List your top 3 coins in terms of technology and what features you like in them. And then list your Imaginary coin and what technologies you would have in that coin. 

For example:

1. Linda Coin - masternodes, pos, pow, and stuff like that.

I am curious what people actually like about these coins besides the financial aspect of it. 

Decred (DCR) - Just implemented atomic swap (changing one crypto to another for free, currently only BTC and LTC pairings)

Ethereum Classic (ETC) - Same as ethereum

Bancor (BNT) - Bancor protocol, running a CRR, trying to create a reserve for all currencies ie. long tail

Bitcore (BTX) - Has huge block sizes, can handle 22B transactions a year.

1 Bitcoin , to many country is legal. ( Example Japan & united state of America )
2 ETH , base platform for smartcontract ICO
3 WAVES , base platform for smartcontract ICO
4 DOGE fast transfer than another altcoin including Bitcoin.

1. Bitcoin, it is the the first coin as it is. And its the most accepted in real.
2. Ether, their smart contracts and asset tokens
3. Monero, the most secure anon coin

These are my favourites right now.

1. ETH - smartcontracts.
2. Monero - anonymity.
3. Byteball - DAG and just like it! :D

yes I agree with your statement, ethereum does have smart contract and monero secrecy guaranteed,
and one more I think waves

1. BTC - The master of all crypto currency. The future currency

2. ETH - Smart contracts with future POS

3. NEO - Smart contract easy to use and develop. No need to study another programming language.

You have some very good choices. I would make some modifications though...
I would not include Ethereum, at least not before they bring a plausible solution to scale. And since the OP did not restrict the list only to altcoins, I would include the king of crypto:

1. Bitcoin: Best permissionless, borderless, censorship resistant cryptocurrency.
2: Byteball: Best scaling solution, built-in chat, bot store and conditional payments.
3. Monero: Best anonymity features.

1. Bitcoin - The grandfather
2. PIVX - 2200+ masternodes, masternode proposals and voting system, staking and just an overall good and fair coin with a decent community and dev team
3. Not sure

ETH will be the next bitcoin plus i like this one due to its smart contracts

we have the same taste in terms of 3 coins differ only to one I like litecoin for the reason that it is lightweight version of bitcoin, and I am not a technical man in terms of altcoins so I guess it is about stability.

BTC -- The king of all crypto currencies
Ethereum -- DAPP & Smart Contracts
Waves -- Smart Contracts

I also believe that EOS will do a wonderful job in the Smart Contracts area

Monero = Privacy
XRP = Fast, Secure, for Banks
ETH = Smart Contracts + I believe a lot of ICO's using ETH Croudsale will manage to build new platforms applications that will help the crypto community grow!

 

I like that and how th ethereum will be following the neo to be the pos coin as soon as possible, With the raiden network and that makes the ethereum can be considered as the future blockchain technology.
But other platform  like lisk was also better for me.

It's really hard to say. There are lots of great technologies out there but there is no doubt Bitcoin is the best and here are some cryptocurrencies with cool technologies in my own point of view
Ethereum - has the most promising platform out there and there are dozens of new coins built upon it.
Nexus - because they have great ideas which include being the first cryptocurrency which will be broadcasting their blockchain from space via Cube Satellite
Monero - because of fungibility

bitcoin: for obvious reasons.
Byteball: because of DAG
Monero: because it is the anon coin

the rest of altcoins are my favorite in terms of profit.
ethereum: it is THE pump and dump symbol
litecoin: brother to bitcoin and moves up with it
ETC: because it is defying ETH and its pumps are always good.
BTX(bitcore): because it has a solid rise which seems to be increasing in long term.

i like 3 of them without waves, since the waves platform is not easy to use like other

Ethereum because of smart contracts, digibyte (segwit and many developments, projects), monero and pivx (privacy), 0x and bancor (protocol). and decentralized gambling coins.

My first will be off course the BTC , the father and king of cryptocurrencies , the next one is the ETH who increse rapidly and the last one is the Waves that have solid platforms and Smart Contracts  .
