What's the deal this time?  First China ICO ban and now what?  It's been a shitty few months for crypto!!  Is there any clear skies in sight or everything is just crashing and burning into the ground!!?

This time for invest money.But my all money on ico's just buy and sold 1 month later.also they said this is a baloon(haha)

It seems the balloon has already popped!!  This is the worst I've seen this year!!!

But well going back to topic Prices would really be affected specially when there are certain events do happen on this market.China does really have influence when it comes to this cryptoworld knowing that they holding huge funds which if they do decide to ban then pulling out amounts of money will really affect the market.

Yeah, it's been a hard month for cryptos, I don't consider ICO ban to be adverse decision for crypto but it is harming it all the way.
But keep in mind bitcoin was already dead for a dozen of times.

people are just too dramatic to always post such thing and repeating. never see this kind of posts when the price of btc drastically increasing, but when it's decreasing, people goes like crazy.
really, this price movement is such a normal thing considering the price of bitcoin never go up within really short time.

This is just regular baloon popping situation. Nothing bad will happen. Market will recover in couple of months sadly. It won't be that quick. But as I said no altcoins or bitcoins are dead. Ethereum is still alive too.

Maybe this month the dark clouds cover the sun in the crypto world. But remember dark clouds will not always cover the sun. So every time there is a falling hole there must be thousands of ways to rise. I am sure once in the next few months crypto market will shine again and many ico start grow when the eyes of the day begin to shine

You are aware that the bear market that followed the 2013 run-up (partly fueled by MtGox) lasted much longer than a couple months?
I wouldn´t be so confident that we are going to experience a falling BTC price only for a few months. Depending on
the outcome of the November fork anything is possible, including a huge drop. Some people even expect a huge
Bitcoin Cash pump near the fork in order to take advantage of the volatile market situation.

For now the crypto situation is messy because someone is making a joke that wants to drop Bitcoin, but I do not think it should panic, because everything is only temporary, maybe in a few days it will turn stable and can be overcome quickly

There is a reason behind everything and the current price drop is because of the statement by Jamie stating that Bitcoin is fraud.
So people are panicking and selling their coins. A few days more and then Bitcoin will start to rise again.

Yeah and concurrently Charlie Lee makes a very bad joke. Not sure which of the both made the market go more down. Anyway, most analysts say we have like 10 days, and than we try to break 5k BTC again. If you look at the whole market cap, there is nothing to worry at all. We had a lot of grow this year so it is a normal pull back. Of course nobody knows but I think the best is yet to come. Regulations are awesome to get the big investors in the game. If that happens and i.e. ETFs are created everybody in the crypto world will have a big smile.

There is no need for worry. The cryptoworld has always been like this. It's just a matter of time before it heals again and it will eventually rise higher than it ever did.

I do agree with you there, but somehow this time it's kinda different. The banks are really trying to hurt the crypto world but it will eventually heal and rise again like you said before !

If you have a long perspective you should just relax and don't worry.

Bitcoin is not going anywhere and the price will most likely be much higher in a  few years. Short term don't  matter. Just don't loose your money to scams. Most of the alt coins and tokens will become worthless, but a few will outperform bitcoin tremendously. Pick wisely. :D

It went down after CEO of JP Morgan, USA's largest bank said something FUD on bitcoin. That it will go down and is some kind of nonsense internet money. Experienced investors especially crypto people are happy on this since they can buy some. Either Dimon wants to buy at cheaper rate or he is warring crypto as it is decentralized. Something centralized banks and rich people are against since they cannot control it.

With bitcoins, all prices dropped where the first to drop was ETH. The price was above $311 yesterday and today it's below $270 and if you see coinmarket cap, mostly all the coins there are negative. It's been the worse month compared to August when all the prices were high. ICO ban, exchanges getting banned and plus all the FUD has totally ruined the market and buyers are doing well by purchasing coins at the least price and dropping the price even further. BCH too was worth 0.3-0.4 last month, it's below 0.12 today.

Exactly, it's in all the newspapers today. He's just freaking out of the cryptocurrenies. Banks have been at the top of the hierarchy for too many years.

I think there's no reason to panic. If you take a look back, just a year ago the Bitcoin price was about $600. So, even if the price drops to $2400, which I don't think it will, it would be still x4 in one year.
After such a big rise, there must be a correction, it's just natural.
There is also an option that some influential people and institutions are just spreading FUD to get in at lower price.

September was a bad month for the crypto world market. It is making me think of the event 11/9. But this is also an opportunity to invest, because I think everything will begin to stabilize over into the next month. We want to break 4xxx $ / BTC .

That's another plans for those bigger whales whose having huge funds in china, and this showed greedy acts which has really affected the economy of bitcoin so far. Even though it's not having good scenario this will really give another chance to other new investors to invest, so it's not just the end of everything and we can gain our good price soon at the peak of our goals.

Everyone else is panicking about someone trolling twitter. You can join them or use this opportunity to get some cheap bitcoins into your wallet. It's your choice.

The FUD is really messing with the market. Especially with both Financial side and the crypto side, the market is struggling. But I have no doubt this will only last for a brief time. It will bounce back soon but no one can tell the time.

In my opinion all alts will first crash with decreasing price of bitcoin and then after about a months time they will start to recover.

Now its down, tommorrow is up, and that is gonna repeat itself, big thing is people who want more power and money manipulating prices, look at Charlie Lee that suckers spreading FUD and saying its a joke or regret his tweet, second on long term I think crypo is gonna die desperately, on long term also governments intervering in crypto is gonna be big time loss for everyone, imagine they are gonna ban exchanges, I think surely the prices will never go up if these suckers ban exchanges.

Invest in a project that has been around for a while and you should be okay.  A lot of panic are from newbie's who have invested in unstable projects or they bought at the top with their limited funds.  People make mistakes when they run low in money.  They end up selling when they should really be buying.

Yeah good to get a strategie and try to learn to make profit when the whole market goes red. I still need some time to calculate against BTC and not EUR because it doesn't reflect my real gains/losses. Maybe you lose money (short term) but you get experience either way.

Also because of the panic about the Chineses, but yes, i agree that soon bitcoin will start to rise again, it is just matter of time.
I remember the first time i bought Monero, it was at $19 each one because of a huge dump, but i only bought one, and the next day it was like $35, that was insane. But it happens with all cryptos, i am so acostumbrated to the dumps/pumps right now, so i dont feel panic when i see one of this situations.

For me this is the best time to invest in bitcoin or in any other altcoin as price has gone down and can recover back in next couple of days so we should not miss this opportunity of buying bitcoins and investing in multiple altcoins to make good profits in coming days.

Crypto market is always like that , one day down and other day will bounce, nothing to worry just buy and hold for a couple of month, you will get good profit buddy.

It's just day traders making money. If you don't want to play their game, just hodl.

Just keep on holding there's nothing to worry if  you are a long term investor in crypto currency, you only need to be patient and just don't be affected with what's happening now. Yes nothing to worry, it is the normal market of cryptocurreny that may dump and pump. But I believe price will recover again and we could get profit. So holding is my choice to earn profit.

These guys don't know anything about how cryptocurrency works.  They think it's just so called "fake" money and they get pissed when they see people who have invested in cryptos for a few months to a year make much more than than guys that have been in stocks for years.

The market is really messy at the moment, too many rumors going on. If you are long time believer just store the coins in the hardware wallet and forget it, set a reminder to check in 3 years!

Holding for long term is always going to have a good look in the future. This has been proven in time and myself did experienced it already. BTC rose from $1800-$5000 in the course of 30 days or so. It's bound to have a 50% fib re-tracement to $3900, poss 66% retracement to $3600. Until it breaks below $3600 and stays there, day candle closes well below that price, will it turn from Bull to Bear.

Holding coins for a long time will never give us a loss. but which coin you are holding is important. Suppose if you buy some shit coins and hold it for a long time there is no use if they shut down means that's it your investment will be gone. But if you hold Bitcoins or ETH or other altcoins then it is profitable. I am holding bitcoins, ETH, waves, NEO. Don't know how much profit I will get in future.

first it was the china banning ICO, that affect the current price of all crypto which china have a large no. of funds on it and miners on their country as I have read they have cheap electricity. Next Chinas shutting down local exchange which everyone last week are doing panic sell but as of now I don't see any changes in some exchange managing by Chinese company. but I think this one is the big factor affecting the price of bitcoin the speech of JP MORGAN CEO Jaime DIMON that bitcoin is a fraud that eventually blown up. This one person who are knowledgeable in different aspect of financial economy attack bitcoin as he see that bitcoin is a threat on their business as it grow and increase it price last month.

There are others who are taking advantage of the situation by making money out of the fluctuations in price.

I think it's because both  JP Morgan's announcement and the uncertain policy from Chinese government caused this price decreasing. But I believe the market will recovery soon.

But what do the more experienced guys always say on here? They always remark about peaks and troughs, ups and downs and all that, its a open market after all its alll good. They also told me never bet more than you can lose, most important thing I read from the guys and gals on here.

btcc china will close its service as of September 30th, okcoin and huobbi are also consolidating with the government for discussion of a memorandum of understanding on stricter regulation, what will happen with the last two markets will determine the price of bitcoin next, other than that the bitcoin decrease trend also because of the news effect of jamie simons-jp morgan who considers bitcoin is a fraud.

every coins in the market have in red situations but i am sure there will be any coins is in green. if we don't want to be panic, then we can sell all of our coins and just hold fiat then if the price is reach the bottom price, then we can buy again with cheap price. or if we don't want to sell, then i am suggesting to close your browser, don't open on the market, doing another thing so you don't disturb if there is any down price for the coins.

It is the normal votality of the bitcoin that may down and up. I think price will settle to high again and everything will recover to its normal.

China knows that it's too late to take place in blockchain area. Russia and USA controls this area and China wants to stop them. "If I lose, You will lose too!" We don't make panic and HODL!

I think there is tons of clear sight ahead. Now that the China news is behind us we can move forward. Chinese investors and hodlers will just move their volume over to other international exchanges. Also, Metropolis coming for Ethereum.

So now all the coins are moving up as Btc have started going up. It seems that in some time today it will cross 4k mark and back to the business like light week .

I will have to agree with you that its been a shitty month within the crypto world, but this shouldn't make us panic, we know that this is how the market goes, they will always recover. We should actually consider this moment as an opportunity to buy more into these currencies, you shouldn't panic and sell at times likes these, unless if sacrificing for another coin. The skies have always been clear for bitcoin and the entire crypto. There has to be some clouds sometimes as well as rains. These are necessary parts and parcels of it. There has to be some low times for those who want to join and ride the crypt train. That is buying time for all of us especially them.

If China holds only 20% of bitcoin users worldwide and takes a negative attitude, then 80% will take the opposite step and restore the market. China is only able to provide temporary effects, actually reducing bitcoin prices are also needed for market corrections and profits from various parties. If bitcoin continues to increase it will not be evenly distributed and there is a tendency to be a premium currency and not affordable for everyone. The price down is the trader's chance to buy back.

USA and Japan took large amounts of Chinese Cryptocurrencies. Nobody is ever talking about Japan, even though they are huge, maybe even more than China.

Nobody needs Chinese idiots trying to manipulate and constantly FUD the market anyway. I think the cryptospace is better off without them. And they will most likely regret regulating too much at a later stage. I suspect many Chinese people will FOMO back in again after a while when they see that the world keeps spinning even without their involvement.

Maybe you're not panicking, because you knew what really is the concept of Bitcoin and even if China banned the cryptos and affects the values, it will eventually return to where it should be. Although Chinese people are good business mans and good investors aswell, we can't blame them if they've suddenly banned it. Somehow they have some sort of reason why, since all the cryptos are decentralized currencies, if you know what I mean.

A. Bitcoin's price does seem to affect all alt coin pricing one way or another.
B. There is no need to panic. There never is. Panicking will only make things worse under all circumstances.
C. Prices will re-bound. This is natural.
Personally, I believe that cryptocurrency is still at its infancy. There is a long way to go still. It just needs some regulation, including ICOs.

It is true that it is quite normal for crypto-currency to experience changes apart through the development it could have in the future. For me, it is better to have a drop of price in terms of bitcoin or any other form of crypto-currency because it is actually a vital part on the development it could have in the future in terms of transactions, investments or even in the form of trading.

It is the opposite now all coins value are going up steadily so buying is now on demand and hoarding prevails. I just feeling sad of those panic people who sell out their bitcoins easily now they will purchase it again at the current value. Anyway its still not too late to reconsider buying it again because soon it will become $5000 at the end of the year so be on board before its too late.

Answering your question retroactively--a huge pile of FUD came out and it was able to keep the broad market down for approximately one whole week. That's it. One week. With FUD from some of the biggest players and heaviest hitters in the world.

You should be patient and wait for some good outcome on what China did. I think that China made a bad mistake of banning ICOs in their country. People shouldn't worry a lot because majority of bitcoin or crpytocurrency users are not from China, the biggest is on Japan and everywhere else on the world. So, don't panic with just China banning ICOs on their country, it's their loss, not ours.

Look like there is a new panic selling around. I do not care much about it. I am still holding my bitcoin and also my altcoin. There are many reasons why people sell their coin but for me, there is no point selling these things because in the future, I will be rich thanks to them

This is true, especially in bitcoin. When bitcoin goes down, I always think that it is an opportunity to buy them while it is cheap. I never panic sell, always buy the dip. This can also be applied to ETH and other solid coins out there.

Hopefully this will all settle and things will calm down. THe whole hting is crazy to say the least. These are rough times for bitcoin.

I went on exchanges right after seeing your thread and not a single coin dropped. Not any of any consequence. Bitcoin is holding steady plus the big 30 are sitting there exactly where they need to be. Where do you get your information and why do you make these statements like this ? Nothing has fallen.

China does have an influence on this cryptographic world knowing if they have a big budget if they decide to attract.

Yes this is very reasonable for the present condition. Btc is overloading bad issues. Especially for the case of lid exchange in china country. Perhaps for early next year altcoin prices will rise again and more stable.

I think it all depends on the 2 biggest coin that is bitcoin and ethereum, we all know that 2 coins are the price is drop and almost all coin trading with 2 coins so if the price goes down then automatically coin price also down.

I have been into crypto for over a year now, and this September was worst month so far. So many bad news from China, then JP Morgan bla bla's. I was thinking that btc fork on 1. August would be the worst thing happened, but September made me thinking that crypto world is still at it's begining. We need additional 3-5 years for crypto to be ready for mass adoption.

Some Coins : on their Exchange, prices are still the same, but on Coinmarketcap: it decreased more than 80%. Then, on the next day, while on their Exchange, prices are still the same, but on Coinmarketcap: it increased more than 1.000%.

Is this considered as a kind of manipulation ?

You mean lots of similar thread like this, well anyway. go back to the main topic, it is true that China is very influential in terms of getting profit in bitcoin or crypto world, every time there is something they want to be happen its happening where bitcoin always got affected by it but its only a bit then it resume after a couple of weeks or after 2 months, something like that.

Yay! Everything is green again. China didn't even effect it that much, IMO. Just a small correction.

It is relative to Bitcoin. I find it moving more than one altcoin when the price receives a sharp reversal with the trend that it's going in.

We should not depend everything from china, how about Japan and Korea they're both actively using bitcoin and even ico they also been active for most recent months. People should be encourage again and don't panic, every situations here were now neutralized and we need to be more focus don't ever sell the assets you have now specially the coins you hold. Be positive and this is the best time to invest for those who haven't take the previous opportunity while price was at cheaper value.

Haha, default price of Ethereum is $300 in this year, I am sure that! No reason can makes the price of Ethereum still under $300, specialy it will be change to PoS system soon, earn Ethereum from PoS wallet always good news for its community.

This is all about the chinese banning the cryptocurrency. They are the reasons why all the crytos are now dropping. Before they banned it in their country all the values of cryptos are very huge, but look at it now, because a lot of chinese are using cryptocurrency and losing then is also a big problem to us because it is like lossing a costumer. I hope chinese people who are using cryptocurrency will find ways to access this even if it is illegal in their country. It is hard to say but we need them in order for the cryptos to rise again.

Probably the cause of the downs is that the coin holders are trying to sell their coins once they meet the sales targets when they buy cheap. Then sell when the price is high. Because of the high price they sell their coins
to make a profit.

Well I think you should do your assignment more often. As far as I know the increase of value for Bitcoin affects all the altcoins, it will have a significant effect on it. According to the charts the buy and sale of Bitcoin would alter the altcoins. If analyze it more often you'll get what I mean to say.

Bitcoin is fall down today, maybe because it was experience of unexpectedly problem. But don't worry with regards to the price, because I'm pretty sure that this bitcoin were not able to decrease their price continuously. Maybe they were created newly strategies on how they were sustain the continues increasing of bitcoin value in the market.

Having a decrease of a 10% is nothing unusual for the crypto market. You have to remember that the crypto market is general is valued only at about 150 billion, in business terms that nothing! The entire market cap of the S&P is a couple of trillion which literally dwarfs that of BTC or all the crypto's combined. What this means is, that investments of a couple of millions (inflows/outflows) move these markets by a lot! When you put a billion in a trillion dollar index the price barely moves, but if you put the same money is a 100 billion dollar industry it does move (to be precise by 1%) but you get the idea. As time passes and the crypto market becomes more matures, you will see that things start balancing out - there won't be the level of volatility you're seeing today and that will attract a lot of traditional investors to get into crypto trading, because the technology will have matured by then and lessons will be learned.

We are just beginning and it's a matter of time.. in less than 10 years.. cryptomarket will probably be bigger than the S&P.. mark my words!

I think that the actual dump of BTC is the consequence of a comprehension from shortterm traders, that the price was too high related to the hope for a possible quick profit from the fork. Everyone who bought BTC for more than 5.600$ could earn nothing more than losses, if his plan (or the financial need behind this plan) was to cash out quick, and if BTC won't recover that quick and the price for BTCGold will stay under 200$, which might be a possible option. A lot of BTC holders could become forced bag holders. And with the second upcoming fork of BTC - and the expected history repeating - this group might grow in the same speed as their frustration. Maybe this is a chance to release the altcoin market a bit more from the connection to BTC. But what is happening right now starts tiring me. Just waiting for a settled market and trying not to lose the hope in smooth times...

Not sure, we have too many cryptocurrencies at now. To be honest, I think only Bitcoin, Ripple, Monero or Ethereum are enough to our life. Even sometimes, I do not think Bitcoin really a good choice for us in future to using daily.

It will surely happen just be more patience but if you still have your buying power then grab this opportunity to accumulate more coins at cheap price. Exactly, have a vision and trade/invest for 5 years or 10 years and not for 3 weeks. Red days/weeks are amazing opportunities to buy low. There will be a lot of more run-ups, you just have to be in before. If you don't have any money to spend, take your time for research and study.

Whenever BTC goes up, alts go down. Whenever BTC goes down alts go down. The only time alts go up, is when BTC is stable. Market is too much tied up with BTC. I was hoping that if ethereum overtakes BTC, we might see more stable alts.

Oh i already notice that,  if you have a lot of altcoins you should wait the price of bitcoin stable, so there is a chance that you can buy altcoin while bitcoin is price is rising ,because alts go down. What ever it is make sure that you are always updated in your coins.
