Title: So I haven't used traditional web forums for quite some time...
Post by: syncretic on May 30, 2013, 06:01:13 AM
I've been using sites like reddit and hubski for the most part. The first thing that pops into my head is...

...what should I put as my signature?

TIL. Thanks for the info. Although that shouldn't be hard, I've been told I'm quite prolific.

Maybe you can put a cool quote as your signature.

Another redditor here. Been meaning to get my escape-from-newbie-land post count up for ages.

Never got round to it... how many do we need again?

What's your username on reddit?

soundhead.

Many years ago, I was a big fan of a post-psychedelia UK band called Loop.
Their fans were called soundheads.

I picked "syncretic" way back in 2003 when I was choosing an irc handle - I flipped the dictionary open to "syn" and found it almost immediately - it was originally in reference to my musical tastes but I find that I generally try to live a syncretic lifestyle. My username on reddit is /u/syncretic2, because I deleted my original account in a fit of rage sometime last year :P

A pleasure to meet you.  :)

What is Syncretic music, out of interest?

It means I like a lot of different styles of music, especially different styles of music blended together.

Do we only get static sigs on here?  I always like some sort of script to pick from a list.

How about... don't have a signature unless you actually need to promote something? Sigs are spammy and just add unnecessary noise.

You can have a sig at any post count, no links until 10+
