Title: Should a case be filed on the CEO who tagged bitcoin as fraud and bought the dip
Post by: zycrypto on September 16, 2017, 08:02:20 PM
There have been so many controversies this week on the bitcoin space, with strict regulations from china and the viral jamie dimon`s comment on bitcoin as a "fraud" .

Jamie made the comment which made round the buzz of the week and extremely viral which saw the bitcoin price on its recent downtrend, hitting below $2900.

Just yesterday as posted by @iamnomad on twitter, showing a trade of purchase of XBT  bitcoins from JP Morgan Securities limited, recall that jamie dimon said he would fire any of JP Morgan`s employee if they had anything to do with bitcoin. :  )

Lol ^^ I love this narrative, it'd be beautiful if it was real but sadly I doubt it is.

JPM is an investment bank whom buys on behalf of their clients. I highly doubt JPM was buying for their corporate accounts, they are smarter than to open themselves up to litigation with blatant manipulation like that.

Yes, Bitcoin is a semi-unregulated "asset", but the ETN purchased by JPM Europe division is NOT, it is a publicly traded note that follows the same rules & regulations as any other ETF, ETN, or stock. To directly manipulate bitcoin is to indirectly manipulate the bitcoin ETN's and that my friend IS a punishable offense.

Jamie Dimon is laughing at us right now, probably saying "Bitcoiner's just doubled down on their own stupidity". Just saying :P

JPM might have an opinion about something, but that doesn't mean that they stop their clientele from purchasing that something. After all, you are free to be stupid with your own funds, he just isn't going to hire you.

John McAfee said it well.

He asked:  which one is the bigger fraud?

One that costs miners thousands of dollars to make each bitcoin...

or

One that costs the government nothing to print and can print as much as they want.

If we're going to stat suing people for attempting to manipulate bitcoin markets then we have a long backlog to cover.  :P

Answer me this: Do you think that those things are to toy with when bitcoin is so far succeeding for not being suppressed under the current economy we have?

Indeed, and after JP Morgan CEO Dimon announced that bitcoin is fraud, the following days, Chase Bank purchased bitcoin. what an Irony LOL Also. no need to file case to him, there are many bitcoin supporter already defending the cryptocurrency. Yes, McAffee nailed it.

Manipulation of markets is not legal, but it'd be too hard to really track and manage such things in the crypto market imo.

can you prove it? obviously not.
as BitWhale said they are a company that buys on their customers' behalf. these people are experienced enough to not let random people find out their secret affairs and what they do to make money. it was an obvious attempt to crash bitcoin's price, there is no doubt about it but you can never prove it. and i am fairly certain they have invested in bitcoin but not through what we saw. it was well hidden.

besides, this is not the first time and won't be the last. there have been so many different characters doing the same on difference scales. nothing can stop it. in the end it was just an "opinion".

Ok so how can you actually prove that they made a bitcoin purchase for themselves? It was probably a smart investor of theirs that ignored that the CEO was a moron and is friendly with his local banker.

Nah for me, it is just wasting time and effort to actually file cases to those people, besides once filing you would also spend money and then it will just look nonsense to just prove someones worth or the bitcoin's worth when initially they really doesn't care. Just let them be, let them bark all they want, as long as we already knew how much bitcoin's worth and its importance.

I have read that link a day before and thinking that "Why do JPmorgan buy bitcoin if there CEO said it was a Fraud, and then they buy it using there company name?" now I have a doubt regarding the narrative, but who knows it is the world of Business and market its like: (sell your self and you will get more profit out of it)

JPmorgan are not that stupid, They know what they are doing and they doing it in all legal factor and function, in my opinion they are not manipulating the market but Dimon is one person that was very popular in the market business so his words are very powerful that affect the whole market of Crypto. No need to file a case to him.

The downfall of Bitcoin in price I think is not all about Jamie Dimon's bullshit words I think, it is most because of these China issues regarding the banning of ICO's and regulating exchanges for Bitcoin as most of the volume in Bitcoin market cap happens in the exchanges of Chinese people so that's why I think. There is no need to file a case to Jamie because he is just a crybaby and know nothing about Bitcoin.

Market manipulation is not illegal when it comes to cryptocurrencies. It's a paradise for traders, who know what is possible.

It is the free market for crypto currency and any manipulation is possible at the moment as there is no rules and regulation here in this market at the moment and it is like the stock exchange in the 1700s until the bubble act is passed ,like that we are seeing some restrictions in the ICO market and rules will be passed in the future, you could only blame the sellers for this dip and not the CEO . ;D

It cost around $1500 to make one bitcoin currently, to be exact.

I totally agree with McAfee, that's profound. I think these guys like Dimon will always exist to peddle falsehood against Bitcoin but in the midst of the doings Bitcoin always comes out stronger than before so we need such people to really test the strength of Bitcoin from time to time until the whole world accept it as an established currency.

Yes I agree to john McAfee statement. The governments should realize the importance of bitcoin as it is a digital currency and it has a lot of expenses to mine. I do not understand why Jamie Dimon comments about bitcoin such a misery.

I am sure he has something wrong with bitcoin or he wanted to mine all the bitcoin only by his association and that was not possible that’s why he was so upset.
