Title: Powering an EBIT E9 Post by: Und3rd0g on September 15, 2017, 06:41:56 PM Does anyone know if the EBIT E9 can be powered by 2 different PSUs? I don't have any available 220v sockets and was thinking to power it with 2 PSU's plugged into two different 110 circuits. Any thoughts/comments appreciated!

Do you mean Ebit E9 6.3 Th/s miner? Or do you mean Ebit E9 Plus 9Th/s miner? This is for the Ebit E9 6.3 Th/s miner. With these instructions you can power the Ebit E9 6.3 Th/s miner with two power supplies. Here's a picture of the Ebit E9 miner with my tips for the PSU configuration: https://i.imgur.com/S07Dm0o.jpg (https://i.imgur.com/S07Dm0o.jpg) If you have the Ebit E9 Plus, I can give you new tips. What would you recommend for the wattage of each PSU? I believe the required power is ~ 1350W. I would recommend buying two pieces HP DPS-750 RB power supplies with breakout board and PCI-E power cables. There a kit just like this for sale at the Parallelminer.com http://www.parallelminer.com/product/platinum-94-1500-watt-power-supply-kit-for-antminer-d3-dash-110v120v/ (http://www.parallelminer.com/product/platinum-94-1500-watt-power-supply-kit-for-antminer-d3-dash-110v120v/) Really reasonably priced and the platinum rated power efficiency (94%) is really nice. Title: Re: Powering an EBIT E9 Post by: HagssFIN on September 16, 2017, 10:58:44 AM If you have Ebit E9 Plus 9Th/s miner, then you need setup like this when the mains voltage is 110/120V :
https://i.imgur.com/dcsOGro.jpg (https://i.imgur.com/dcsOGro.jpg) And buy these two power supplies: HP DPS 1200 http://www.parallelminer.com/product/1200watt-psu-kit-for-avalon-721-80-platinum-high-efficiency-at-94-120v-240v/ (http://www.parallelminer.com/product/1200watt-psu-kit-for-avalon-721-80-platinum-high-efficiency-at-94-120v-240v/) HP DPS 750 http://www.parallelminer.com/product/hp-750w-power-supply-psu-4-pci-e-14awg-breakout-kit-for-antminer-s3-s1-s5/ (http://www.parallelminer.com/product/hp-750w-power-supply-psu-4-pci-e-14awg-breakout-kit-for-antminer-s3-s1-s5/) When the mains voltage is 110/120V, the DPS 1200 is max. power capacity 900W. When the mains voltage is 110/120V, the DPS 750 is max. power capacity 750W. The original Ebit E9 is only about 1000W (882w +/- 10% - 15%). They claim a 1000w PSU is enough. A single 1250W power supply should be more than enough, if you can manage it. I run mine at 110v on a circuit by itself.Info from their webpage Brand Ebit E9 Model 6.3 TH/s @ 882w Hash Rate 6.3 TH/s (-2%~+10%) Power Consumption 140W/T (-10%~+15%, AC/DC 93%efficiency) Chip DW1227 96pcs (14nm LPP process) 6pin Connectors 4 Fan 1 x fan A PSU > 900w with 6pin x 6 needed. PSU Recommend 1000w PSU (Interface type: 6pin x 6). Title: Re: Powering an EBIT E9 Post by: alred911 on November 23, 2017, 02:33:23 PM thx for you reply,

No offense, but how hard is it to read my previous post above? Title: Re: Powering an EBIT E9 Post by: alred911 on November 23, 2017, 07:51:50 PM not offended :)
i was asking if this kit will do. https://www.parallelminer.com/product/110v120v-80-platinum-power-supply-for-s9-antminer/ its not the same references as you suggested. It includes exactly the same power supplies as I mentioned, manufactured by Hewlett-Packard. So yes. Use the HP DPS 1200 for two boards. Use the HP DPS 750 for one board and the controller. Do not mix power supplies in a same hash board!! |
