When they say they'd burn the tokens those are mostly unsold tokens during the ICO sale so that the only ones circulating would be the ones bought by the investors and those that are given in bounties.

The token burning mean those useless token will be sent to the unknown address which there is no person already had the key to open such address and if the project wants to migrate into another project and they should replace the supply with the new amount.

The token burning means the balance tokens out of total number of tokens which were not issued due to any reason after sales through ICO/airdrop/bounty, so that only circulating supply available in the market and no one dump the coin to manipulate the coin.

It's good that Ico's burn tokens. Less circulating supply is higher token price when hitting the exchanges.

Token burning is sending those coin into unknown address, actually the address is totally unknown or that address has no owner.A few days ago i have seen, OPUS burned about 58,00,00,000 Token/coin. Unfortunately I lost the transaction txd. but the address was like 0xc000000000000000000000000000000000000000, This address has no owner.so its called burning coin.

But I have heard that some of them put unsold tokens on hold. Like freeze them or smth.
