I made this topic for people who've already done the research before making any investments and for those who're new here and want to gain more knowledge on the issue. We'll try to discuss very risky investments (as they're not $100 million + projects) which, actually, may result in high reward. Please, share your 5 (or less) favorite coins under $5 million market cap and tell us why are you choosing them?

I like TrueFlip - it is first blockchaing lottery.
That's all I like under 5 millions.
Other I prefer more high volume coins.

I'm not sure if I can give five, as I don't have enough information on everything, but if I were to give you three I would say:

2) OPUS, which I didn't learn much about, but garnered a decent amount of support in it's ICO stages (at least in terms of what people were saying). Like an Asian Spotify that utilises a blockchain? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2011065.0

3) MonacoCoin (XMCC), another MN coin with great returns and the potential for the token itself to increase in value. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2083054

Well below 5mil mk is quite hard to find a good one other than EQT Equitrader.
It has some whales behind it and the platform got bought by Aluna Social which will certainly bring good development to it.
MK is at around 5.5mil mk, low supply ~9-10mil, current price at around .50$.
Hybrid POW/POS
ICO price was 5500sat
Do some research but it sounds like a good project.

Also MSP mothership but has a little higher MK at about 27mil right now.
ICO price was ~1650sat

cbx - if they can pull off their roadmap

perhaps coval if it is not a waste of time

BitSend (BSD) - first segwit masternode coin   with development team - sponsored the crypto hotel meeting in germany few days ago..

Signatum - cool fresh community coin that will go far in development + community

Unify - a fresh coin that helped me to earn good money :D

I like the bitsend and the team is really professional and i hear the team already made the bitcoin x project and that was based in the stake address, It was a good team ever in my opinion. because bitsend is the only token that not based in ico but the only successful airdrop token in this time.

My favorite coin under $5 million is SunContract. $4 million marketcap at the moment. The project is trying to sell green energy to the public with blockchain technology. The ICO has collected $2 million a few months ago and listing at Hitbtc at the moment.

Unitus, they have middle amount of supply. But the development team is working hard on trying to get listed on more exchange. I see them growing hard very soon.

I am going to go up a bit and give you a coin with a 7 million dollar marketcap.  XtraBytes.  Still very much under the radar.  Went through a rebrand recently.  New ANN was published recently. 

It has a dynamic circ supply on coinmarketcap.  Proof of Signature moves each block on the chain. All of the nodes sign each block, adding extra security instead of POW or POS.  It is a language agnostic, smart contract platform with modules . . think DAPPS.

Website and whitepaper are due to be released very soon.  It is traded in the 400-500 sat range on Cryptopia.  It hasnt hit mainstream crypto yet because it is still under development.  DICOM API allows development in many languages.  There is zero inflation.  I'm excited about the prospects of this project.  We all have seen just how well smart contract platforms have done this year.  I'm hoping that this one will improve much of the current technology.

I'm breaking the rules too, what's 2m in marketcap anyway?  XTRABYTES, without a doubt.  Not only is PoSign a new algorithm which is a cool novelty but it's THE new algorithm.  This is the future of crypto and will take away the centralization of the mining consortiums.  On top of that it's a DApps platform with a network secured by masternodes.  Security, innovation, creation, true decentralization, adaptability; what's not to love.

Honestly mostly my favorite altcoin are above 500 million marketcap only ethereum litecoin monero and zcash.. For POW algo i am also still favorite CBX as my choice..  I didn't change my favorite altcoins for a long time  and mostly i am holding Pow coins than PoS coins..

I am also bullish on XBY, this guy may bring fortune and make millionaires in another 3-5 years. Not sure, if the team behind the coin can pull off things being promised.....  being a small player, kept some $500 into it, wish to get back 1000X

hmm, I would say that there are no many interesting projects under your market cap criteria. However, I keen on the idea of OPUS platform, planning to look further and follow their possible development.
