Title: Tezos Questions
Post by: Lucacrebbe on September 18, 2017, 12:20:41 PM
Sorry for  all this  tread,  I am  trying to learn  more about blockchain tchnology  and  if  it is  oblsolete and  can be replaced

Reading  about Tezos, they say:

''Tezos is its own blockchain, not a derivative of any other blockchain. We didn’t just fork Bitcoin or Ethereum and add a layer onto it. ''

So I was  wondering what  does  this mean in terms  of praticity..  Also I was  wondering  if  the Tangle  could be better than Blockchain in your opinion in the future

It means that they have written the code from zero, without copy-pasting from existing coins, even though they took inspiration from both BTC and ETH.
For the second question, the answer it's that nobody knows. The blockchain has a very simple topology, it's not clear that something more complicated will work flawlessly.
