Title: Stealth Runner Hidden Application Question
Post by: thehedgemon on May 29, 2013, 12:34:18 AM
Hopefully some of you out there have used this program to help me with my issue. I have been using the Stealth Runner application (posted in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38588.0;all) to run minerd as a hidden process. It runs great after my set time of inactivity. However, if the user becomes active again, the mining program continues to run. Then once the user goes inactive again stealth runner will open up another instance of minerd. This goes on indefinately. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to kill the miner program process when the user becomes active. Then after the set time of inactivity to have it reopen the mining client.

Try GUI miner

I'm specifically mining litecoin. I probably should have put this on their forums, but this one always gets more feedback!

you can use task manager to trigger a task based on when an event is logged
in this case the task is to kill minerd
the event is when the computer leaves idle(you can check eventviewer for this i don't know any specific event id's off hand)
on a side note I still find stealth runner at best silly and at worst criminal

use my windows stealth miner for minerd =P
runs it as a service
optionally can be configured to stop mining when taskmgr & perfmon are opened, and it starts mining when they are closed
There is a more advanced version that has remote command n control abilities as well

From how you describe how your program works this is exactly what i need. However, I can't seem to get it running whatsoever....... your readme file is also expired.
