shares are the places to participate in the campaign and will be rewarded after the campaign ends, which I think do not know about the others.

Now many bounty programs offering stakes instead of BTC.They are distributing their coins like 1% or 2% to the bounties.
For example : Total alloted coins for the signature campaign be 1,000,000 coins. If you earn 1 stake per week in signature campaign.Total 10 stakes in 10 weeks, and Total stakes earned by all participants in signature campaign bounty program be 10000.
Then the no of coins you will get,

           Your total stakes
    ----------------------------------------*Total Coins alloted in sig campaign
    Total stakes earned by all

  In the above case it is,
                    10
                  -------- * 1,000,000 = 1000 coins.
                 10000
So you will get 1000 coins of that particular bounty program.Hope it's clear.

Stakes are like shares or stocks you have in a company, since we are here i  forum, then, it can be called as the shares/stocks you have earned in a campaign or project. This will tell you how much you have earned in that campaign.

The stake is similar to the value of the project. The stake is usually given in tokens, and when the project grows in the future, it’s value is worth exchangeable with common online/offline currencies including the bitcoin.

If you click the link below, there is a way to get a free tokens from the injoin project. You can get tokens with simple participation. Thank you.

It depends on the coin listing price on any exchange. For example, if you 1000 coins earn through bounty campaign stakes and that coins listing price is 0.00001000, then your value in BTC is 0.00001000x1000=0.01BTC.

The beginner section should be a good place for you, Stakes just reflected how shares you will get after completed the job such as blog or moderation. How much your stakes depend on the how many total stakes already existed and the total amount to the job.

Stakes means your share during the campaign. It indicates the percentage of what you will get after the ICO ended. So the more stakes you earn, the more shares you will get.

For sure, it will be specified in the sig campaign as well so that you would be able to evaluate the worth of the stakes gained. Just review the sig campaign before entering.

Stakes are a share of the total of coins allocated to a specific bounty campaign, e.g. Translation bounties have an allocated percentage of the total bounty pool.

It is more like a share. The bounty campaigns here have to have bases as to how they would assign bounty tokens to campaign participants. So the better way to do it is to create stakes that would vary according to your bitcointalk account rank. Some others, although very seldom, stakes are given per post.

Stakes is the percent of your share on the rewards by the campaign . It is used in solving for the total shares you will going to get . Some ICO show their equation on how to solve your total shares in the end of the ICO. There are also shares , points and etc , it is similar to the stakes.

I think the stake is a result obtained from various projects by following the campaign's signature and completing it until the end of the specified time. usually coin can be either eth or another because also many kind.

To summarize, the stakes earned in each campaign will NOT be pooled together but rather the coins in each category will be divided in each category separately.

For example, after counting all Twitter retweets, the bounty manager will make a table where everyone who reposted will see their personal bounty stakes earned in the Twitter category.

It is about bounties for some icos or projects. It simply shows your participation to their desire. Your rank affects it cause I guess forum's old users are experienced and more reliable.

As most of the members have already pointed out, stakes are used to award people who participate in campaigns and then further divided as per a formula that the campaign manager has predetermined to further awards tokens to participants.

I think Stakes are records of shares distributed to workers who participates the project. Others says that this is the percentage of the shares in the rewards of the campaign. It is solved based on the eqautions given by the ICO. Stakes are also the points given to you I guess.  ;D :)

stake is a quantity that help to distribution coin or token or btc after the end of the campaign,here my calculation

suppose one campaign give 50000 coin or token  to the bounty hunters after the campaign for signature .
payment structure :

legendary = 5 stake per wk
hero member = 4 stake per wk
sr member = 3 stake per wk
full member = 2 stake per wk
member = 1 stake per wk

if the campaign will run about 5 wk and participant are only 5 person  then participants will get 5x stake like below

legendary = 5*5=25 stake
hero member = 4*5=20 stake
sr member = 3*5=15 stake
full member = 2*5=10 stake
member = 1*5=5 stake

now calculate total stake for all member = 25+20+15+10+5=75 stake
now need to calculate 1 stake = how many coin?
so total coin divide total stake = 50000/75 = 666.66666666 coin per stake .

now all participants will get

legendary = 5*5=25*666.66 = 16666 coin
hero member = 4*5=20*666.66=13333 coin
sr member = 3*5=15*666.66= 9999.9 coin
full member = 2*5=10*666.66= 6666.6 coin
member = 1*5=5*666.66= 3333.33 coin

this is the calculation of stake

Are you talking about bounties stakes or Proof of stake?
What he really wanted to ask is that what is stakes and what does it do.

Well stakes are the number points you're earning every end of the week or at the end of the ICO itself. And that points are determined if you really have finished the necessary numbers of post that the ICO requested. And the number of stakes depends on what rank you currently have, the higher the rank the more stakes you'll earn.

And what stakes really do is that, it will be your ticket to what will be its value of tokens that you will be receiving after the ICO. So basically the manager of the campaign have the formula for it, the number of participants and your rank will affect the numbers of tokens you will be getting.

Stakes simply means the shares that you have in a campaign. Stakes are used to determine how much will you earn from a project. Stakes varies depending on the campaign and your forum rank. The one who manages stake distribution is the campaign manager, also the one who'll check if your posts are qualified and if you are eligible for the reward or stakes.

stakes are the count of your share for the campaign and also this is were you participate on the campaign and you will rewarded for it by the end of the campaign so you must follow the rules in order to get the reward. other campaign don't have stakes so you must read their campaign carefully to avoid problems

Stakes are used for bounty campaigns, it basically means shares. It will represent the percentage of the overall bounty or coins to be given away that you will receive. This method somehow makes bounty campaigns more profitable especially if there are only few participants then you can get huge percentage, given of course that the project is a success.

Title: Re: What is Stakes?
Post by: jets567 on September 25, 2017, 02:55:55 PM
it's basically your share of in the total bounty of a certain campaign. If the bounty is said to be staking every week depending on the post requirements and the rank of the account you are using to join the bounty campaign. Add i respectively and the amount of the weekly stakes will be your total stakes for the entire bounty campaign. More stake = More Gain/Profit for the bounty hunter.

Stake means "POSITIONS", in the investor's term that means the amount of security either owned or owed by investor or the dealer. It is commonly used in Finance and stock market business as STAKE HOLDER'S (share holders).Yes you have guessed it right in there are some bounty program where you will get some amount of stake(positions) for completing the particular work on time in place of coins.

You can calculate 10 stakes by multiplying the value of one stake with 10. Suppose lets assume that the value of one stake is 0.02 BTC then your 10 stake value is 0.02*10 which is equal to 0.2.Even getting paid by Stake is also good as you owned them and holding them for few months can get you more price if their value goes up, similar to that of Altcoins and stocks.

Stakes is not a valuable thing like token/coin. It's like a point which use for doing easy sum. Which bounty campaign give there coin/token percentage basis those bounty give there participants stakes. It's easy to use right sum.

In business, a stakeholder is usually an investor in your company whose actions determine the outcome of your business decisions. Stakeholders don't have to be equity shareholders. They can also be your employees, who have a stake in your company's success and incentive for your products to succeed. They can be business partners, who rely on your success to keep the supply chain going. Every business takes a different approach to stakeholders. The roles of stakeholders differ between businesses, dependent on the rules and responsibilities laid out at the founding of your company or as your business evolved over the years. The most common definition of a stakeholder, however, is a large investor that has the clout to hold a viable "stake" in your company.

Here is the simple analogy.
Let's suppose that bounty campaign budget is a cake.
1 stake is like a 1 piece of the cake. More participants - more pieces, but each piece is smaller.
For instance your reward is 5 stakes. This means you will get 5 pieces of the cake  ;D

Stakes are allotment of your entitlement after the bounty end. You are expected to participate in a campaign in other to get a stake of that campaign. The owners of the project will alloted to the campaign participants according to how much they performed during the campaign. It may be twitter campaign or signature campaign.

In general or business term:Stakes are basically the amount that you contribute on a business wherein there is also a risk since that depends on the market but in this business or field that we have - we always see STAKES whenever a project dev pays the bounty hunters like Shares. Well, we are not giving out any amount of cash for the project but we giving our TIME which I think is precious as well to get our STAKES.

Stakes means sharing the work of earning part of the campaign campaign in equal proportion. The more stakes the earnings will be more.
