Title: FS: ~350MH/s Ethereum mining rig
Post by: bobbintb on September 18, 2017, 03:35:11 PM
I'm selling my mining rig. It gets around 350MH/s. I just don't have the time for managing it now that school has started again and can't handle the ups and downs of the cryptocurrency market.

LOL what not good enough? It will only take 16 months to ROI if diff DOESN'T budge an INCH. lmao these people.

I have found What-to-Mine to be reasonably accurate ETH wise and confirms the earlier poster's long 1yr+ ROI for this miner.

Not having time to manage it is not a good argument, your ebay customer will ask/need support.

Issues:

1) Currently, almost all mining hardware has lousy ROI because it's at this point, overpriced. It looks like New Egg sells your cards for $3k for a pack of six.

2) Ebay exposure. For a $7k+ item, ebay is chancy. For a high performance essentially, custom item, a scammer could pull many angles. the first one being, didn't perform as advertised.

Ways to consider trying to extract cash:

a) Build two 6 card miners, each being easier on the home miner.

b) Downsize it to a 6 card miner and part out the remaining stuff.

c) Downsize everything exploiting the fact that the GPU's are more fungible.

Ultimately you have to ask the question, who is going to pay $7k+ at this point.

Seems people still don't get that this isn't a eBay reposting forum. Sell it on ebay OR on here, or gtfo.

Im still wondering where youre getting $7k from and why youre posting a ebay link. A rig like that would sell for around $3k to $4k at max, but anyone spending $7k on this rig might as well build their own for that amount, or even better, build around two rigs.

I think this person is just trying to find the idiot at the end of the rainbow that doesn't want to build it themselves.

Not everyone that goes to school is 21. I'm 34. I'm getting my Master's at the university I work at plus my GI Bill so I'm actually getting paid to go instead of paying. Plus,  I'm an adult with a full time job and a credit card.

It's $7k OBO because you wouldn't believe the low ball offers people give. If you think it's too high, make an offer. Sure you can build your own, if you want to spend the time building and tweaking to get the best hash rate. Took me about a month to get it just right but maybe you have more time than I do. Also, you couldn't even get the cards for $3k-$4k, let alone all the other hardware.

My apologies then but school to me is a term used by kids not adults going to Uni. Good luck with your masters.

I mean.. you can get the cards for about $3K so lets leave that alone. Even ebay prices you can snag 580's for around $300 buy it now. But i think the real point is, people here aren't interested in ebay prices. We go off ROI. AND since ROI is shit right now, you flat out wont have a lot of people interested unless the prices start dropping. Video-card prices have been quite inflated for the last 6 months, and that is slowly going away.. so naturally people holding a lot of these cards (you), are going to kind of get screwed in the end. Should have sold this two months ago.
