Title: What is ETH bottom ?
Post by: JohnSnowSand on September 19, 2017, 06:56:04 AM
When prices are dropping I noticed that once ETH surpasses 200, it starts rallying,
Some times it goes to 150ish but then always above 200$. What do you think is the bottom?

The ETH bottom will be around 6--70% of the current price, when the mining is not profitable.

There can be only local bottom. Price - is that number what people believe and ready pay their money. So...it tomorrow sombody serious (as China ;D) will say "Your ETHERs are nothing for me" the price will go down...
Something like this.

I think its normall around -%50. It will make nearly everyone bullish so price will quickly recover. For most coins with regular development and news. (By that I mean if there isn't any exceptional bad news/hack)

The last bottom was when ethereum fell bellow $143 in July and that happened when the hardfork issue and splitting was in the Top Gear. I don't think that ethereum is going to go back there again. So to me $143 is the current bottom and we hope ethereum keep growing and I do speculate that ethereum may get to $1,000  before the end of this year. If the price break the bottom ethereum may fell below $100 and if it breaks the resistance level of $500 then we would get to $1000.

ETH can still go low as UAE has banned and has issued legal statement that they don't endorse ICO fundraising, they will neither regulate it nor they will give verification to ICO firms, its up to the investors to trust them.
UAE is major country when i comes to money and ICO funding, i hope it will have some impact.

It depends how you are looking:
In short term Chinese news will be used for price manipulation multiple dumps, pumps..
In longer term what do you expecting from ETH anyway? There will be much better projects, which will slowly over take ETH ideas and investors. But at the end no one can predict future.
Also we all can make mistakes in our predictions so better stay aware! If you are day trader then this is perfect time for you! Buy on Bad news!

That is one hell of a speculation but I want to agree with you.
I still have ETH in my wallet and I just keep it for that purpose.
It can go way above $300 and I will do love that profit already. If it can go beyong then it will be better.
The dip that happened recently was because of the news of closing down exchanges in China but hey it didnt fell too much.

Even ethereum decreased it will be okay because I believe this coin will become 1k dollars in 2017 but it depends on the demand on the market if the price increase or not. I hope ethereum coin will increase the price so we can make a lot of profit in the future. More ethereum more money to come so if you have extra money you can buy ethereum now and for sure you will be happy for the result. Pump ethereum!

I think bottom of ethereum could be as low as $90 and I expect bottom between $90-150 in a possible big crash but you know it depends on many things.

probably around the old stable price of $10 and at best at twice that meaning $20. and it will eventually head towards that. there a couple of blocks in from of it which when removed will help the drop greatly.

one of them is the mining and all the miners who have been supporters. when they kill mining ETH all these supporters will also be killed and one big resistance will be removed.

the other one which is even bigger is the ICOs which will eventually come to an stop and there will no longer be this many of them. by that time there will be no more demand for ETH and that is another big resistance removed.

Nobody knows exactly where the bottom of Ethereum is, but I am sure the bottom is not that far away. ETH will grow up in the next time!

There is even chance that 200$ was last bottom we ever saw!
Now still there are so much ICO on Etherium so it could only rise up!
Anyway true nobody know. Even Buterin say sometime that bubble of all ICO can burst.

The bottom is literally 0$, once the cards start crumbling and the whole thing becomes unsustainable, but for the time being I wouldn't worry too much, I think ETH will see ATH in the next wave of crypto hype once BTC starts nearing $6000. We will have, once again, all the noobs getting in at the top, then correction to a new higher floor ad infinitum.

$10,000 is looking good for 2018, and all the altcoins will follow the BTC price so new altcoin bubbles will be formed and ETH will be one of them.

There is a short term bottom and a long term bottom. Sooner or later it will be zero. Short to medium term about $150 is my best guess.

I think we are really close to the bottom. I am a strong believer in ETH. I think it will go up to $300-400

Last Eth selloff, the price dropped to $130. This time when i woke up and saw the price fall to $212, i sold thinking that it would drop more and i could buy at $150-$170. The price rallied quickly and now i felt like crying selling for that low price after watching eth at $400. For now I am just hoping for the price to fall so I can buy it back.

I would say that anything below $200 will become an established bottom price for it and anything on that area will be a buy area for me. I just watched an interview with Vitalik Buterin earlier in a conference which just happened recently (I can't remember the name of that conference) and I must say that their plan with ETH in the future is quite promising. I believe it tackles the Plasma-thing that will be integrated in ETH environment that will somehow copy the ability of VISA to process transactions every second. He said that it will be available next year, 2018. I can't remember if it is Q2 or Q3.

With that being said, I don't know if it will ever comeback to that sub-$200 area with those updates being laid upon by Vitalik.

I agree with that. The recent upgrade is very smooth. So the price might rise sooner or later.

Ethereum cpuld probably going to $100 but...there is very strong support at $200 if this coin going under $200 it will goes to $100 but if this coin hold above $200 then $200 is the bottom price for ethereum for now. We will see what will happen in 2018. The end of this year ethereum it will goes arround $200-$300.

bottom could be anything from zero to three hundred. It might never go below three hundred starting from today, but that's the thing about trading, you never know. Personally I don't see ETH even reaching close to 200 anytime soon. That happened previously because the network expereienced issues that have never been present before. Having fixed many of these things (and improving the network as is being done with each upgrade/fork) will only make ETH stronger. Considering that many people have heard nowadays about ETH, in comparison to, let's say six months ago (ETH had a market cap of 2 million, now it's hovering at about 30 million), it's safe to pressume that it's unlikly we'll see any capital flow off ETH, as it's the leader in the smart contract sectors and a clear winner in what is regarded as user/platform adoption.

it's already going up now. don't waste your time waiting for the bottom, for the long term now is the bottom.
