Title: How to buy EOS through Changelly?
Post by: _Arnold_ on September 18, 2017, 07:40:23 AM
Hi

I want to buy some EOS and I want to do it in the easiest way possible. Earlier I have used Changelly, which is very convenient, for exchanging Bitcoins into altcoins.

Now how do I buy the EOS-tokens through Changelly?

Do I send the coins to an ether-wallet or to a "metamask wallet", when exchanging, orr is it a specific wallet made for EOS, that I should create for this purpose?

How high are the fees when buying through Changelly? 0,5-1%?

Could I exchange EOS for Bitcoins or Ether. And which coin is the cheapest, regarding transaction fees, when exchanging into EOS?

Why don't you buy it from binance, liqui, or even etherdelta? Using changelly or shapeshift is very easy way to exchange a token but it is also very costly. Look at also shapeshift for cheaper offer.

Yes I was just going to mention Shapeshift. will will be able to get it through them.
Also you might consider the Exodus.io wallet system which has support for EOS!

Ok

I have also seen that it can be done through a "metamask wallet". Anyone who knows how this works?
I go to Changelly or Shapeshift and just put in the receiving metamask-wallet there?

And about Shapeshift. Does it work like Changelly but a bit less expensive?

And about ether wallet. I did a wallet on myetherwallet once. I still have a private key and a public key. But I can't remember if I used a password when I created the ether wallet. So does anyone know if I need a password for using my ether-wallet? Or is it enough that I have my private, and public, key still?

I don't want to go though the hassle of making a new ether-wallet. So if anyone knows if private and public key is all that I need I would be happy :). Because I don't want to make a new wallet.

Hey Arnold, if you have a private key, you may simply import it to the myetherwallet in a web browser. Get access to your ETH address and manage any tokens.
