We’re very excited to announce BTCC Mint’s newest product -- silver physical bitcoins! The One and Two Bitcoin Silver S-Series coins are the first coins BTCC has created that combine bitcoin with a precious metal.

Only 100 One Bitcoin and 50 Two Bitcoin Silver S-Series coins have been mined so far. All 150 coins were mined before August 1st, 2017 and, therefore, they also have 1 BCC/BCH in them. These 150 coins are likely the only silver coins we’ll be minting this year.

S-Series coins are created with pure silver, meaning that they have fine detail and a bright white, highly reflective finish. Just as silver has withstood the test of time as a store of value, BTCC Mint S-Series coins embody the evolution of value, positioned at the threshold of digital and physical form. BTCC Mint S-Series coins’ union with bitcoin is a symbolic passing of the torch to a new asset that will be used for millennia.

S-Series coins are made by polishing silver blanks to a mirror finish, and then striking the blanks with a minting press multiple times to ensure sharp detail. The proof-quality coins that are created through this process are unique and nearly impossible to counterfeit. Also, the bitcoins contained within S-Series coins are uncirculated, and guaranteed to be newly mined in the year of issue, making S-Series coins the ultimate collector’s item.

Auction terms

- The auctions start now and end at 4 PM (UTC) on Sunday, September 24th.

- The starting bid for the One Bitcoin is 1.20 BTC.

- The starting bid for the Two Bitcoin is 2.40 BTC.

- Winners will only pay BTC, not BCC/BCH.

- The bid increment is 0.01 BTC.

- For your bid, please specify: (1) the coin you want, (2) the serial number you want, and (3) your bid amount.

- Any unsold coins will go back to the BTCC Mint inventory. The coins will be available for preorders on September 19th, and will start shipping to mainland China addresses on September 25th.

- The coins come in an acrylic capsule encased in a wooden display box.

- Payment is in bitcoin (BTC) only. Payment details will be posted here in the OP after the auction ends.
 
- No sniping! Every bid (on any coin) within 15 minutes of the end of the auctions, will extend the full auction (of all 50 coins) for another 15 minutes.

- Winners will have 3 days (72 hours) to make payment. Payments due at 12 noon UTC on Friday, September 29, 2017.

- The coins can only be shipped to a mainland China address or collected in person in Shanghai, China, before October 31st, 2017.

You guys can also look into a mail forwarding service. Thats how I received the 24 rolls of Satori through Canada. The whole process was very easy, a few hundred bucks in fiat for 1 year service in Canada. I did the order in two being I didnt want to risk losing at customs but thats a chance you take. From the time they shipped in Japan to me was 7 to 10 days.

As I said I have a friend in China helping me out but the link attached might interest some of you, your choice. I did it for Satori with no issues.

We've been very busy this year with other aspects of our business.  Due to the imminent regulatory changes for the Bitcoin market in China, we now have a very limited window of opportunity to sell our newest Silver coins.

Beyond September and October, we're still not sure yet what we will do, in terms of next designs, etc.

We stopped making the chips temporarily, and we're about to sell out of everything.  After that, we will re-evaluate and see what chip denominations to continue production.

in all likelihood, the Titanium coins will be retired.
Silver coins could continue, but most likely not by the current method of being made in China.  so maybe that'll have to wait until next year, 2018.

Which ones were you after? There were 3 of the 2 Bitcoin (2BTC) coins that were unsold. Not sure what BTCC has planned for those ones.
I also doubt anyone has any 'extra'. You'd likely have to pay a bit of a premium for the coin, especially now that the auction is over.

I have asked BTCC in the past if they'd consider making a 1 BTC poker chip, just thought I'd mention it again here as they're reading and others may show support for this idea, it seems kind of missing to only go up to 500 Bits chips, btw those are all sold out too & the rolls of 20 x 500 Bits as well, so plenty of demand for the series.

1 BTC is quite a large denomination for a poker chip...  We're not sure if there would be so much interest.
After all, given the appreciation of BTC prices, I doubt anyone out there is really using our Bitcoin Chips to play poker!  :P

If we made one, what color would you suggest?
(We've been following the color schemes of Las Vegas casino chips for our series.)

Another important question:

However noticed fast  and was able to change  the password and email. I apologize  for the inconvenience, i will be more careful next time.

They probably could (I DO NOT speak for btcc) issue you some invoice, but you should square up on the auction first, then work with btcc on what you need.

I did the same. I tried to contact them multiple times before. However I made the payments and hope they will get back to me after the auction is completely over.

Yup! Thx Owl! We both discussed this in a thread I made a while back and then Max commented on it when I asked him if he knew of any out there. I just figured if anyone on here is in China and owns Kialaras they might be willing to see if they could get something made..if any country could easily and cheaply do so! Max did say he'd first get them made for the To the Moons-if and when though. It's gunna be a great day when we can play with Kia's w/out worry!

Hey! I flew from the UK on 3rd October, and flew back on the day you collected yours - the 9th, so just under a week in total. Was a fun time, but stressful worrying about getting the coins out of the country. Didn't have any issues though, what about you?

There are restrictions on taking precious metals out of the country, yep. I was honest with them and declared the coins at customs at spot price (crazy, but it worked out for me anyway). After doing that I didn't have any issues.

Crazy that you declared them, I'm surprised you didn't get troubles with it. They told me that some of the poker chips got stopped at customs before. I was pretty surprised too, but with the amount of coins I was carrying I didn't want to take the risk. Declaring them turned out to be the best thing I did really. I obviously did NOT mention Bitcoin or cryptocurrency and just said they were "commemorative coins" with nothing other than silver value. Phew :D

This set above is #38 on both coins, 1 BTC & 2 BTC. There is another set that belongs to someone else, along with others that have numbers that don't match up. Just glad I have a set of both though :)

You are quite right, I did not participate in the auction. I ordered directly off of the website, booked my trip to China, and went!

That's pretty insane, as they clearly show 1 and 2 bitcoins. If it would be someone who knew something about crypto you might've gotten in troubles. Well yeah, any way to transport them contain some risks I'd say. I've heard from insiders that they're working on some nice coins, So perhaps an other trip to China in the future huh, who knows :D I travelled all the way from western Europe. Quite a trip, but well worth it. Did you stay in the Hilton hotel?

Haha, they did turn the coin over and, looking at the hologram, say "What is this?". I avoided the question and just carried on with my "commemorative coin with no value other than silver" speech :D I know I would have been in trouble if the person I spoke to was clued up about crypto, but that didn't happen.

Yep, so you did as much travelling as I did then! I ended up staying in the Marriott in Shanghai Centre. Was a sick hotel, enjoyed my stay there.

The only likely secondary market will be right here, on this forum. That said, I doubt you will see many appear for sale.

As for the price? Not able to answer your question as we have zero sales to go on, but it's going to be down to whatever someone is willing to sell one for, and what one may be willing to pay.

Thanks for all that info Zepher,  good to know about customs and how everything worked out. I had a friend that use to go to China twice a year but he lives in south Florida now and runs a company.  Japan would be my favorite place to go (bucket list). 

Thank you for your help. Those coins got much harder to get now that you've got to be chinese or be able to pick them up there. Do we know if they could ship them abroad again in the foreseeable future?

As you said, no one is actually selling their 1/2 btc coins for the moment.

If I understand it correctly, as long as the coins are made out of silver or gold they won't be able to ship them internationally.
Chips shouldn't be a problem I guess

If you live in the USA, all you could have ever bought was the "red hat" - They can't legally sell loaded coins to USA customers, just like every other place on earth, including the USA even... :(

Yep I understood it exactly the same way. If the product contains any precious metals, then BTCC will not be shipping those outside of China either.
