This is not a question that can be easily answered. It is really luck of the draw on how long your hardware will last. Of course, running in the proper environment, keeping it clean, etc will prolong its life somewhat but you really are at the mercy of the bitmain chips.

I got years out of my old Ant miners i would have still had them running but it wasn't profitable anymore.

Shame on you for even asking that question...no one wants to think or hear about how soon their babies will die..
How cruel of you.
You speak a heresy...it's sacrilegious..blasphemy..
May all our miners enjoy a LONG natural life.
Ahmen.

It mainly depends on two variables.
First is your electricity cost and second is the difficulty increase.

If you're simply talking about the durability of the hardware, I've had a S1 and S3 for a long time and they still run fine.

You also have to remember those older miners were using much older manufacturing technology. As the dies shrink on the ASICs the problems increase. You cannot compare any miner made in the last 2 years with anything older, its like apples to oranges.
