Title: readable bitaddress.org code?
Post by: glub0x on September 14, 2017, 10:32:28 PM
Hello,
last time i was building some paper wallet and i was wondering about how much i have to trust bitaddress.org? The answer is actually quite a lot. The  site could generate fake address once in a while so even offline you are far from being protected. This would be hard to detect.
Then i tried to look the source code, i'm no .js guru and didn't want to spends  days ( week? ) to understand everything so i gave up.

So my question is :
is there a simple site, eventually documented, so that one could look through the source code without much hassle and be sure that the program does what it is supposed to? Maybe a over simplified bitaddress ...

How is that even possible, especially offline? I used it offline for long and never encountered a fake address!

Yes it is recommended that you generate your keys offline when you use this website. This way you are sure that no one knows what address was generated from that site.
