ok, I've been trying to fix up this Wikipedia article since the writing in most places is very bad. Here's some tips for other editors:

- Do not put sources in the middle of sentences. They go on the end otherwise it makes reading very difficult and breaks up the flow.
- Paragraphs should not be too thick, nor too thin. Too thick = wall of text. Too thin = jumpy interrupted reading.
- Therefore, however, also <- useless fluff. Unencyclopedic 'filler' words
- Some organisations (who?), ... Some (who?)... After an amount of time (when?)... A number of traders (which?)... Be highly specific and exact with your wording. Better to list the exact traders or exact number; five traders do X.
- "and use the Bitcoin software to trade bitcoin money" <-- I think it's clear that Bitcoin is software and that it's trades money which are called bitcoins. Better would be "and use Bitcoin to trade."
- OH WOW ZOMG LOOK IT HAS ALL THESE FEaTURES. don't do that either. state facts.

Just a minor correction, the name Bitcoin (or bitcoin) is used threefold and should be clearly stated:

• There's Bitcoin the Protocol: the underlying communication agreements and mechanisms that are platform and software independent, well sort of, as soon as we get alternative clients.
• There's Bitcoin the Software implementation, what I like to call the main stream client, written by Satoshi and maintained by the community on this Forum
• There's bitcoins the actual currency unit managed by the clients in the network.

So before starting the wikipedia article I think we should be clear about what we are writing for. I'd say the network as such is more important than any single implementation, and we should write about Bitcoin the Software as a section in there, and not make it the main character in our narration.

Donated.  The article looks a lot better than it used to; much less "bitcoin community self-promotion" which is good.

Should the term "blockchain" be explained before it's used, or replaced with "transaction history"?

Singular of course, it is just Bitcoin.  But is the plural Bitcoin or Bitcoins?

I am a Wikipedian myself, so I'll try to help a bit with this.

One thing that you need to understand: notability (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability) is established by significant coverage of the subject in reliable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources) secondary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_original_research#Primary.2C_secondary_and_tertiary_sources) sources, per the general notablity guideline (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability#General_notability_guideline).

The article's content is OK in general, so you'll have to focus on proving its notability.

On a side note https://xipwire.com/ (https://xipwire.com/) was mentioned in the same article. They setup a wikileaks donation page. That took some gumption if you ask me so wouldnt they be worth approaching as a possible bitcoin exchanger?
