the list of top 30 marketcap in crypto changes pretty frequently. if some coin join or drop out of the top 30 list, will you sell those drop out of the list?

The key to index maintenance is the adjustment of the divisor. Index maintenance should not change the level of the index. This is accomplished with an adjustment to the divisor.
Any change to the coins/assets in the index that alters the total market value of the index while holding coins/assests prices constant will require a divisor adjustment. This section explains how the divisor adjustment is made given the change in total market value.

This Equation shows the coin/asset being removed, coin “AB”, separately from the coins/assets that will remain in the index:

Index level_t-1= (Σ_ip_i*Q_i + P_ab Q_ab)/Divisor _t-1

Note that the index level and the divisor are now labeled for the time period t-1 and, to simplify this example, that we are ignoring any possible ASF and adjustments to share counts. After coin/asset AB is replaced with coin/asset XY, the equation will read:


Index level_t= (Σ_ip_i*Q_i + P_xy Q_xy)/Divisor _t

In equations (3) and (4) t-1 is the moment right before coin/asset AB is removed from and XY is added to the index; t is the moment right after the event. By design, 𝐼𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑥 𝐿𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑡−1 is equal to 𝐼𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑥 𝐿𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑡 . Combining (3) and (4) and rearranging, the adjustment to the Divisor can be determined from the index market value before and after the change:

((Σ_iP_i*Q_i+P_abQ_ab) divisor _t-1 = Index level = ((Σ_iP_i*Q_i+P_xyQ_xy) divisor _t

designing an index is not a big secret nowadays. The difficult part is to persuade your investors to put their money to your index fund, also, like mutual fund there will be a lot of regulations from government. if you solve these 2 questions, it could be promising project

You are right, but Coindex vision go further than raising money (actually we are not a fund), we want to stablish a reliable, divesified and accurate measure of the market by the creation of our index family. All the unsold tokens will go to the DAO managed stability reserve. Remember that CNDX price should ALWAYS be equivalent (+/- 10%) to the Coindex30 index level.

If the CNDX price goes above the target CNDX tokens will be sell at a lower price in order to regulate the market.

In the oposite case, if the price is going below the target, the reserve will buy CNDX in order to raise the price.

All market intervention decisions will be announced in the offical website.

Hi Scheede.

As there is a 1 to 0.8 proportion (betwen the amount of tokens sold and the size of the reserve because 80% of the eth, btc and ltc raised will go to it) the market intervention policies we have estipulated should work no matter the amount of tokens sold. Of course, the more tokens sold and the bigger the reserve the better it will work. So, there is not a minimum amount.

Yes, they stop from tweeting and they even stop updating their tracker for 2 weeks now, They didn't inform us the reason behind this. I think This campaign failed.

I didn't get any bounty as a translator. And had hardly any news about crowdsale. Even if crowdsale was failed that is not automaticaly means that project is closed. It would be great to receive some official report.
