Title: Odd transaction on my wallet "No inputs, transaction probably sent from self."
Post by: digit on May 28, 2013, 09:52:55 PM
Was checking my wallet on blockchain and it displayed this message beside one of the recent transactions "No inputs, transaction probably sent from self."
I didn't make any transactions so what is the reason for this message?  It shows a a small amount of BTC in it.

Can you supply a transactionID or bitcoin address?  Without either, it would be really difficult to see what you are talking about or find any explanation for it.

yeah heres the transaction, with no sender.  If i'm logged in to my wallet it show that message in the empty space.  Is it some of correction for fees?

There's nothing odd about that transaction. It has a single input, from this address: 1MbojQQSdNA2kVJT9rkkhBt2hqL8An9DgG (https://blockexplorer.com/address/1MbojQQSdNA2kVJT9rkkhBt2hqL8An9DgG) in this transaction: b6bfd604bd4bb0227106d8e8d1b8e81f9ba3509470dee028512eae8dcf33594b (https://blockexplorer.com/tx/b6bfd604bd4bb0227106d8e8d1b8e81f9ba3509470dee028512eae8dcf33594b). What's odd is that blockchain.info doesn't have (https://blockchain.info/tx/b6bfd604bd4bb0227106d8e8d1b8e81f9ba3509470dee028512eae8dcf33594b) that transaction, even though it was confirmed in block 238008 (https://blockexplorer.com/block/0000000000000054c6d02c42de37c4b63ffa68b9c0761c55d43c263de0007b7f), which blockchain.info does (https://blockchain.info/block-index/386608/0000000000000054c6d02c42de37c4b63ffa68b9c0761c55d43c263de0007b7f) have, and it does show that transaction there. What's going on here?

EDIT: It looks like the first transaction was unconfirmed at the time the second transaction was made. That's the only thing in the least bit unusual that I can see. Though that sort of thing is far from uncommon and certainly doesn't explain why blockchain.info doesn't seem to know about the first transaction.
