the machine is less important than your electricity costs and set up. have you used a calculator to figure out whether you'll be profitable or not? mining moves pretty fast. the last difficulty adjustment was way up and eats into everyone's profitability.

and you never know. if chinese mining is banned you might be in for a discounted s9 and a profit bonanza if they all disappear.

Even if the Chinese banish their miners (which I do not believe at all when Russia (ally) is trying to reduce the costs of electricity for Russian miners, so it's just an announcement effect. miners will leave with their graphics cards rather than let this madness escape them.

So yes, not a good buy.

if his power is cheap enough it could still be a good enough buy. the problem is most people don't research or take into account what the big miners are paying. sometimes it's literally nothing. and the serious miners will go to the ends of the earth to find power at the right price.

FYI: electricity in central Russia costs around $0.01-0.02 p/kWh, in Moscow — $0.08
So sometimes it is cheaper to go cloud mining (if you are sure that it is not a scam) where power costs are significantly cheaper.

Good luck

cloud mining companies are mostly scams and it is nit an investment for newbies.

get good returns with BTC mining already is hard because the difficulty is too high, have a good ROI for you and to others is ever harder and unlikely

What does it mean? Do you suggest that asic is unprofitable? I read description and sellers say that I can get 0,03btc/day. Is it true information?

What about this idea: For example, I'll start mining altcoins and convert it in BTC? Shall it work?

I think antminer bitmain s9 can only mine with bitcoin but if you really wanted to mine with altcoin i think antminer L3 is much better good choice and you can mine altcoin which is support algo scrypt or litecoin i think this is massive generating profit if you bought L3 before its really cheap unlike today because the price of litecoin is increase those who are mine using L3 can earn profitable.

The other choices is to build your own GPU mining rig and mine altcoin if you don't have any money to buy bitmain L3..
This is also a good alternative if you have a good GPU speed you can get a good hash speed..  you can check this calculator https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator and you can see the listed gpu and it will automatically calculate the daily to monthly earnings. .

Thank for your answer. Could you advice me some internet sources or good youtube channels where I can find more information about this devices and about mining?

Also, good luck on finding a cloud mining website that actually pays and does not rip you off of your money. It's like you're giving free money to those who are lazy enough to earn it themselves. :)

As for the miner, Avalons are also good bitcoin miner for $850, which can deliver 6Th/s. S9s are available for $3300+ which can deliver 13.5 Th/s and are notoriously known to break after several months. I'd personally go with Avalon, but it's always out of stock so it's hard to acquire them.

You can select the coin and enter power here https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/ltc
Then you'll get all profit calculations.

Man, if you bought it, please sell it as soon as possible. And if you didn't, don't. Read hundreds of pages about mining. Watch hours of videos about mining. And then buy. Spend at least few days just for research. Other way you will lost your money. Do you know how loud Antminers are?

I tried it a bit, but with all the good intentions everything was over. My friend persuaded me, but then it turned out to be a bad way to get things done. All in all, I do not like it, but you can always try it.
