Title: Remember how I was critical of 5830's for $160? Post by: AngelusWebDesign on June 24, 2011, 03:45:43 AM Well, I just took a gander at eBay, and let me tell you, that's even worse!
As P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute." I'd like to know what these cards are supposed to do besides Bitcoin mining, because I have several! Apparently I don't realize what all they can do for you. Because for Bitcoin mining (in about 6 hours, after the difficulty reset) they will make you about 0.257 BTC a day, or $4.01 (when BTC is 15.60) or $3.54 after electricity is taken out. $200 for a card? $350 for a card? Come on, you gotta be joking me! It's a 5830, not a 5870! Matthew Title: Re: Remember how I was critical of 5830's for $160? Post by: fcmatt on June 24, 2011, 04:45:28 AM the average price of a 5830 selling on ebay is below 160 based on a quick glance at completed listings.
just because a few people pay more does not mean much. it has always been like that on ebay for similar items. Title: Re: Remember how I was critical of 5830's for $160? Post by: TurdHurdur on June 24, 2011, 04:49:59 AM I remember that locked thread, yeah.
