Title: PSA: Bitcoin cash isn't secure, any number of confirmations can be reversed
Post by: TheReamer on September 16, 2017, 06:52:29 PM
As you know, bitcoin cash hash rate (https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin%20cash-hashrate.html) is currently hovering around 1 exahash/sec. 51% attack to this network is trivial, given that 7 bitcoin pools alone (https://btc.com/stats/pool) have the hashrate to carry out this attack. Any number of small pools can also combine their power to easily attack the network. Any number of confirmations can be reversed. Transactions aren't safe, no matter how deep they are in the blockchain.
