Title: Need .08 BTC. with form of collateral
Post by: for3xX on September 15, 2017, 04:12:44 PM
Will pay $100 up front today to anybody willing to lend me .08 BTC.

Loan amount asking: .08 BTC

Total repayment amount of loan: $350 USD by Monday, September 18, 2017 ($100 + $250 which includes interest)  I feel that it's fair I pay a higher rate because somebody is willing to lend to somebody not familiar with bitcointalk.

Reason for loan: Business startup processes and fees

I will answer questions respectively and to the best of my ability.  if interested, please contact me or comment!! I can go into more detail. Thank you for your time.

I am able and can definitely show good feedback/reviews with Paxful account.

Take care.

You will need collateral worth 0.08 x 1.2 (or greater) for this loan to be filled. Because of the enormous dives in bitcoin value recently, lenders may want the loan repaid using the equation 0.08 + interest and not a flat fiat amount of $350.

I'm not sure how paying $100 upfront would be considered collateral and why you would proceed in this manner. Why then not borrow $250 instead if you have $100 at your disposal for the loan purpose you mentioned above.

Reputational ranks and feedback/reviews on other sites are rarely considered collateral or guarantees here, unfortunately.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  I know it sounds confusing, but like a mortgage, I thought by putting down 20%, that my offer was considered reasonable.  I'm glad you responded because I didn't know how to approach the situation.  I'm sorry that it came off strange!  My savings account would also be collateral, but it's not fair value.  However, I'm glad I could learn from this experience and know what to expect going forward.  Thanks again.

No it's not like a mortgage you are confussing yourself and not us.
In which place of the world you will give 20%, of the 100% plus that you want to take as a Loan?! Your offer is not reasonable at all. In fact it sounds more like an insane one.

If you don't know how to approach the situation (?) read the stickies of this section.
Although, it's not so hard to understand what Collateral stands for.

No, it's not a bad offer.  I got what I needed and I'm all set.  I didn't realize this community was so hostile.  I might as well just avoid this place.  Some of you are wonderful and others are just ignorant, rude, and mean.  I'd like to ask a moderator to delete my account as it's not needed anymore.  I don't feel comfortable using such a website with these people around.  Goodbye.

Good riddance!  You scammers are a dime a dozen.

No one will delete your account, but you can change your email to a fake one, and change your password to something complex and forget it.  :)

snip ignorant, rude, and mean.
The better adjective would be: cautious, frank and honest plus realistic.
I don't feel comfortable using such a website with these people around.  Goodbye.
Just like in any community, you cannot be liked by everyone. Even the people who give free money get some eyebrows raised. But if you live in a Wonderland, perhaps better stay there. Goodbye :)

no one will trust a newbie asking for loan without a valid collateral, go find a valid collateral if you want to get a loan on this forum.
