Semi doomsday scenario.
A lot of users rely on coins for day to day expenses.
What is the source is gone? What if trading won't earn you more than pennies? A post would be rewarded with half a cent?

Why isn't "I'll buy a shit-ton" an optional?

Surely it would be really frustrating if it fell to 100 USD, since I bought most of my bitcoins at around 2600 USD but selling at 26 times lower price would be the stupidest idea possible. I would forget about bitcoins for a few months or years and I am sure it will rise again some day. Remember, Bitcoin was 1000 USD in December 2013 and then it fell to 225 USD and it was under 300 USD for the entire year 2015. It looked dead but it started growing again and look at it now with all time high of 4900 USD.

This isn't even a realistic scenario without the internet coming to a catastrophic end. Either you are trolling, FUDing or you're severely lacking the ability to use logic.

Firstly I'd consider buying a rope because my investment in bitcoin would obviously have taken a huge nose dive. Once I'd probably got drunk AF & done a lot of cocaine I'd compose myself & buy a shit tonne more in an attempt to recover losses.

If Bitcoin fell to 100 I would a) still be making a significant profit over my initial entry point and b) buy so many coins my trezor cracks in half.

I am holding half in fiat and half in crypto right now so if bitcoin will go to around $100 than I might face huge loss but it is quite unlikely. I will buy back all those cheap bitcoins with whatever fiat I am holding right now.

Bitcoin might not go below $3000 on this correction round.

I am not bothered at all, because I already tripled my initial investment and I have taken 100% profits from that. I would not

have gained these profits from any other investment, even if I invested in something else for years. I also have a lot of assets

to show for the effort I put in. I bought these assets from the profits I made. Bitcoin was good to me over the last couple of

years.  ;)

I will buy a shitload.  ;D This is the only way I can afford 100 BTC.

First, I didn't invest much $$ in bitcoin. I mostly earned it.
Second, such scenario will not happen.
If anything dramatic happen with bitcoin, surely I will not wait that btc fall so much :)

i have been buying bitcoin ever since it was less than $300. i buy bitcoin every week that i have some extra money for a little less than 2 years. i also buy whenever there is a dip like this. and i have been holding all of what i have bought so far.

i sometimes sell some on tops where i feel the rally is at an end or i see the start of FUD and buy back in the dip like what i did last week and now waiting to buy back when i am more certain.

even if you ignore the last paragraph i think you can calculate how much "in red" i am when i started at $300 ;)
i can also put a reminder in my calendar right now with the link to this topic to bump it in 6 months and tell you again how much "in red" i will be by then too.

Same as one of the posters above. Not bothered. Even if bitcoin goes to zero, I have already taken profits multiple times the amount I have invested. I'd prolly be selling some on the way down. And I would be more than happy to "buy a shit ton" more if it were to go to $100. Hell, I know I'd be buying if the price fell below $2000, for sure below $1000.

I really appreciate somebody who is being honest, not all those that behind a keyboard they claim they have a 27" you know what but in reality they are virgins.

If you look at old signature campaign threads you will see that when bitcoin was less valuable the rates per post were higher in terms of bitcoin, so if the price of bitcoin goes lower the rates are going to diminish in terms of the amount of dollars you make but are going to up in terms of bitcoin.

I can buy more than 100 bitcoin if bitcoin will ever reach that low, I don't want to miss the chance of being millionaire within next few years.

I can wait for 5years+ with all those cheap bitcoin I will buy at that price level, so that I can be millionaire.  ;D ;D

That will hurt. My job pays bitcoin and as of now I have felt the price drop badly. I used to get $50 every thursday but today I have only cashed out $42. The fact that I had left my day job for bitcoins - it would be so damn hard for me to go back... well, that's another story and kind of off topic.

Anyway, I had stopped trading some time ago and just have to HODL my coins. Well, I hope these NEWBIES would stop making trollish threads, though.

It's a hard scenario. Maybe i will to buy a ton but without investing what i can't afford to loose.

I think that the biton's course will never go down to the $ 100 mark. However, if this happens, it will be a lucky chance to buy it for every possible free of charge. Given that currently there are no objective grounds for its fall, and the events in China are temporary, it will invariably return its positions and continue to grow.

I will dream that the btc goes down to $ 100, unfortunately I do not believe absolutely ... But if it was, I sell my house and my apartments to make an all in! That's for sure what gonna happen with me. I have learnt my lesson now and with past experience I'm completely gonna rely on bitcoin. That's the opportunity from bitcoin for those who regretted the past when bitcoin was worth couple of dollars. As if now bitcoin is getting dumped for the sake of profits that we will earn once it gets back up.

If this case will happen then I think there is no reason for me to stay in bitcoin if it is not profitable anymore.

I will buy a lot from their hands of course it will be interesting when bitcoin prices will indeed drop to $ 100, but I think otherwise the bitcoin price will go to high prices in the end of the year :)

It would probably make me buy some more. My crypto assets only comes from mining and other services.. so I havent put alot of my FIAT money into it. Life will go on but will for sure hold a "what the f" just happened-face for a few weeks :P

I will keep holding my bitcoin for long term and i will not sell any of my bitcoin because i believe that holding is the best thing to do in any crises in bitcoin and if i have a chance to buy more bitcoin then i will do that and i will just always go hold for long and buy more bitcoin so i can become a successful bitcoin investor.

That show to us the dangers of relying only in bitcoin as a source of income, bitcoin has not reached the point where you can depend solely in bitcoin, you need to have another source of income, go back to your job and if you cannot do that then get another one.

When people want me to daydream, sometimes I really wish that happens. Like you, I will be also filling up my pockets with bitcoins. Most of the experienced traders and true bitcoiners would be going to do this and then sit back in silence, waiting for the value to increase as it would.

All things are possible therefore if this happen i think i already sold my bitcoins and altcoins. From $4,000 this month which is the highest average value then will start of declining, the value of $1000 alone will be a huge gap everybody will sure sell out before it becomes $100. I'm going to be crazy for sure. :P

if the bitcoin price is down to $ 100 I will buy it from my savings so far if the $ 100 price I can have 3 btc and I will keep it for long term and certainly hope it will rise back to the price of $ 4000 and I will also get a doubled profit  ;D

I probably won't sell because I use money that I don't need for crypto. I'll just hold and see where it takes me.

If this will happen I would obviously reduce my time spent here, at least until the huge disappointment will pass.
Of course, I will move forward, it was good as long as it lasted, but yeah, it's a dream that'll get crushed (no, not to get rich, the one to help me buy a house for my family with Bitcoin).

The most of my holdings I good for under 2 Dollars. For me the price is really not relevant.

I bought because I believe in the Tech and I am not like the most on crypto to get a Lambo,

I think this is the best thing that could happen to me pesonally...if this would happen i would invest all my money in buyin boitcoins and hodl them of course. But i wont trouble my mind with this one because i know it is an impossible scenario.

Such fall is unlikely and may occur only is something very serious happens (a critical vulnerability found, etc.). In such case buying a lot of coins may be unwise. Personally, I don't have much and the majority of my coins were mined years ago, when the price was below $100 (and below $10 some of the time). I do not rely on them in any way, so it would be very unfortunate, but would not affect my present well-being.

If it reach $100, it's means that something wrong that triggered the bear market. If it reach to the point i will probably abandon bitcoin and back to trading stock because it took a long time to recover from bear market.

$100? with this situation, even if bitcoin price goes to that price it could be really temporary, because people with intention of buying low would bring the price of bitcoin up. lol

It will never go to that price and if it does, I will commit sucide. All of my money is located in bitcoin and if bitcoin turns into $100, I will lose everything ;) But I never fail to believe in bitcoin. I know that its price will continue to rise since 9-years is enough for people to know how awesome bitcoin can be and how we can do with bitcoin. The blockchain technology will make our world better and everything will be faster thanks to Satoshi

If Bitcoin went to $100 it wouldn't bother me at all since I only invested what I could lose. However, I would buy as much BTC as possible, and wait till the price went back up.  :)

Disagree there is a lot more LTC than BTC in order for LTC to reach 1500 per coin the market cap for LTC will need to be 28 times the current market cap and you think that is going to happen in just 2 years, when we already had a huge bull run in this year? That is impossible.

I will buy a lot of bitcoin from their investments for sure it will be good for me if the price of the bitcoin will fell down to 200$ because it will make me earn more profit when I will buy at this time and will sell my bitcoin at the time when the price will go high so! The chance of the loss in bitcoin is very low most of the time it goes up and makes good profit for the investors.

I directly close my computer and take an oath where I promise myself that I will never check its price for 6 months. I just wait patiently.

Bitcoin @ $100?

This would be a serious situation.  What has caused this crash?  War?  If it was war I probably would be too distracted to think about bitcoin.  Maybe the internet goes down and causes this problem.

In any case I would not sell.  I would wait for it to recover.  If everyone stopped being interested in bitcoin I guess that would make me the only person interested in bitcoin.  It is a fascinating technology!

If we knew bitcoin graph history we should know that its increasing, it experienced some drops nut never too far from its peak,  if it will srop that much, since I believe btc will be thw future currency, i will definitely keep it for eternity until it reaches top.

He will not fall to $ 100, I think it's impossible. Too dense, he has infiltrated the world economy. For this to happen, there must be some incredible event. It is worth preparing - you need to diversify your money to protect your contribution, and you will have time to transfer money to FIAT.

It totally can. China slashed it by 30% with just a few new rules. There are factors outside our (by our I mean the users) control that could get it to drop below $2k. I agree that it's not that likely but it's absolutely possible.

That scenario is very possible. All of bitcoin users think that bitcoin will always increase its price but no one is thinking that is actually possible for bitcoin price to fall almost instantly to 100. If governments and banks will start banning bitcoin this scenario will be 100% real wich I hope is not going to happen

Looking at the facts how bitcoin is growing, I can certainly say that for a long time there will not be any problems with it, the only question is what will be with the course, that's the main question.

You are stating scenario of a disaster and i think you know it well that how this can effect us, may be some of us will get a heart attack because of this downfall  ;D kidding. Like all other users to overcome the loss I will buy as much as i can and will wait for the price to rise high again.

That would be great for me because I get paid in BTC for the work that I do so when the price continues to rise to it's true potential it'll be like I bought back in 2013.
