Title: Questions and clarifications about mining
Post by: Jaycee99 on September 19, 2017, 11:40:24 AM
>Does a Gpu or video card really need to ba required to run under an aircon?

>Can it run safely under the wind of the electric fan? Or air-conditioned is really needed

>How many gpu or video card should be running if you invested on it for 6-7 months?

1: no
2: yes, no
3: 1 gpu only and see how it goes.

Making everything easier, I would just invest into ASIC miners. The resale value isn't there if you can't use it to mine anymore, but that won't be an issue for years. Also the return on investment for ASIC miners, if you can get them at list price, is 2-3 months, which is insane. Here's a short list of ASIC miners and how much they make a month compared to Miningstore.co's GPU miners:
Antminer S9: $262.32 (BTC)
Antminer T9: $203.87 (BTC)
Antminer R4: $163.71 (BTC)
Antminer S7: $16.92 (BTC)
Antminer U3: $-3.73 (BTC)
Antminer C1: $-41.93 (BTC)
Antminer D3: $2,177.31 (DASH)
Antminer L3+: $510.57 (LTC)

Miningstore Imperium: $229.41 (ETH)
Miningstore Nexus: $195.55 (ETH)

Income Rates set for the market prices at 11:05 EST 9/19/17

your calculation is totally wrong :) 2-3 months ROI ?

as of today , 9/19/2017

s9 is 1288$ + psu is another 105 $ shipping for both is around 80$ + custom fees = so one s9 with psu you can get for around 1473$+ your country custom fees
with your calculation 262.32$/months is going to take 5.6 months with current difficulty , but all of us know the difficulty is growing , ROI will end up somewhere around 8-10 months :)

let see the l3+
L3+ is 2280$ + psu is another 105 + shiping is aroun 80$ + custom fees = 2465$ + your country custom fees
with your calculation 510$/months is going to take 4.8 months with current difficulty , but all of us know the difficulty is growing , ROI will end up somewhere around 8-12 months or more as bitmain just shipping out soon a lot of l3+:)

there is only a few d3 out there at this moment , wait a month and do your calculation again :) if you have a d3 right now within a months you can get your ROI :) if you getting next months...who know howw long is going to take :)

AND ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE  , IF YOU ORDERING ANY OF THOSE MINERS RIGHT NOW , YOU STILL HAVE TO WAIT 1-2 MONTHS TO RECEIVE THEM , OR PAY A PREMIUM PRICE AND GET IT FROM EBAY OR ANY THIRD PARTY SELLER, BUT THEN YOUR ROI WILL BE 2-3X TIMES LONGER , DIFFICULTY WILL BE MUCH HIGHER EACH MONTHS :)

have you actually bought or used one?
Theoretical estimates are just that.
Try owning one and you'll know how it can vary.

Btw we dont know if OP is planning on running these in his home or off-site.
Running ASICS at home is a much larger pain in the neck (think sound, temp, power all amplified)

I ran ASICs at first too. It seemed simpler, cheaper & better ROI but if you think 1x S9 in your garage is a pain, imagine 6 of them & the power bill that goes with them. Typically you'd take a little longer to get ROI with GPUs but resale is higher(depending on cards etc) IMO GPU mining is much more flexible. It takes more setup but they don't produce nearly as much heat, noise & you have many options on what to mine.
