
As soon as I sent it out... the amounts in RED changed to GREEN, but it still showed "SENT" in red (on the left)... so it was mixed up completely!
I re-logged and everything was back to normal! All the sends appear to have been a glitch, I assume because of the high volume of sell off today and yesterday! This does NOT give me a lot of confidence in this wallet.

How the fuck did you miss to mention that you sent out those transactions mate? I'm sure I would remembered  if I sent out 3 or more transactions

Myself, maybe you just wanted to throw a shitty accusation and then trying to take it back, not that claims made by newbies matter at all around here.

At OP, did they sign any contract with you when you first opened your web wallet using their service? even if they steal your coins it's your own fault to

Trust your coins with total strangers.

Hi,

My Blockchain.info account is empty this morning as well.

There's a new wallet in there I don't recognise; Befhan's Gruppe and my account balances are all zero.

There's no transaction history - the recent transaction history just displays a "loading" AJAX spinner.

Does anyone have a blockchain.info email address I can use to contact them?

Never experienced this thing with blockchain.info so they are experiencing some major glitches. Have you ever reported it to them? Just don't store your bitcoins on web wallets as it is not safe, make sure that you have a safe place to put your bitcoins like electrum that's been trusted for desktop wallet users.

If you are trying to get in touch the blockchain's support you can message them using their social media accounts, twitter and facebook

in order to avoid misunderstanding it would be nice if you please more clarified, could be your onlines wallet personal key including the pasword already known by hackers? as we know blockchain can be trusted but we can not deny the security problems onlines wallets  any time can be penetrated by hacker.

In my 2 years of experience wit the blockchain.info wallet,I don't think they would do anything like  that.Of course unless your account has been hacked (not just the account but your computer). It is very easy to know your password if have a keylogger in your computer.Had you download a back-up of your private keys on your local machine ?

OP didn't answer anymore, so it seems, his problem was solved.
Generally the most issues at web wallets lay not in viruses or similar, but in bad password managing. Use other sites with same password, not using 2FA or using weak passwords.

Seriously? And you are blaming blockchain.info for that? Firstly, how secured is your wallet. Do you have a strong password and is 2FA even enabled? Also, do you even trust the antivirus on your system or it is just one of those free antiviruses that detects nothing you are using. You should know that any loophole in your PC or browser with a malware present can easily zap all you have, so question your own security first.

I've been using that wallet for year and a half and I have never had problem with it.
As far as I know wallets don't steal your balance, people do.
So my guess is probably you had keylogger in the past(or maybe you still do and antivirus can't recognize it).

I really wonder! I have been using this website for over 2 years with no issue. I am very sure, his PC was not safe and at least he should have known better than trying to destroy blockchain's reputation for his own mistakes. How are we even sure of his claim? negative amount? How is that even possible?

I don’t understand. Are some people being paid to come here on this forum, open a newbie account and try to destroy blockchain's reputation they have built over the years? If any newbie is experiencing any issue, I believe there are lots of courses on usable security on the web. Maybe they should take a cue.

Everything for to become clear from danger of the Internet in the mining of different viruses and hacking. I plan to use my home computer for commenting and social networks and the net surfing generally, and will be protected clear place. I think such strategy is going to work for protection of my founds.
