Title: running 7950/7970 together on same rig with cgminer
Post by: mxc0bbn on May 30, 2013, 04:17:48 AM
Just purchased a 7970 and want to put it to work, but I can't seem to find the right information on how to best configure a 7950/7970 combination.

Anyone have any experience running these two in the same rig with cgminer?

Or if you know of a thread with the info I have eyes and can read :-) I probably haven't searched using the right keywords.

Thanks,
Mike

Run them in two separate cgminer instances.

Ah, didn't know you could do that since cgminer always picks up all 4 of my cards on startup...

I'll have to read a bit to figure out how to exclude one...

Thanks for the tip...

Is this for BTC or LTC?

For BTC, CGMiner should set the defaults to the fastest combination, which is actually the same for both: -k poclbm -w 64 -v 1 -g 2. For LTC, you will probably want to run them in 2 instances with different settings.
