Title: Suprnova Question
Post by: hous26 on September 18, 2017, 12:10:23 AM
So my dad and I are mining a coin we like on Suprnova's pool.  There are a couple hundred miners in our pool.  Together, we've been hitting about 6-7 blocks a day that we know of.  Each block pays out 3 coins but each day we only make about 3 total together.  If we go to a pool with less miners can we expect to get more coins since we are hitting blocks more often?  I know it doesn't make since since it should all work itself out in the end but we're just hitting more blocks than expected according to Suprnova.

At a pool you get only your share. Some pools may give a reward to a finder, but not Suprnova.
Another issue with a pool with less miners: it has less chances to complete a block and though your single share will be bigger, but chances to get it may be smaller.
Again, it is all about probability.

Well the most you will gain or lose by switching a pool is gonna be probally +- 20% and it is all gonna depend on pool luck,if luck is bad u might not even make a single coin on a bad day cause smaller pools take longer time finding blocks

hello!  the answer is no. you will not be able to mine more coin with pool where are less people
that is not possible, on that pool you will wait more time for finding the block, yes you'll getmore reward, but cause you have waited longer - it would be the same
unless you'll find a poll with a god damned luck like 75%  ;D

by the way, nova is stealing about 20% of your hashrate, so if you are mining BTX there- try to switch CWI or yiimp = there you'll earn more for you hashrate
