Downloaded the wallet and followed the steps to add config file in appdata folder but no nodes connected.

Want to try solo mining this. Can you tell me if the nodes are active?

Will there be any bounty's and/or rewards?

Please give it another try.  Server DNS entries have been updated.

Sorry.  No bounty's or rewards.  No pre-mine budget.

Seems like a good coin however listing the coin on Exchange will help quite a bit. I personally do not like Yobit as it's tagged as shady exchange. Would like it to be on Nova to start with. I like the masternode idea as this is where most of the coins are heading towards. Masternode will not only secure coins for long run but will also help in increasing the value of coins.

Maybe go over to the Discord and try to resolve your issue with a legitimate paying pool before you start spreading FUD?  There's plenty of payouts on this pool, with very little issues.

Post your wallet address?

Send an email?

The help is there. Maybe you could have resolved your issues before assuming the worst and branding a fledgling beta pool as a scam.

http://i63.tinypic.com/2vrvioo.png

Scooby is also in beta so why not talk with the pool owners before fearing the worst?

scoobycoin

Yiimp Pool, Skilled Operator, New Coins, And Community Owned

To mine scoobycoin here is an example of your config file

-o stratum+tcp://blocksuckernation.com:3433 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=SCOOBY
https://blocksuckernation.com/ (https://blocksuckernation.com/)

This is how our pool works

1st: you pick a port for the algo you want to mine in this case 3433 for all scrypt coins

2nd: c= is the coin Ticker, The coin Ticker is to tell the pool what coin you are mining
so you dont mine another coin by accident and not get paid out for same also coins

We invite you to join our community, a pool that you can talk to the Pool Operator and Coin Devs
and a place for miners to gather again like back in the good old day where we swapped config files and overclocing setting.

Support chat is open and beginning to populate on discord. If you need any help at all or would like
to ask for a coin to be added we invite you to join the conversation

Mining may be difficult with a computer now.  Difficulty and competing hash rates are too high.

You can also mine by leaving coins in your wallet and this will accumulate interest.

Coins can now be purchased from miners at NOVA.  https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_SCOOBY/ (https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_SCOOBY/)

If you chose to try to mine for profit, you can look into renting a rig.  One website is https://www.miningrigrentals.com?ref=42531 (https://www.miningrigrentals.com?ref=42531)

Rent a scrypt rig and point it to the pool of your choice.  Pools are constantly being added to this post by the community.

Right now there are only 701,271 coins in circulation.

Good luck and happy mining  ;)

That is the plan.  But until then there are staking nodes which are the same thing without a minimum requirement.
Nodes with no coins receive no rewards.  Nodes with more coins receive larger rewards.

There are many problems with other coins that run masternodes.

ScoobyCoin has no problems and is running great with its new system.

Please join our slack discussion regarding masternodes in the masternode channel.
We are in the planning stages and gathering input from the community.

Developer - you seemed very active just a short time ago in your last message here - what happened? We can see you are logging into your account just today and seeing these messages. Not sure what the angle would be here as to not offering even a slight indication as to why your letting the coin get sold to zero. There was never a pump of any sort really so don't think its a scam.  Any correspondence greatly appreciated.

Hello all, everything is still alive.
Still working the angles on the masternode requests from all the users.
An announcement should be in place around block 100,000.
Right now, ScoobyCoin is a fully functioning coin.  Everyone holding onto scoobycoins in their wallets are getting rewarded. There are instructions on setting up your own VPS node for about $2.50 per month.
No premine and developer has not sold any scoobycoins.
It takes your help and support to make ScoobyCoin great!
There is still under 2 million supply, so we need your buying and hashpower support.
Thank you all.

Greetings Everyone!

We are now at 98,733 blocks without a single issue.

As many people suggested masternode upgrade.  Coding is under development for a multi-tier masternode upgrade.

Level 1 upto 500 scoobycoins = 0% POS

Level 2 500.00000001 - 1500 = 10%apy POS

Level 3 1500.00000001-5000 = 20%apy POS

Level 4 5000.00000001 - up = 30%apy POS

currently everyone is receiving 30%apy POS

This would reduce the staking reward.

Is this something that everyone feels comfortable with?  Or do we well enough alone?  Please cast your vote.

What POW reward do you suggest?

Title: Re: ScoobyCoin
Post by: silklich on October 30, 2017, 01:17:03 AM
now block reward is 50 coins.
i suggest miner take 35coins, masternode take 15coins.
i watch this coin from starting... and see dump from miners...
so i think block reward should be changed.

I like the idea of it being multilayered it gives everyone that wants to run a MN a chance, with the price of scooby right now every body should be able to afford it , just as long as were not locked into the level of masternode that we initially started with. I will probably start level 3 but want to move higher real shortly after starting. masternodes seem to give a coin more credibility and stability.  Thats my vote anyway

Looks nice, but coins fo each level should be increased. Even lvl4 5k coins is super low. It can be mined in few hours or bought super cheap.

Title: Re: ScoobyCoin
Post by: ScoobyCoin on October 30, 2017, 02:20:03 PM
The concept of the multi-tier keeps in consideration that the price of ScoobyCoin will increase.
There is also a physical limit of 21m ScoobyCoins.
If every coin were to be locked at 5,000 that would only allow 4,200 masternodes and no circulation of the coin.

Hello all,

Yes, coding is still under development and testing.  Other ideas will be voted on before the new wallets are released.

The new wallets should be compatible with the existing blockchain.
No coins will be lost and do not plan on changing to another blockchain at this time.

I am sure most are disappointed about Nova Exchange closing.  According to Nova, here is the time frame for which we should be concerned about to avoid losing any coins.

2017-10-30 This information goes public, user registration closes, addcoin page closes, disabling deposits of ETC and ETH
2017-11-30 Deposits disabled for ALL coins, all users get level 3 verified account level
2017-12-15 ONE last deposit scan to take care of deposits made after 2017-11-30
2018-01-31 Email reminder to all registered users
2018-02-28 Trading engine stops, dice game stops, API stops
2018-03-31 Login stop, website replaced with information
2018-04-15 Support closes, all Novaexchange user data removed

I would like to know as well. The primary exchange is Nova and as we all know it's done in the next few months officially but for the most part nobody is adding funds there anymore so might as well be done for our purposes.

Trade Satoshi is left but the volume there is basically nothing - the highest coin has 3 btc of 24hr volume.

Developer said after the 100K block we would have a road map for masternodes. Have not heard anything in Slack for a 2 weeks and 100K block was a couple weeks ago.

He started this coin back in May on the Waves platform and then disappeared for months to then start new version and said the waves platform wasn't working for his direction of the coin. I think he means well but seems like this project is maybe 8 or 9 on his list of things he works on.  When starting a new coin and drumming up support you have to at least give some clear answers and show up to your coin's forum once a week if not more.

So my opinion on the project is neutral at best until developer shows the ability to update and check slack more than once every 2-3 weeks.

Title: Re: ScoobyCoin

Hello all!

Everything is still alive and well.

We plan on listing on another exchange soon.

Keep in mind that there are no premine funds and developer has to pay listing fees out of pocket.

Please feel free to donate to the listing fund if you like.  BTC: 1CArohVJCo6b6J9UUT27HwwTUKHoCvC66C  BTC only, do not send ScoobyCoins here.

We are still working on the multi tier update.  I want to ensure that it is working well.  As I do not want to see some malfunction of any kind which are common with other alt coins.  Your dev cares about your funds!

Buy up as many ScoobyCoins as you can.  Current circulation is only 2985895.95234399  With under 3mill, this coin should be trading for allot more.

Hello all,

I am receiving allot of personal messages from exchanges and others who want to offer their services.  It seems everything cost 1 bitcoin.

If you would like to help list and promote the coin, the best suggestion I can give is to buy some scoobycoins and help for free.  As this is a no premine coin and the developer has not sold any scoobycoins.

There is no budget held by the developer.  The developer is no different than any other user.  But if you invest and are able to do a good job, there is a lucrative opportunity for you.

Thanks!

I've disabled manual payouts while troubleshooting.

It appears the scoobycoind is selecting immature inputs during sendmany.   This is not a pool problem but a coind issue.  Maybe the DEV can investigate further?

Things are looking good.

Perhaps it is the timeoffset?

The timeoffset simply shows the relative time with respect to the peers you are connected to (actually the median of your peers).

I would first take a note of the timeoffset with "getinfo".  It may be way off.

Node 1 is healthy with 40 connections and a -1 timeoffset.

1) make sure your clock is up to date with NTP sync on your server.

2)  then I would also suggest to remove any extra addnodes in scoobycoin.conf other than:
addnode=node1.scoobycoin.com
addnode=node2.scoobycoin.com
addnode=node3.scoobycoin.com
addnode=node4.scoobycoin.com

That should hopefully clear things up.

Thanks!

Hey, ScoobyCoin
have you got any plans for the future of this coin?
I have some connections in design/marketing and happy to put together a new logo and theme for this coin.
Any information on where you see this coin going and for what purpose? ill try and take that into account when re doing the design.
If we have a strong purpose it'll help build a community around the coin. Happy to chat more via dm if interested :)

This coin is far from dead.  Software updates are underway to make ScoobyCoin even better.
We rely on community support for advertising or anything else that users are welcome to volunteer.
ScoobyCoin is currently listed on 3 exchanges but trying to list more.
This is a no premine, fair launch, coin with no premined dev funds.  It is a bit of a challenge to pay sites like Cryptopia for a 1/4million dollar listing.
A paid listing has been submitted to yobit, but no response yet.
We need your help.  You are welcome to suggest reliable exchanges for us to try to list at.
Thanks!

Hello, I've been looking at the coin for a long time and wondered if it was dead but today I got your response to the other members, it seems to be fine in my eyes.
I have a question, I see your coin marketing link on twitter but when I join it, I do not see any new posts or followers.
Is it not working or  you Marketing your coin at 1 other place?

Well Coinsmarkets.com is not looking great. Going on almost a week shut down with sporadic info from the site owner's. It just seems like they would be more forthcoming with info if they didn't want to alienate their user base if they open back up.

SatoshiTrade doesn't get much action.

Novaexchange is apparently staying open now. According to their website they will open deposits in a few days after finding partners that allow them to run the exchange more efficiently. The post says they grew too much last year and couldn't keep up which seems a little suspect but i don't know. I wouldn't deposit much there for a month or two to see how it plays out.

I kind of think some of the small exchanges see the end of the crazy bull run for the time being and plan to exit scam.

Yobit would be great if they respond but I've read where they are getting more picky with coins they will list. Prob would be a good idea to have an active Twitter and some more traffic in the slack to help convince them its worth adding.

Best of luck to everyone - Long live Scooby.

Is this project still alive? There has been little communication here and on Slack. Do you have a discord channel for people to help work on the project?

Yes, POW period is over.  ScoobyCoin is now POS only.

Yes, everyone can currently earn Staking rewards for running your wallets.

Plans for masternode updates still in the works.

Please message me.  Everyone are always welcome to help contribute anything to the project.

Listings on exchanges always welcome.

Hi guys, I've held Scooby for quite a long time now I've been staking every day but the last 2 days I'm not getting any stakes instead all I see is "Generated but not accepted". Now I understand this is normal from time to time but EVERY single reward is doing this from the whole of yesterday to the whole of today.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix this?

This is all I've been seeing the last 2 days (no idea why it wont display as an img in img tags lol):

Even if the top ranking person reduces the number of possessions it is necessary to raise the price

A message from Novaexchange.com
Nova headquarters are located in Sweden, which is quite a very cold place. Recently though, we have felt spring in the air.

Great Nova traders, spring clean your portfolio in March.

We have great news, if your March Trading volume is more than 0.2 BTC accumulated you get all your trading fees back at the end of the month (minus any referrals paid out).

Get Some Sun & Trade on!!!

Hi,
This is common with staking coins.
Your wallet will keep on staking until it gets an accepted block.

Yes, it looks like TradeSatoshi is de-listing a bunch of coins.

Any help to get ScoobyCoin on another exchange is appreciated.

ScoobyCoin is still alive.
Staking has not failed.  Staking works fine.
ScoobyCoin is always looking for a new exchange.
Since this is a no premine coin, there are no funds set aside to pay for exchanges.
All personal funds used for listing at exchanges have been exhausted.
Scoobycoin at Trade Satoshi has been removed because the exchange want's to blame the coin for low volume when most of their other coins do not meet their own criteria for volume.
Nova has their own issues and are shutting down for US customers.
If you would like to help ScoobyCoin, please help list this coin on other exchanges.
Thank you!

Ok, what is your plan to move forward this coin?  I dont think Masternodes are good idea, we are at Q3 of 2019 you will not attract people just for adding masternodes.
