Title: ASUS B250 Mining is on Newegg

Wow, I want this.

The 3 EATX connections on the board is very cool. Wonder if you could do 19 GPU on a Celeron or Pentium processor or you'd need something better. Also has a Bios better suited to a miner.

Interesting that they have the 19 PCI-E slots but specify that they support "up to 16" cards.

I do like the multi power supply connections, should make coordinating the multiple power supplys such a high GPU count rig would need trivial.

If I ever started building riser rigs, I'd likely go with this board JUST for that reason.

It's a typo it should say "supports up PCI-E x16 mode". It does have 19 PCI-E slots, 1 3.0 x16 slot and 18 3.0 x1 slots. Obviously only on Linux, since Windows is limited to 8 of each AMD + Nvidia. Only 90 day warranty according to Newegg.

Code:
Warranty

Limited Warranty period (parts): 90 days
Limited Warranty period (labor): 90 days

Damn jealous.

I don't have the room, money, or probably enough breakers in my small apartment for one right now. I'd have to go 1060's or 1050ti to make it work.

I am curious what kind of processor would be sufficient to manage all the gpus.

With current GPU's only producing 80 cents each per day after electric/fees, don't think this thing is in my future.

This is just the beginning, it will get worse hehe, soon miners will be making only $0.05 per card hehe

Would this work if you only have one or two PSUs or do you think you would need to have at least three?

I guess you can however this is what they recommend, the psu1 handles 7 cards, the psu2 handles 6 cards and the psu3 handles 6 cards. The ideal here is 16 cards, 8 amd + 8 nvidia + igpu.

You must have some insanely expen$ive electric costs - or some very inefficient or low-performance GPUS.

It should work with 1, but why bother with this board on that low of a GPU count?

I ask because I've recently bought two 2400w server PSUs and I'm wondering if it will still be compatible with this board. I guess probably yes.

I agree now that max with this board at current rates you can make 450 USD in a month. It's not worth to build a mining rig which would cost much more than this.

On the other hand though, I as a firm believer of bitcoin price going up after a few years I would build a rig with this motherboard, I don't care that I am at a loss in the beginning , who knows how much a bitcoin is worth after a few years so if you believe that bitcoin price should go up, you can start mining bitcoin with this board.

For the time being consider this money as lost in order to not feel stressed out.

has anyone heard of the motherboard that biostar was trying their luck with that supported 104 gpu's?

I did calculations on 3 different coins and the lowest amount of profit I saw was $650 and that was at expensive ($0.12) power. Where do you get the 450 number?

yea the slots are plentiful but that doesn't mean you won't need dual power supplies or something more substantial to support the cards you are plugging into this bad boy

It was a combination of motherboard AND a bunch of extra cards.

I believe the actual number was 119 - 7 boards at 17 cards each - but THAT I might be misremembering a bit.
