Title: what is the purpose of using gen1 pcie slots with reguler pcie slots and risers Post by: speedyb on September 13, 2017, 05:43:55 PM i was wondering as i also use my computer for internet activities movies an such as im home alot. was wondering is the reason people use pcie gen1 is it for lower power or is it for compatability when running alot of graphics cards? i have several cards 4 of them with 2 in reguler 16x or 8x lanes. wondered what the benifit is with setting everything to gen1
