Hello Kato,

I have such sets, 3x7950 and 4x7950 (gigabyte cards) with 'Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3' mainboard and on Chieftec bps-1200c power supply it's like 850-900W on 3 cards and 1000-1050W on 4 cards.

Good luck,
Dave

Hi Kato and welcome to the forum!

1 7950 takes app. 200-250W if i dont remember wrong
4 will then take app. 4 x 200W = 800W or 4 x 250 = 1000W

I haved choosed a PSU with at least 1000W, i rec. 1200/1250

also check so there is enough Ampere och each rail and buy a psu that can handle SLI or QUAD GPU setups

thanks dave! thanks nordicbtcminers!
is that dependent on processors and memories? is it constant consumption?

One 30-50 watts extra fan should be enough.
